Here's where we can post our self portraits and comment on them or whatever. The only rule is that the self-portrait has to be done by yourself in traditional media. rolleyes Oh, and also try to not post more than 2 pictures in a single post, that tend to stretch out the page. Feel free to comment on each other's stuff. hmm...this doesn't really look like me, but i used my own photo as a reference so i guess this counts as self-portrait xd

It's a selfportrait to cheer myself up. I am happy with the result, and I think I will paint more often in this style, becous it gives me so much satisfaction. Medium: pencil, fineliner, acryllics. Time: a few hours, +- 4 I think...

Cute girls and great art! Sadly I'm going to break that by posting a very old selfportait made with oil pastels. It's support to be me oldfashioned. Click for big version. Feel free to comment/critique.

it's hard to critique your piece, chem, because of the angle of the photograph there's no way you can tell if the proportions are right if the image is skewed like that

Mine doesn't seem to fit in with the others that well, but it's still a self-portrait! This is a simple sketch I did in pen back when I was in high school. I did another one for a class in collage, but it was one of my first attempts with charcoal and I wasn't entirely pleased with the way it came out. Hasel, I can't see your picture! sad

not bad at all. you just need, perhaps, a little more instruction to push you along the right path, if there ever was one.

actually Athena, thats pretty good. you dont seem to have the usual problems i have (anatomy, symmetry, etc) which is definately a plus. with a litte refinement (taking it beyond sketch) it could be pretty awesome.
my self portraits--when i attempt them--never look like me...
