While Rose was unpacking and repacking and fiddling around with magicks, Fern had decided to take their daughter up and away....to visit those two other parents she'd met before. They had said she could visit and...well, they didn't have a phone yet. They were without much awesome technology in the small cottage the two women owned.
Liusaidh was held comfortably in Ferns arms, little webbed fingers wrapped in the white hair of her caretaker. She was cooing under her breath, little garbles that hurt no one (so the woman hoped) , red hair tied up into two small pigtails attop her head.
She had not liked them being put on, thank you.
The half-dragon jigled the baby a bit to make her giggle, pace stepping up briefly as she neared the house. Golden eyes narroweda bit, studying the area for any - ANY - forms of life.

"Coming," bellowed a female voice, a few minutes before the door opened. Trio peered out at Fern, blowing one stray thatch of hair out of her eyes as she smiled. "Hello? Oh!" she added, as recognition dawned. "Hi! Um... Fern, right? Come in."

Shiromaru leaned out of the kitchen and into the living room, blinking at Fern, then smiled warmly when he saw the woman. "Welcome. We're just moving in, so the place is kind of messy... What brings you here?"

"Well..." Fern tapered off. There was NO good explination, was there? They hadn't been invited and...well... Damnit.
"My partner," That was the PC term for it, right?, "Decided that today was 'messs around with magick' day and since it creeps me out and Liu seemed antsy, we decided to visit! But if you're busy, we can just go off and do something out... I wouldn't want to bother you."

Trio snorted. "You're the perfect excuse for a break," she grinned widely, waving Fern in. "The girls are out back. Why don't we head out there, soak up some sun and chat?" she suggested.

"You want some iced tea?" Shiro added, holding up the glass he'd just made for himself. "We like company, you don't need a reason to show up. And Trio's right, you're the perfect excuse for a break!"

"Iced tea?" Fern hesitated, glancing down at the little girl in her hands (who gurgled, as babies were prone to) and then back up at the others with a faint smile. "Sure. Please. I like being an excuse for someone being able to relax."
Liusaidh wriggled a little in her mothers grasp, webbed fingertips moving to push her fingers into her mouth.

Trio nodded, pouring Fern a glass before reaching out to touch Liusaidh's cheek. "She's such a sweet little thing. How are things going at home?" she asked, half-wondering if she should call the girls in.

"Things are okay... Other then Rose deciding that she was randomly going to try and do stuff while sending us off into the wild..." Fern grinned a little, head shaking. "Liusaidh is becoming quieter...I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, though. How are you guys?"

Shiro took a sip of his own tea, then peered up curiously at Fern. "What stuff?" he echoed, brows raised.

"Rose is...magically inclined." She shrugged a little bit, fingers giving a slight wave. "Since we came here, she hasn't touched the stuff and today she decided would be a good time to practice. So we fled!"
Fern laughed, amusement in her voice.

Trio's patience gave out at that, and she held out her hands for the adorable baby. "Can I hold her?" she asked, grinning at the thought of fleeing. "I'm not sure I've ever had to do that. Flee, I mean."
