Haruki Emishi (笑師春樹 Emishi Haruki; Seiyu: Mitsuaki Madono) - One of the followers of Volts in Infinity Fortress. He was known as the "Bloody Joker" (鮮血の道化師) because he is always trying to make jokes to amuse other people (many times unsuccessfully). Also, his skills in combat mean that he is often covered in the blood of his enemies after battles. (In fact, Fuyuki Shido once commented that if his will becomes stronger, his might is actually on par with the 4 Kings of VOLTS.) Emishi's weapon is a long whip woven from the hair of the women of his people, which he handles very well. He went under the rule of Makubex after VOLTS broke up and fought the retrievers of IL in the Infinity Fortress. He is the only living male descendant left from the ancient Western Chinese desert kingdom of Loulan (Rouran). He is also an admirer and good friend of Shido.
Personality: Emishi loves to laugh and have fun. A lot of the time he'll do truly goofy things in an attempt to make other people laugh, and while his jokes aren't always terribly funny, his efforts are usually appreciated. For all his seeming light-heartedness, Emishi is extremely protective of his friends and hates arguing with them. He earned the nickname "Man who Smiles in the Spray of Blood" by doing exactly that -- grinning even when he killed, or when he was being beaten.
Descendent of the Rouran people; one of MAKUBEX's aides, the New Four Kings. He's getting tired of fighting, and really wants to help MAKUBEX find peace for Mugenjou so that he'll be free to do what he really wants to do... become a comedian. Emishi is a master of the Rouran Butouben -- the Rouran Dancing Whip style. His whip is made from the hair of women from the Rouran clan, woven together to form a braid as strong and flexible as a dragon's whisker.
Mr. Haruki is not your ordinary comedian with pink/blue sunglasses and a ponytail. Don't let his innocent face fool you; behind those sunglasses are eyes that have witnessed battles of many kinds, that have witnessed bloodshed and pain. Emishi is the only fighter left of the Roran clan, and proudly he swings his weapon, the Dancing Whip of Rouran.
What?, you might think. Does he only use a whip? How lame! However, before you make a judgement, let me share something with you: Emishi's fight dance is not to underestimate. The whip moves in high speed, but not with less grace, to his every movement, mostly striking the opponent forcefully. The Rouran men were skillful fighters, and that is an ability that Emishi carries with him. The whip moves in the dance of death to the rythm of Emishi's hands.
The whip is, according to Emishi himself, made of the hair of the Rouran women. Their hair was called Dragon Hair, this because of its strength and flexibility, much alike a dragon's, thus making a dangerous weapon.
Emishi does not remain a bad guy throughout Get Backers. In a duel with Shido Fuyuki, he realizes that he stands no chance against him, and thus he tries to end his own life after nearly succeeding making his opponent fall in battle. However, this Joker did not laugh his last laugh; Shido saves him in the last moment and brings him to a pharmacist.
During Get Backers, Emishi does show a softer side of himself, much to my surprise (and I sure did not mind, mwehehe). While my fascination for him grew more and more for each time he was present in the series, his behaviour got more and more hilarious. To make a long story short: Emishi is a truly adorable young man with a little touch of death in the corner of his eye.

Emishi is one of my favorite GB characters. He's very funny characters but also strong I like his style of fighting he uses whip. a whip from his clan rouran. emishi maybe always joking at times but he very strong same level as the Four Kings of the VOLTS.

Emishi's fighting technique and style is unique. he uses whip. He is strong as strong as the VOLTS four kings Infact it has shido who said that.

what I like the most with Emishi is his wacky character one of the most funniest guys in GB. It's really funny when he playes with shido's pets te lions and dolphins. His fighting style yes it's unique. the rouran dancing whip. I like the move he does when he catch the opponent and spin them airborn. he maybe a wacky guy but he can be dangerous.

Emishi is a comedy act but once he gets serious in fighting he's very dangerous. I remember during the venus de milo arc Emishi is playing with Shido's dolphin that was funny. And that attack with rounan dancing whip it's an very strong basic attack of rounan dancing whip.

Kagami Kyoji Haruki Emishi the last decendant of the Rouran Clan. I always like this guy he's the defination of action and comedy. and His glasses are cool. Yes... Emishi is the only male decendant of Rouran clan. Emishi is usually a comedy act. Yep he's blue/pink glass are cool.

I remember the first time Ban meets Emishi he got evil eye. Yep, *dances* Emishi tried to dodge the evil eye by using his own glass but Ban got him before Emishi even knew.
