Er, well... it's a couple of things.
S
H - Stands for a short-hop. It's a small jump by lightly tapping the jump button (or control stick ^ ) If done right, you'll jump, but not as high as usual.
F
F- Stands for a fast fall. Press down on the control stick after a jump and you'll drop faster than normal.
L - Is an L-cancel. It means cancelling your attacks by hitting the L button as soon as you reach the ground. It'll cut down the landing animation and allow you to recover faster. To see it done, practice by doing Link's Aerial down A and hitting 'L' just when the sword hits the ground. If done correctly, it'll take much less time for Link to pull his sword out.
A SHFFL is all of the above combined in one motion. =P

btw, you can also use R to L cancel, just in case you didn't know.
