Staff Sargeant Paul Smith, the latest recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. He gave his life, defending his men from 150 Iraqi terrorists. he ran through enemy fire to reach a .50 cal machinegun mounted on a damaged APC. With that gun, he fended off the attack, but died in the fierce fighting. Let us honor such a sacrifice.

Army Staff Sgt. Christopher L. Robinson, KIA in Afghanistan while on patrol. He was the gunner on his humvee and small arms fire took him in the side and damaged his heart; he kept fighting untill he died, saving seven other men. He was a great man, and and the world is a lesser place without him. He will always be remembered.

Army 1LT Michael Cleary was KIA in Sammara, Iraq on December 20th, 2005. He was part of the US Army Corps of Engineers, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized): http://www.wnep.com/Global/story.asp?S=4301829&nav=menu158_1 I knew 1LT Clearly pretty well and we were good friends because we had both gone to OCS with each other. He was a great guy who was a lot of fun to be with. A guy filled with a great sense of humor and a can-do attitude that everyone admired. We had good times with each other as LT's at Ft. Benning. Rest In Peace, Mike1LT Noah Harris was KIA near Baquba, Iraq on June 24, 2005. US Army Infantry, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized): Noah was also a great guy who I'm happy that I was able to get to know. He had passion for his job and serving his country. I admire his courage. Rest In Peace, Noah

Lieutenant Commander Erik S. Kristensen, killed on June 28th, 2005 in Afghanistan. I have known Erik and his family since I was about ten. He was my hero from the moment I met him.
He is resting in the Annapolis Naval Academy cemetary. He was the most wonderful, amazing and brilliant person I've ever known.

Yesterday, two days ago, my squad leader's team leader was KIA in Fallujah, Iraq. I didn't actually witness it, but he mentioned it during some MOUT training a few weeks ago. Apparently they entered a room that was pitch black, and they turned on their flashlights only to recieve instant AK-47 fire. His team leader was killed by 12 bullets.
Then only a Lcpl that had been in for less than a year, he had to take over a fireteam.
