Horrid skin problems this one has, horrid. Basically, since last year, acne problems on a major scale. Slight acne on my forehead, lot on my back, bit on my upper legs. Some sort of rash on my cheeks, but that's nothing new, has been that way since I was a kid... For it I've already tried most things under the sun... I have oily skin, oily hair, that like, it's not my fault. I didn't ask God to be this way! But anyway, how would one go about achieving clear skin? I know people say drink a lot of water, and I know I drink a lot of soda, and no water, is that bad? And what about water temperatures when bathing and showering? I know I take really hot showers, is that bad?

hm, i have oily skin and oily hair, so i mite be able to help... no as for drinking water, don't drink as many sodas, because it really does effect your skin. try limiting it to 1 soda a day, and then 1 soda a week, and try to keep it at that.
And for the showers? no, it doesn't matter, but right after you wash your face in the shower, try to turn the water to slightly cold so it helps to cool down your face.
And for the zits on your back... it best to use one of those scrubbers on the stick thing, and use regular soap to just scrub your back.
Now, for clearer skin, you might want to try washing your face 3 times a day. in the morning, sometime in the afternoon, and at night. just use a normal facetowel, wet it with mediumish water and just wash your face with that. You could also use the nuetragena (however you spell that) cleansing pads, the blackheads one and one for acne treatment. After that, use a bar of soap to help soften your skin. I recomend using dove, because it doesn't dry out your skin or make it too oily.
I hope that helped!
thank u kindly, tis cat~

Thank you. I'm following your advice and limiting myself to one soda/day and washing my face currently 2 times a day (working for 3, yesterday was my last real day of school so it should be easy to get the third time now)

Yeah my skin has gotten a lot worse this year. I have no idea what to do either... somedays I just hate my skin so much that I stay home from school.
I can't wait for my body to just chill out and stop making so much extra junk.

Hey, you're not alone. I have the exact same problem. The best thing for you is to visit a dermatologist [is that how it's spelled? gonk ] because he/she will know the treatment that will help you the most. Avoid taking pills, but a good face cream should do the trick. Just don't use Pro-Active. When I tried it, the acne went away but as soon as I stopped using it the zits came back.

Britney has spots, yes she does, so the rest of us have nothing to be ashamed of.
Just a tip - even if washing your face is propably the only cure (that works for me anyway) DO NOT do it for more than once a day with soap. Otherwise, if you feel that you have to wash, use water. If you wash your skin like crazy it will dry and the problem will just become alot bigger.

My face can get really oily, but I don't break out with acne that bad. Just in the morning, when I take a shower, I make sure to wash my face. Then before I go to bed, I use an astringent on a cotton ball on my face. Also as someone else, I believe, suggested. Use a loofa on your back to help clean your back and help get rid of that acne.

Well, Although it isnt always the best bet. Keeping away from the sun can help.. XD
As well, I've heard that proactive helps rather well. Maybe that would heklp you O.o? I myself dont have horrid acne.. But just enough to annoy me from time to time. I'd say try different cleaning solutions. ^-^
~ UI apologize if that didnt help at all... sweatdrop gonk

Oh man, I have bad blackhead problems so I know how it is. Taking hot showers can actually be a good thing. When you take the hot shower you wash your face and you can use a loofah or special facial sponge to scrub away dead skin. When you're done you can either hit your face with some cold water or take an ice cube and run it over your skin so it helps to close the poors. There's also special soap you can get and use obviously just for your skin and acne. You can do this possibly once a day and then just wash it later at night. It really helps to cut down on oily skin and it keaps your skin nice and smooth. I would just wash my face in the morning and at night since to much washing is also a bad thing. On your back just use a loofah, like everybody's been saying, when you take a shower/bath. If it's really bad you could always ask your doctor for medication to control it. They know you and should be able to easily prescribe you something.

I have a little bit of the same problem, but I have it somewhatt under control. I would suggest:
arrow First wash your face with warm water, then rinse the soap off with cold water. I know cold water is suppopsed to close your pores...
arrow Put acne medication on it when you go to sleep. Then, wash your face and put some on when you wake up. I always hate how it makes my face shiney, but I found some clean and clear (I think...) stuff that's basically a tinted actne cream, so it sort-or hids redness and doesn't make your face shiney,
