I got this letter from the ABC. Dear Sarah-Jane Thank you for your email. It is quite common for a lag of 3-12 months between a program premiering in the country of origin and the International rights being offered for sale. The good news is that we have purchased the rights for new series of Doctor Who - Adventures in Time and Space, however as it has not been scheduled yet, I cannot say when it will be on. I suggest you keep a watch for it by regularly visiting our 'Must See' TV website: http://abc.net.au/tv/Thank you for writing and for your interest in the ABC. Kind regards, Anna Uszko Audience and Consumer Affairs Okay, okay... I put my name down as sarah-jane smith. but that's the name we at school use for any sign-up things. but... ARGH! when is it going to come on???

i cant believe you got the reply so fast! i though it would take at least a week. and i cant believe that they still wont tell us when doctor who is coming. you dont need to be too upset Doctor, because you and Nissa have already seen it but what about me? you still have that thing about Jamie and i have to suffer because of it, even though i was not involved!
(P.S. Doctor and Nissa are just nicknames for Timelady and isidar (did i spell that right?)) (P.S.S. sorry if i did spell it wrong)

now you know how we feel in the UK for most things sci-fi Doctor Who is unusal to be a brilliant Sci-Fi program and from the UK.
And cause it's from the UK is most the problems, all the major american/canadian TV stations don't believe how good it's going to be.

Hairy Priest Timelady42 ARGH! when is it going to come on??? Supposedly, ABC will begin showing the new season on Saturday 8 July at 7.30pm. That's, like, next month. Lucky Aussies... WHAT??? eek I'm going to check the website, they should have a schedule up already for July... will edit this post when I get to it. Okay..so they only have till the end if this month, and not even all of this month either. The only thing Doctor Who I could find on the site was http://www.abc.net.au/tv/guide/highlights/s1413868.htmwhich is just a summary of The Christmas Invasion. That means we'll be shown that first. Only..when??? Okay..from the BBC website, I got that it has been sold to ABC, the article was written on 06-04-05. Nope..that was Eccleston.. Got it. Fans in Australia finally have a debut date for series two of Doctor Who, according to an email sent to a fan by the Audience & Consumer Affairs department of ABC Television reported at the Doctor Who Club of Australia site. According to the note, ABC has recently completed negotiations for rights to show the second series, which will begin on Saturday 8 July at 7.30pm, presumably with "The Christmas Invasion" followed by the thirteen episodes of series two. The ABC website will hopefully soon have details about further scheduling. (Thanks to Adam Kirk and the DWCA) from: http://www.gallifreyone.com/news.phponly, how reliable is it? Wouldn't they have started advertising for Doctor Who already? And that letter KB got - nope, changed my mind. It's been purchased, but haven't scheduled. So it probably IS July. YAY!! Especially since on the ABC webiste it says Doctor WHo: Comming soon. YAY!!

Maybe Ms. "Sarah Jane Smith" could send ABC another letter...

No, the abc said it wasn't scheduled. It should be by now. And they have it on the list, saying 'coming soon'. All we really need to do, is wait for say..KT's bday, go on www.abc.net.au and search next month's tv guide!! It should be reliable. What it would mean is, we get the christmas invasion on the last day of this series in the UK..which would make sense.

Velvetnight i hope they dont just show us the christmas invasion and then leave it for another month.(they have done that with lots of good tv shows, bloody ABC!) Welcome to our world smile I could have killed the BBC for running trailers for the Christmas invasion when last season ended (i.e. 6 months before it was due). Then, after the invasion, they made us wait 3 or 4 months... *wanders off grumbling* Yeah, I know we shouldn't complain in the UK, but torturing us like that is unfair smile DW
