What do YOU do for pain? yeah, all kinds. some is physical, some is emotional, some is mental. and it isn't always, constant, either. so... when it gets bad - what do you do?

Humph, my pain is usually all of the above. Clearing my head helps me with mental pain, crying helps me with emotional pain, talking to a friend helps with my social pain, and pain relievers help with the physical pain I have do to certain mouth problems I inherited. Whenever I get made fun for havifng LD's I tend to hide my emotions.

I usually just hide my mental pain and cry about it when nobody's around. sweatdrop
For emotional pain, I do the same thing as I do for mental pain.
As for physical pain, I just ignore it.

Physical pain can be ignored or worked through, or I brace/tape/wrap the offending joint and take an ibuprofin.
For the rest of it, I rant at a few close friends or write/draw.
edit Then again, there are some things no amount of ace wrap will fix... Like the way my neck's been acting lately. I can't do a damned thing about it!

for physical pain I ignore it
as for social pain.... I dont like most people, so I don't have that problem.
and for mental/emotional pain I bottle it up and either break stuff(i've punched 3 holes in my wall), cry when noone's around, or talk to a really close friend/girlfriend (I'm a guy long story, read my introduction in the thread) and cry on their shoulder.

I love you Decious <3 Most people suck.
I've been bumped up to Dihydrocodine (I think that's how you spell it x.x) with added paracetamol...not that the paracetamol does anything anymore. rolleyes
As for mental and emotional, I don't get headaches much (hardy har har) and I tend to ignore emotional stuff until I can't help it and leak :S T'is a really unhealthy way of dealing with things, I know x.x
On a side note, woot! A new topic!

Pain? Er. I ignore it, mainly. Until I can't. And then I break down and cry, but most of the time when I do that, I'm alone anyway, so it doesn't really help much.

Emotionally,Mentally,Physically
Emotionally,I turn to my girlfriend, she understands me the best. Mentally,I also turn to her. Physically,I use pills or whatever gets me by whether it be legal or not. But how your body feels is how your mind feels, and vise versa.Sometimes I don't even notice my disability.

For physical pain, I sleep. I can't feel pain if I'm asleep. As for mental and emotional... I write. And I pray that it doesn't last forever.

For emotional: I write, I used to talk to my friend at my old school, now I write, dive head first onto my bed and start crying, or if I'm frustrated I throw things around my room or scratch my arm. For mental: I call myself stupid and get on with my life For physical: Its usually my back so I ignore it or if its bad I lay down against a pillow to put pressure on where it hurts. If its my leg I just sit on the floor or on a chair cross legged. If its my ribcage, I press my arm against where it hurts.

I usually swallow all of my feelings and put them in a pit and don't let them come out. That only works for a while until the pit overflows and then you get whats called a "breakdown."

I usually try to ignore psysical pain, since it's constant for me because I have RSD in my left leg/foot. I do as much as I can and try to hide the fact that I'm in pain from the people around me, even when I feel like screaming. Mind over matter, right?
As for emotional/mental pain, I work through it or shut myself away until I can handle things better. My medication helps, and I know how to deal with my mental problems.
