I just found out I can do 6. 5-11... I'm happy, because this is only my second year on guitar. So how far can y'all reach?

i always counted from the first fret. i can reach to six. but from the 5th, i can reach to 12. i have wide hands though.

Youve also got to take into account the scale of your guitar. Gibson scaled guitars will allow you to reach about a fret farther.
On my Tele I can reach from 5 to 11 and still play fairly fluidly. I can hit 12 if i really stretch.

From 1st fret, 1 - 5 is comfortable, I can make 1 - 6 but it's a bit much of a stretch. From 5th fret, 5 - 12 is comfortable and I can also make 5 - 13 with extra effort but I can't really play well like that.

Yeah thats a Gibson-scaled guitar. Definately easier to stretch on those. Would be nice to have something like that. Fender scale gets to you afte a while.

I can make a stretch of 1st to 5th with a little effort and 1st to 6th if I stretch it but I can't play that well in that position, its a Squire Affinity Strat (25.5 scale).

i can reach to the 6th fret from the 1st. im right at the bar of the 7th fret though. i can hit the 7th if i use my other hand to stretch it

On my Samick Floyd Rose i can hit about 1-6 5-12/13 it also depends how your playing, if you lengthen your strap dramatically and play a style similar to fieldy with his bass night next to his head, youll increase your reach a fair bit

1-5 with my index on 1 and middle on 5.
