The Internet has certainly done amazing new things for Doctor Who, never dreamed of in the old days (Doctors 1 - 8, that is). In my humble opinion, the last place I would have thought to look for astonishingly clever DW interaction would probably have been the BBC itself. But I was wrong.
Assuming you've all been by to visit it, what do you think?

Its.Me.Pippin! meh I don't like it it's good for the newer series' but the old ones seem to have been looked over stare Considering most people can't see the old series I think it's entirely undrstandable they'd want to devote the majority of their time to the new stuff. They can't do everything now can they? I really like it, especially all those crazy made-up sites they keep coming up with xD

Some of them are more fun than others--this week's "Age of Steel" one you just seem to get four mouseover voices & a couple of sound effects. In general, including all the extra sites & games, it's pretty great, though.
I'm with Its.Me.Pippin!, though--even if they don't go crazy with the classic series section like they did the new series, I think they could still dress it up & have some fun with it. Promoting the classic series to the new viewers would help sell the DVDs, after all!

Eirwyn I wonder if Pirpi-Chan has seen all the Classic Series pictures they have at the Doctor Who Image Archive...? Wouldnt put it past her. But i agree. I'm suprised at how much effort they put into the site instead of being plain and boring like they have for every other show.

Its.Me.Pippin! meh I don't like it it's good for the newer series' but the old ones seem to have been looked over stare There's a link to follow for the original series. There you can see pictures (as has been pointed out already), but also plot synopses and episode reviews as taken from a couple of official books. Very handy when you're trying to figure out what order your Target novels should go in, given that the number on the spine bears no resemblance to broadcast order. I've spent more time in that section than the new one - I keep forgetting the Tardisodes. DW

It's nice, but really aggravating if you don't live in Britian. A lot of the special features are only accessable if your on the BBC network or something like that.

Its.Me.Pippin! meh I don't like it it's good for the newer series' but the old ones seem to have been looked over stare I agree, there isn't nearly enough on the previous Doctors, and a lot of first-time fans are unfamiliar with the Doctor before #9 and #10, though a few may have been introduced with Doctor #8 (and the regeneration of #7). The current BBC site is geared towards this group of fans. Still... It's a great site.
