Fussing over her jacket, Mew was at this time completely dressed in white, something she hardly did, since she normally whore jeans. But at this particular time they had been out all day long shopping, and were now walking on the beachside. Sahra and Ephrem had wanted to go to the beachside playground, which wasn't far out of their way. "Were not staying that long." Mew said firmly, eyeing the gorgeous sunset that light up their surroundings.
"Oh fine Ma!" The cheetah called back, quickly racing ahead with her partner and best friend, Ephrem. "Come on Re, race ya there!" Giggling madly, she sprinted forward, quickly being followed by the dirt coloured dragon. Sahra had wanted to show Ephrem what a park was ever since the first time she had seen one in the distance. The truth being she never really got a chance to play at one, her playground being mostly only the treetops and rock ledges.
The sun would be completely down with in the next hour or two, and that Mew could sit upon her bench she had now found and situated herself upon for a decent amount of time with out having to bother the pair. Although feeling a slight twist of pain in her side, the mixed breed woman flicked her feline-canine tail as she stroked an albino cobra that was wrapped around her right arm under her baggy sweatshirt.
"Okay, okay." The cheetah shouted gleefully, pointing towards a jungle gym only a few yards off, "Wee-we should gg-go play thar." Huffing from a lack of breath, the feline plopped against a pole that belonged to a set of swings to allow herself a short rest. Re took the opportunity happily, shoving himself up against Sahra, and leaning heavily against her.
Cheek pressed up against the cool bar, Sah stared into the fiery sunset that was glowing all through out the skies. "It's beautiful, isnt it Re?" She whispered randomly, stroking the side of his neck, as he liked it.

After several minutes had passed by, maybe even more, since she really had no way of keeping track. The cheetah was dazed as she stroked her Re, the dragon locking himself into a comfortable position, demanding to be given attention, and not allowing the spotted feline to move. "Re." Sahra said in a sing song voice, "We're here to run around, not to sit around!" Giggling slightly, she poked at the scaly creature, changing her position to a more upright one, she hadn't really noticed the girl, well, that was until it was to late.
"Ack!" Falling backward, feeling a slight amount of pain rush through her leg, something had tripped over her! But what? You would think she would know, since it was her that the thing tripped over, but truth be told, her eyes where tightly shut due to some sand that had been whipped up into her face. "Uh..." Rubbing her eyes, attempting to free all of the minerals from her facial features, Sahra peered at this new 'thing.'
"Um, hey? Are you alright?" Before her she looked about a girl that was quite a bit younger than she, but oddly was spotted and coloured quite similar to herself. "Well, I hope you are." She nodded, "But wow, it's not every day you get tripped over!" Grinning, the cheetah shot to her feet and backed off a bit, Ephrem following her automatically.
Watching intently from a distance, Mew observed the somewhat odd event that was slowly unfolding. How intriguing; she wondered how things would turn out? Well, that really wasn't her business, but she couldn't help but be curious. "Seems like a nice crash landing." Mew said in a hushed tone, stroking the albino cobra at her side, "At least neither of them seem hurt, at least not badly."

Seeing the shocked expression of the girl, Sahra automatically assumed the girl had been to caught up in her thoughts to see where she was going, something the cheetah often found herself doing. "Oh, no, no, it's fine." She said with a smile, "I do it quite often when I'm not running." It was true, when ever she walked she tended to daze out, and never paid any attention to where she was going.
Taking a moment to look the girl over, she noted that she was younger, quite a bit younger, and a feline of sorts, or maybe even a type of wolf, but did either have such short tails? Maybe she was a gopher? "Ah, well, hi then Lucia. My names Sahra, and that's Ephrem." The cheetah pointed to the dragon, who quickly back away from the girl in disgust, letting off a grunt-growl.
"But he doesn't exactly like people to much. And unlike most, his bite is worse than his bark." Swatting at the lindworm with out touching him, she pulled herself up onto her knees, eyes studying the area as she did so. "So, you want to swing or something?" The cheetah asked curiously with a bright grin.

Simply nodding, Sahra watched the little girl with amusement and interest, quickly deciphering what she meant. "Oh, that thing? She almost asked, pointing at a skeleton of types she knew only to be a play place of some sorts. "Okay then." Hoping upward, she wasn't in any hurry to get anywhere, so the girl simply beat her by a long run. How impressive.
Stopping at the side of the rope contraption, the cheetah looked up at the being, mind floating back to the subject she had thought about before; what was she? "Um," The feline began, wrapping her fingers around one of the many lines of rope, "May I ask you something?" After gripping another line of rope with her clawed toes, not waiting for an answer as usual, she asked yet another question, "What are you exactly? A wolf, a cat, or a gopher?"
Ephrem had decided to wander off a ways on his own, exploring a metal structure with a maze of bars all over the place. Twisting around the cool bars, he decided that this place wasn't so bad after all; they'd have to come here more often.

Pondering the girls words for a minute or two, but what seemed like hours, she quickly snapped out of her daze, realizing she was swinging back and forth. "Woah." Stepping off of the rope and onto the ground, the cheetah didn't like the feeling of having no feet on the ground, but assumed she would be able to get used to it sometime. "Um." Looking for another way up, she spotted a simple latter, and speed over in front of it, preparing herself to climb.
So she'd prefer going up the easy way, so what? She wasn't made to climb, she was made to run! "Okay, here we go." Sahra mumbled, speeding up to the top of the structure, slinking off to a corner to sit.
"Um, really? A big cat?" Knowing matter-of-factly that she herself was a 'big cat,' she simply couldn't imagine this girl being a cat. But why? She didn't know, but it probably had something to do with the fact her tail was so short. In all her time all the felines she had ever known had had long tails, and with some even as long as their body! Like her Ma, and one of her other friends. "Hm. Are you sure you're not a gopher? Or a Prairie Dog?" Yes, yes that one might work!
"Indeed he is." Turning around to peer through the wooden side of the heightened play area, Sah grinned, loving the sight of her partner enjoying this new, foreign place. "Good."

"Hm, I don't know." She mumbled aloud, mind wandering quickly off of the subject. Mewing in response to herself, she moved into a new position; sitting on the backs of her legs, she peered down over the play area to the ground. Wow, it was a decent way up, but not nearly as high as a lot of the trees she was able to climb on in her forest! "Hey, how high do you think we could get if we climbed one of the surrounding trees?" It was a rather curious question, one she'd enjoy answering.
Ephrem could see even from that distance that his partner was thinking up some trouble. Maybe she'd get herself stuck in between two rocks again? Or caught up on a tree branch? Or stuck in some really sticky mud? Who knew, only the accident prone cheetah did. Well, even then, even she didn't, really. "Hurm? No." He mumbled to himself; he really didn't want to go on any way-to-wild adventures today.
