History:
Her mother was a white child who got lost in the plains, and found by a Lakota warrior. He married her when she became a woman, and Natane was the child she bore before passing on three years later in an attempt to give her husband a son. Her father died in a hunt not soon after his wife, leaving the girl-child alone. The warriors said he threw himself onto the horns of the sacred white buffalo- but there was nothing to explain the hole in her father?s back that looked like an arrow wound. For the child left behind, there was nothing. She was raised on the outskirts of the tribe, keeping nothing as her own. She learned to hunt to feed herself, and to make her own teepee, and what plants to pick for food. She learned to tan her own hides, and do everything for herself. Unfortunately, her cooking was sub-par and she found herself more often than not taking meat to some of the women with no men to hunt for them, in exchange for a well-cooked meal.
When Natane reached maturity, she changed her name by saying that she had been granted a vision by Ptesan Wi, that her name was to be Citlalli. This was not true, but she felt she had no choice. She left her tribe, and wandered over the plains, hunting just enough to live. She was on foot, and carried nothing with her but a pair of spare clothing, and her bow. And then she stumbled upon a strange tribe. Where the horses, beasts of burden to her people, were respected as family. And so she stayed, curious about this tribe. Eventually she was going to leave, and that was when she found Tehya, in her basket. And stayed even longer. Which is where she is now.
Personality:
Citlalli is a very energetic female, who prefers to live as a man than a woman. Romance is well and good, but she will not be the one wooed, she will do the wooing of the man she chooses, thank you. She is stubborn, and determined to make something of herself in this world. And she is clingy- she will not be left alone again. If you befriend her, you?d best be looking for a friend for life, because you have one, loyal to the point of stupidity.
Appearance:
Citlalli has flame red hair that tumbles down to mid-back, which she usually keeps pulled back from her face, but leaves free to fall down her back. Her eyes are a vibrant green, and her skin is a dark tan rarely found in a person with red hair. Her face is delicate, and she is very small-boned. She is tall and slender, almost to the point of looking like a young boy when you see her dressed. She dresses like a warrior, in buckskin breeches and top, but decorates her hair with beads, multiple braids, and feathers. She wears very little jewelry other than the beads and feathers in her hair, which really is her one concession to vanity other than the occasional black paint around her eyes.
Soquili:
* Tehya- A small filly that was found floating in a basket. Apparently, she thought it would be fun to go for a swim. But no one knows for sure.
* Selene- A filly found in a basket on the edge of the woods. No one knows who her parents are, or how she came to be, but her beauty is undeniable.
