Cirrus was walking across campus. She hadn't been out of the room in a long time it seemed. The fresh air felt good and the soft breeze was toying with her long blond hair. Things seemed to have settled between her and Kayne where Jess was concerned. She still didn't like that he had practices with her, but at least they weren't almost every night. Hearing the barking of a dog, Cirrus looked up and noticed a tall, silver haired boy with a beautiful black and white husky ambling around his feet. Smiling, she couldn't resist. She loved dogs. Slowly she walked up to the pair and gave the boy a bright smile.
"He's gorgeous. May I pet him?" she asked.

Thanatos was standing idly by his hands in his pocket simply enjoying the crisp air. A few students came by wanting to pet Atreyu but he barked them off which was just the same, he wasn't in a very good mood this day. He vaguely heard the girl as he turned his attention toward her. He shrugged not caring in the least, "You should ask him." he said simply turning to the sound of girls giggling. A darkness came over him as he made note to sniff them out later.
Growing a bit tired of standing around he moved off toward some shade sitting under a tree. Plucking at the grass he slipped the blade into his mouth while Atreyu sniffed at the girl's hand and barked softly before bounding in circles around her. Nato shrugged, he supposed the dog would want to play...she can do that for him, he figured.

Cirrus noticed the way the boy turned to her, but did not look at her and raised an eyebrow. At his words she knelt down next to the dog and held her hand out to him. When he licked her palm she smiled brightly and giggled lightly when he started bounding around her.
"Aren't you so handsome," she laughed at him, reaching out and trying to catch him so she could pet him. She could tell he thought it was a game, so she rose to her feet and chased him around a bit, until she couldn't stop laughing at the dog's silly antics. He was almost human, she thought. Crouching down near his owner to show that she gave up, she reached out her hand to him to pet him.
"What's his name?" she asked, turning her head towards the boy.

Nato couldn't see the two but he had an eye of a different kind and could sense they were having fun. When he felt the presence of the girl next to him he shifted a little, rasing on leg off the ground to rest his arm on his knee. He leaned back against the tree's trunk letting his silver hair hide one blank eye from view. He was not in a talkative mood and could tell this girl would possibly prode him for information.
"Atreyu." he spoke sighing a bit. The blade of grass in his mouth twitched at his chewing. He didn't even spare the girl a side long glance, not that it would do him any good to begin with.

"Atreyu," Cirrus smiled as she gave the dog a good rub down. "Perfect," she smiled and looked over at the boy. She noted his sulleness and remained quiet for a few moments as she ran her fingers through Atreyu's soft fur.
"How long have you had Atreyu?" she asked, tossing her hair over her shoulder so she could get a better view of him. She wondered what could possibly be bothering him on such a fine day.

He continued to look away from her, allowing himself to brush his hair from his face showing his features better. With a snort he shrugged. "I had him my whole life." He said more or less, but that wasn't really important.
Atreyu snorted not liking his masters sullen nature and went to jump on him pushing Thanatos to the ground. "Ack.. unhand me mutt, I'm not in the mood." He shouted but Atreyu wouldn't let up and proceeded to pull on Nato's collar. "If you tear one thread on my clothing I'll make you pay for it with your own fur mutt." He mockingly sneered.
The dog could sense the hint of playfulness and pulled more. At that Nato jumped up tackling the dog and they were soon wrestling. To the girl it would look almost dangerous as the dog did bite his master rather hard. But they were used to this kind of rough play. After a while the two slowed down and Nato had Atreyu in a head lock. "Now say uncle or I'll snap your neck off." the dog barked as if to answer and Nato let up to which Atreyu lay in his masters lap tired. Nato resituated himself against the tree a little less sullen but still not in the mood to do much talking. He favored the girl with his blank eyes brushing his messed hair from his face.

Cirrus watched the two play with great amusment. They understood each other so well, she thought. She hooked her arms around her knees as the boy plopped down next to her and the dog collapsed in his lap, panting. As she reached out to scratch Atreyu behind the ears, Cirrus noticed the way his eyes looked at her, but did not see her.
"Is he your eyes?" she asked, looking down at Atreyu.

Thanatos shifted a bit uncomfortbly but Atreyu remained growling a bit. He snorted at the dog running his hand through his hair. "I suppose he is in a way, though I've managed on my own just fine." He said and pet the dogs fur absently.
And wouldn't you know it the dog would pick up on the sound of ducks on the horrizion and without much of a warning on his part, the mutt ran off after them. "Atreyu!" Thanatos called out but the dog wasn't listening. "Damn mutt..." he sighed getting to his feet and dusting off a bit. He could feel some grass and grim in his hair and flipped his head a over to ruffle his silver hair before tossing it back over his shoulder with a feminine gesture. "I suppose I better get after him, if I'm lucky we may have duck for dinner tonight." Nato commented and stuffed his hands in his pocket heading off in the direction he last heard the dog.

Cirrus watched the boy take off after Atreyu and pushed herself up off the ground as well. She should probably help him, she thought, and chased after him.
"So he's a hunter then?" she asked in reference to having duck for dinner.

Nato nodded, "Atreyu is the hunter...Pantera would be my eyes." He said softly. He stopped short holding his arm out to stop the girl from walking. Turning slightly he bent down to lift the girl on his shoulder just as a brown husky came bounding at them barking wildly. Sighing Nato made a pointing gesture. "She would be Pantera, my eyes... and she doesn't like females around me much. Just stay put she'll calm in a minute." He said matter of factly as they continued on.
He put his other hand in his pocket heading for Atreyu as Pantera stood at their side growling up at Cirruis being perched on Nato's shoulder.

Cirrus was surprised to find herself swept up off the ground to be held up a good safe distance from the incoming dog. She reached around and slipped her arm around his head to rest lightly on his shoulder.
"I can see that," she said, watching the dog warily. "It's really cool that you got to bring your dogs with you. Do they actually live in the dorms with you?"

He shrugged nudging at Pantera to silence her barking. "I have to get them certified as seeing eye dogs. Until then they're not really offically supposed to be here." He said and finally made it to Atreyu. "Mutt get over here, must you be so annoying. Leave the duck alone..." He glared, waiting for the dog to stop his current chase. He grew bored after a moment and came over looking up to Cirrius and barking at Pantera.
She silenced and Nato used that moment to sit the girl down. "You're safe, Atreyu has a hold on her." he informed and stood there letting the breeze blow through his hair. He grumbled a bit folding his arms over his chest. "What activities go down around her? I've been in the frame of mind to think there is absolutely nothing here...no activities, clubs or anything of the sort?" Well that's what one would think when your stuck in your room screwing your roommate all day. He sighed at that stray thought.

Cirrus, though thankful for not having been favored with Pantera's ill affections towards females, was glad to have her feet back on the ground. Only her brother had ever picked her up like that before. Kade had picked her up, but for different reasons, she thought with a smile.
"There are tons of clubs here," she smiled up at him. "My brother actually happens to be the captain of the archery club. And let's see... there's art, literature, fencing, sports, science, and I've heard there's even an astrology club," she said, thinking back to the list that had been handed to them when they first arrived to Aquila. "There's probably more, but I can' remember them right now."

Nato arched an interested brow at fencing and archery. "Hmm... fencing is it? I'll have to look into that; I'm quite curious to see the competition." He said and lifted his hand in fashion of holding a raiper. He made a swift guester showing that he knew how to handle a blade but stopped short and stuffed his hands back in his pocket. "I must have missed orientation I did not get a pamphlet. No matter I'll just get one at a later time.."
The sound of growling and barking came off to the side, Pantera and Atreyu at it agian. Probably bickering over something stupid he ignored them moving a little ways away to keep the noise to a minum. He allowed himself to be a bit chatty as he asked a few more questions, "What clubs do you fancy?"

Cirrus's eyes shadowed at the thought of her club. It was one that Jess was in charge of and she had enjoyed it, though she doubted she'd be participating again.
"I've only been a part of the Lit Club. The others really didn't tickle my fancy," she shrugged watching the dogs out of the corner of her eye.
"Are they alright?" she asked him.
