Paxton looked down at his dragon who was pawing nervously besides him. In his hand a chocolate cake. "Don't look like that Buttercup...erm, or should I call you Marigold. If your name were Marigold I could call you goldy for short!" The love birds eyes beamed as he thought about it some more. The dragon on the other hand was some what less than enthusiastic, and raised its sad, sad, eyes at Paxton giving him a feeble look, before it flicked its tail and moved its head towards the door again.
"As I was saying," he coughed trying to get himself to focus again. More and more these days he was acting as absent minded and perky as Gabby. "Nothing bad will happen. I just wanted to give Mr. Orpheus this cake, as a thank him for teaching me how to fly!"
Paxton's mind now wandered back to his first flight class. At first he was smiling, but then smile quickly faded and was replaced by a look of somewhat horror, in that 'oh god!' sense. "Wow..." Paxton looked down at his cake, he had decorated it himself. "He really does deserve this; I was being a pain in the tail feathers that day."
Again the lovebird knocked on his door. Thankfully D-corp left all information about parents and teachers readily available...that or Naito had pulled a few illegal strings. Besides, it wasn't as if Paxton wanted to bother the poor man and his family. He just wanted to thank him. "Perhaps we should come back...maybe he's busy with something."

Terpsichore was coiled up in front of the couch, scratching at his cheek, it was going slowly but better. The bits over his face were peeling off so he could at least see now, it made it better then when he was wobbling around and running into things. Didn't make it so that he was happy though, it still itched liked crazy! He lifted his head as he heard a knock at the door then turned to look at Mr. Red... who for the present it see was away from his normal place at his desk.
The snake gave the door a glare, he wasn't getting it!
...
He gave a hissing sound then uncoiled himself and made his way towards the door and reached up, yanking at the hand until it gave way and opened.
Quite the site to behold was the small, shedding, glaring snake as he opened up the door and starred at company, "HISSU!" He said, lacking any real vocabulary currently due to his lack of desire to bother learning.

Paxton smiled brightly as he held out the cake, "Hey Mr. Orphe---" the love birds eyes opened. Huh, there was nobody there. Paxton dropped his shoulders as a confused look flitted a cross his face. "Huh..." He scratched his head rather confused as to what was going on. Where was Mister Orpheus, if he didn't open the door then someone else must have.
It was the hiss that caught Paxton's attention. Also caught him off guard I might add for he, stumbled backwards and tripped over his dragon, who let out a sort of shrill and terrified cry, "Wiiiiiing." It squealed and fled. Ka-blam. Paxton hit the ground with a loud thud. Oh but that wasn't the bad part, in the process of loosing his balance Paxton had lost the cake.
Which, at this very moment, was headed right towards Terpsichore's head. "Aaah," Paxton's eyes were wide with that feeling of terrible anticipation. It was one of those moments, where time seemed to slow down into milliseconds and everything was perfectly visible. Paxton knew all too well what was coming.
"L-look out!" He tried to say, but the words came a moment to late, as the brown chocolate and iced pink concoction landed upon Ter's head. Hmn, it seemed that Paxton's prone tendency for accidents hadn't left him as he had grown older. Yay for accident children!

Nobody was more suprised then Ter when the cake landed on him, his yellow eyes got twice their normal size and he lifted a hand up to touch it as if to confirm that it HAD in fact landed on him... landed... the bird had...
The cobra child started to flail his arms his mood starting to grow a bit darker, someone dared to throw a cake at him! That wasn't of course what happened but that was how he saw it! The bird had attacked him! With sweets!
He lashed the end up his tail and started to hiss out unintelligebale things at the child in the language of... baby snake? Whatever it was it sounded both angry and well... not very understandable.

"Ah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Paxton sprang from sitting to his knees as he leaned foreword to scrape the frosting and bits of cake from Ter's face. He truly felt bad about this whole thing. He hadn't meant to cover the others face in the yummy desert. Oh man this kid sounded angry. Even though he was speaking...snake, yes defiantly a D-corp child, Paxton could tell he was not happy.
The boy continued trying to clean off the muck, with a terrified expression on his face. Unbeknown to Paxton, Ter was shedding, this probably meant that the love bird was only making things worse on the snake, snagging off bits of un-needed skin that might not be ready to come off yet.
"Heh-heh...th-there we go. All better?" He pulled back, peering at the disaster he had created. Hmn, not much better than when the cake had landed on him. It was the frosting sticky stuff. "...Water we need a wash cloth or something." Paxton looked around nervously, he didn't want to go in the house and ask for some, he had already made one member made enough. "Maybe Buttercup erm, I mean Marigold...goldy! Whatever, maybe she can lick off this mess." Paxton turned around to look at his dragon who was now several feet behind him. "MARY, COME HERE."
The thing didn't budge, she just sat there looking at him, she knew better than to drag herself into this mess.

Ter flailed all that much more when the bird started to 'attack' him. He was onto the bird now, he was after his skin! He was stealing parts of it. His young mind came to the odd and VERY wrong conculsion and he only started to grow that much angrier. First Mr. Red makes him shed like this in his attempts to make Ter behave and now this crazy bird was trying to steal his skin!
Ter thought not! The snake child coiled back, muscles in his coils bunched, tightened, and then he lunged forward at Paxton's legs trying to knock him over. If he were able to unbalance his attacker then he could get the upper hand! He would be able to then flee before more of his skin was stolen by the bird.

Ter coiled up agains seeming to be preparing to strike again... then Paxton spoke and all agression seemed to fade only to be replaced by confusion. Wait what...? Hugs and kisses? He gave a hissing sound this time sounding the way a he felt why in the world would the bird-child want to kiss and hug on him? The only one in his life that did that was Mr. Red and Ter only put up with it instead of liking it...
But... why would this one want to hug him? A trick of some sort maybe? He seemed to be frozen for the moment in indesicion on where to go from that point... Attack... flee... get hugs?

The cobra child got rather flustered as he was scooped up, squirmed a little bit but gave up when he found himself being hugged on. He gave a hissing sound of defeat or so he made it to sound like anyways so that it couldn't be said he liked hugs or anything like that. Then he let his eyes close a moment, head laying against the bird boy's chest.
Ok... so he wasn't that bad.
He listened in on the sound of the others heart beat and it seemed to calm the snake and he started to sway a bit in Paxton's arms.

Hmm, hugs were nice. Yahto had been right, love works best on people! Even it seemed the crankiest of critters seemed to give in when you showed them some care and affection.
Ter wasn't thrilled about it, Paxton could tell by the noises that were still coming out of the little guy...but in the end he was content enough just to give in and let Paxton hold him. Which, by the way, Paxton was ever so happy to do. Most of the kids he met ended up running off in tears or screaming. This was such a nice change!
"Wah, your good at this whole snuggling thing," Smiled Paxton as he kept Ter in his arms. Well he held him as long as he could, when the snake started wiggling. He didn't seem that angry, but maybe snakes wiggled when they were upset. You know, like a cat, maybe this was a sign that the kid was getting more irritated than before. "Eh, maybe enough for one day?"
Paxton tilted his head back some to look at Ter before he pulled him away and leaned over to set him on the ground. "Well, I didn't get you cleaned off, but your happier now right?" his mouth parted into a smile as he reached out and sort of gave Ter a pat on the head. "...guess I'll have to come back with another cake."

The cobra child coiled up when he was set back down and he brushed at his skin, puffing up a bit as if to say: I let you do it. I didn't like it at all... yeah... thats it. Hard to tell but if one looked close enough they could tell that despite being covered in cake and still shedding some the snake was in a bit better of a mood.
Ter looked up at Paxton then flicked his tongue out at him before turning his head, feeling the footsteps that were coming towards them long before he heard them, "Red!" He told the bird boy a moment before Orpheus appeared.
The teacher stood came to a halt and could only stare for a moment as he took in the site that was the two of them covered in... something. He looked over at Ter noting his improved mood for which he was going to have to thank Paxton as it seemed his doing, "Hello there." He greeted the student, "How are you doing. I hope Ter didn't... cause all of this." He said motioning.
Ter flared up some, indignant. The bird threw the cake at him! It was all his fault.

"Mmm. Yes I remmeber you from class. How could I forget that sort of group." He said, smiling. It had to be one of his most interesting classes that he'd done so far.
Orpheus listened to the tale of the meeting between his son and the bird child and he gave a smile, glad that things had gone well between them, "He let you hug on him?" He asked, sounding rather curious before looking down at the snake child.
Ter was looking somwhere that wasn't at his father as if he were trying to deny the fact that he'd been hugged, it was a lie! Then again it was easy to tell because he was covered in cake and he'd gotten it on Paxton while he was at it so... the evidence was all there.
"The cake was a very sweet idea, I thank you for the effort." Orpheus said then walked over to them and knelt down, looking Ter over, "You gonna need a bath huh?" If nothing else though the kid like that, to get to splash around and swim about when he was able.
Ter flicked his tongue out at Orpheus then moved over to coil around Paxton's leg, "Hisssssu!" He said pointing at himself.
"Hrm? Ahh! His name is Terpsichore, Ter for short." Orpheus said to Paxton, introducing the snake to the bird since the snake lacked the ability himself.

Ah, Orpheus remembered him. That made Paxton happy, and he smiled feeling all content and warm inside. "I hope I wasn't too much of a pain back then." The love bird chuckled as he pulled up his shorts some. Damn, these things were always slipping down...but they were so much more comfortable than having to wear longer pants. If Paxton had his way he would run around practically naked, but he refrained people seemed to have a problem when others ran around naked.
"Yes, yes!" Chirped Paxton, "Hugs make everything better!" He looked down at Ter who was now curling around his leg. He didn't know why but it sent a small shiver up his spine, but the shiver quickly faded replaced by more warm and fuzzy feelings. "He's so cute! Bet he'll be really handsome when he gets older!" That's right Ter was just a little kid right now...perhaps Paxton would have to come visit some day when he got older. Perhaps to bring another cake again? No, he would have to do that sometime soon.
The lovebird reached down to pull the cobra off him, a very difficult task, I must add, but he managed to scoop Ter up into his arms. "Ah, Terpich--- Ter, I like it!" Defiantly a long name, it would take Paxton a while to learn it. He cradled Ter for a moment before realizing this probably wasn't the right thing to do. "Ah--erm, here!" He shoved the cobra gently towards Orpheus.
"I guess he needs a bath," Paxton tried to hide his embarrassment with an overly large smile. "Bye, bye Ter!" He didn't realize what he did until after it happened, but he leaned over and gave the cobra a quick peck on the top of his head. "...No more messy cake baths from me, I promise." The love bird then looked back at his dragon who was still standing timidly in the corner, "Gooooooldy come on, lets go."
