((PRP to have with Meeply <3)
The Kusini lands were flowing with life on the early mornings, the creatures appearing out to graze as well as others to hunt. With a cooling wind also licking the grasses, the lions all enjoyed the chance to be out and without the sun burning their pelts. One such lioness, dispite her form being larger than most, wandered around the outskirts of the pride in the effort to hunt. Wishing to quell her hunger as well as gain some energy for both herself and her future daughter, Tisha decided to go through the woods, and near the southlands.
And so she stalked, her form seeming to glow like the moon from within the shadows, her eyes trained on a small gazelle that had yet to see her in return. Not having the form nor the speed at the moment for a chase, Tisha relied on her stelth, hoping to catch the animal and get enough food to feed the two other cubs she had back at her den.
Yet, the goddess did not have her side as soon her paws snapped a twig. The sharp sound resinating throughout the southlands, she could only cringe as the creature perked its head, before turning its eyes right upon her. And with just a blink, she had lost her prey, and was forced to wait for another to wander by. There, sitting in the shadows of the forest, Tisha waited, for both and meal and for any events the day might hold.

Al-Hattal had been skirting the borders of the Kusini lands for days, pacing and indecisive with worry. His son was growing, and he was as much a thorn in his side as ever. The black lion couldn't stand being weighed down like this, Hauzu'l trailing behind him, needing to be cared for.
He was an okay kid, sure, but Al-Ha didn't want a kid. Hauzu should have been Aahiliki's to take care of, not his. Al-Hattal needed to be free, but now he was trapped and it was driving him crazy.
For weeks now it had been at the back of his mind that if he could just find someone else to take care of the kid, he could free again. And his son would even have a better life. It was the best thing for both of them.
He knew there was a pride here, a peaceful sort of one he'd heard of...and small, from what he could glean, unlike the ever-growing Pridelands pride.
The large lion strode through the woods, having left Hauzu'l at their edge, sound asleep with Zuri the snake.

It seemed to happen just by chance that Tisha would be wandering near where Al-Hattal and his son had journeyed. Though her hunt clearly was gone, the lioness did catch the scent of others, and her motherly instinct fell in. Moments passed while she padded lightly to where the scent was from, her form keen on movements dispite the added weight of her child.
She first caught sight of the slumbering lion, her eyes taking in his form as well as the form of his protector, a snake. Shaking her head at the thought, she realized that was not the only source of the scents, and she moved away from where the lion slept. While Hauzu was still outside of the pride's boundries, Al-Hattal was not, and therefore was the larger threat.
It took only a few minutes to catch the adult, and Tisha found herself at a loss from his size as well as his stature. Clearing her throat, she moved into the light and paused far enough to pose no threat.
"Can I be of some assistance, these woods are hard to travel through if you do not know the way..." Her voice was soft and warm, though her eyes kept on his form and her muscles tensed, just incase.

Turning to face the lioness, Al-Hattal dipped his head politely before raising his black eyes to her grey form. He mustered up his easy, charming smile, and spoke in his deep, pleasant voice, "Good morning, miss."
"Maybe you could help me." His tail gave one brief flick. "Are you from the pride that lives here?"

Her bi-colored eyes seemed to widen at his bow, and she just stalled a moment before finally relaxing her muscles. As he spoke up, her ear flickered slightly before she slowly nodded her head.
"The Kusini'Mwezi? Why yes, I am...are you looking for the entrance?" She knew how hard it was for wanderers to find the lands, which was the reason many of the pride members live there. The maze which was the woods protected their young from the threat of the outside world. This lion before her, though he clearly was a rogue, seemed to show no threat to the lands nor her, so she found herself relaxing in his presence.

"I am not," rumbled his answer as he looked into her strange eyes, unable to help being fascinated by their different colors. "I am, however," he broke his gaze from hers to look in the direction he'd left Hauzu'l, "Looking for a safe home for my son."
His phrasing was careful, thought out so that he would not seem an irresponsible or uncaring father. Al-Hattal wished not to incur any feminine wrath...pregnant feminine wrath, at that.

Tisha opened her mouth to reply, though smartly closed it as she thought over his words. Clearly he was a father of some sort of cub, possibly older, but the big question is why would he leave his son alone. The way he worded it, it almost sounded as if his journey was not a safe one, and that worried Tisha greatly.
"That we can easily provide. My name is Tisha, though I am a huntress of the pride, I have taken in a young cub who needed a safe home." She bowed her head before lifting it lightly, "If you would like, I could look after him in his youth until he is old enough to fend for himself, or any other member of our pride could." She simply offered it so early because it seemed as if the lion before her didn't want to go into details, and she didn't feel any need or right to pry.

"I would be greatly obliged," he replied, dipping his head in gratitude. "He's a good boy, I doubt he'd give you or anyone any trouble. He does have a snake who sticks by him, a friend of his mother's, but he's harmless enough."

Tisha's eyes widened lightly before she let out a soft laugh, "Why yes, I saw him sleeping near the entrance to the woods, a dashing young lion." She paused as she pondered over something, and nodded lightly, as if determining that she indeed would do it.
"There is a den next to mine, open for him to spend his time in and make it his home. Since he is older than the younger cub I took in, and he remembers you I am sure, I could just watch and make sure he is confotable than try and be a new mother. It would not be a bother at all, and I am sure he would make friends with my sons as well as the royalty in these lands. They are all around the same age." Waiting to see what the male would say, Tisha kept still and relaxed, a smile still settled on her maw.

"Isn't he?" Al-Ha agreed, pride finding its way unbidden into his posture. Dashing, just like his father.
"It sounds like it would be perfect. Thank you." The male's tail flicked behind him again. "It'll do him good to have friends. He's never had any but Zuri, with how we've wandered around."

The rogue life was always hard, and Tisha knew that personally. Not having a pride until she was an adult, she could only hope the son would stay as well, at least until he discovered a family of his own.
"Yes, you see, I have two sons, but the pride leaders have four cubs of their own, a son and three daughters. All are welcoming and would enjoy the company, and heavens knows this pride could use more members these days. It seems as if it is all family. Asi and Ari, the leaders, would fully accept your son with open arms." She paused a moment, before adding, "Do you wish to see him off here, or join me in returning to the inner lands?"

Three daughters, hmm? Yes, this would be a good place for Hauzu. Safety and friends and girls.
"Here would be best," he replied after a moment of thought, nodding. Keep it quick and clean, rather than drag it out.

Shifting her weight at his short reply, she just nodded herself and looked over her shoulder to where the boy had been left.
"Shall we go back to him than, and waken him?" It was a soft questioning, showing just how unsure Tisha was of this whole situation. She was fine with taking care of the juvenile as a favor, but being there when the father left was something she didn't know how to handle.

"I'll go and wake him," he said, "And say goodbye. I'll come back this way after, and you can go to him then." It would save them both a little awkwardness, perhaps.
As he turned towards where his son lay sleeping, he paused. "What's your name, miss?"

"Tisha..." She murmered again, not minding the repeat, and settled down on her haunches for a needed rest.
"I shall be waiting here, no need to rush, the rest is greatly needed in my state." Sendning him a smile again, she thought again for a moment, "Maybe one day we shall cross paths again..." She did not know his name, though she was sure that his son would tell her with time. Instead, she just kept her smile soft and serene and awaited for the young lion to return down the path.
