Where Wolf's Rain Reigns Imperial Salvation's self-proclaimedly-official Wolf's Rain Thread
okay. i hope nobody minds another topic being posted in the East Wing, but i recently bought the two volumes of Wolf's Rain. it was incredible, and dramatic. i really liked it, partially just because i love wolves, and flower-maidens, but the plot was excellent, so i'd say that that is my main reason.
at any rate, i think this is a manga worth discussion, so i have decided to create this thread to discuss Wolf's Rain. comments on the story are also accepted, or whatever, i'm a fairly open person, so this'll just be a wolfs rain thread rather than specifically a wolfs rain discussion.
furthermore, I'd appreciate if posters have read the manga, because that's all i've seen or read of it, so i might get confuzed on points about the anime, but if you've only seen/read the anime, then i should be fine. it is just a matter of preference, and i wish not restrict the thread.

P90 I saw one show of it...it was sort of weird... you kinda need to see all of it for it to be particularly good, or at least most.

[D]alia whats it about? whats the story line? A bunch of wolves (who can sometimes look like humans) who are searching for paradise in a world that hates them...ok, not my best summary ever. But I LOVE wolf's rain! Toboe is my favorite, followed closely by Kiba and Tsume. I like them all though. The last episode made me cry!

Basic Plot Summary in a post-apocalyptic future where wolves are thought to be extinct, there is a main character named Kiba (he is a wolf, all wolves can disguise themselves as humans, though. this is why it is never figured out that a few still remain). he goes to a northern city following the scent of the "Lunar Flower," because his instinct keeps telling him to follow the Lunar Flower who shall lead him to "Paradise." Paradise is a mysterious place, that could be philosophically and/or theologically argued about to be philosophically and/or theologically significant. i don't wanna spoil too much of the story, so i'll just stop there, to let you read this awesome two-volume series, which may or may not be available at your local bookstore and/or library. for the record, however, it includes incorperations of an "old fairy-tale," scientists (studying both the wolves and the flower), a crazed wolf-hater, who's trying to extinct the species, once he finds that there are still a few alive. the fact that he has a pet dog who is the last remnants of his family, and he loves very dearly makes him more human. it has a rather mysterious end. and a guy with tripped out hair who reminds the writer/artist crew of Gackt.

Wolf's Rain is very good. 3nodding
I have the manga, of which I should reread. (Only two volumes, it is.) I also have some of the anime, I think up to volume 5 if not 6. Volume 7 is the last one, correct?
I can't say I care for the ending much but I haven't really watched every episode. When Adult Swim aired it, I would occasionally miss a few episodes so... Heh heh.
As for favorite characters, I'd say Kiba and... Toboe. Tsume. ...Hige. Blue's cool, too. xD; I seem to be having trouble deciding. I can't say I like Cheza much. I can't figure out why. Sometimes I get like that, especially (if not only) with female characters.
