well if they hate it, you cant force them to like it. it should be okay as long as they dont hate you for likeing it

Hah, I've been there! I have I heart Yaoi and I heart Yuri T-shirts, and they're in japanese, so when someone asks me "What does your shirt say?" I say, "I heart Yaoi/Yuri" And they say "WHat is yaoi/yuri?" And I say "Boy on Boy/ Girl on Girl" AND THEN they go ">______< EEEEEEEEEW!" -And call me a pervert! The nerve of them!

Drunken Chibi Wolfwood the only homophobes in my school are the ones who come from the south sweatdrop I'm in a very liberal place. My mayor even gave out licences. I mean, most of my TEACHERS are G/B/L. But my friends hate that I like Yari!

I dont know, Im lucky as it was actually my friends that got me into yaoi and yuri, but then I do live in Brighton (gay capital of the UK), so people tend to tolerent-ish. Not everyone, of course, but generally once boys realise I can draw naked manga girls they forget all about my interest in naked manga guys....

well i think some of my friends have to be even worse. they love anime and several of them love yuri. but when it goes to hentai they think its the nasiest thing ever made, oh and they think yaoi is even worse. god i hate that about my friends....

Heh, my friends definatly don't have a thing against yaoi or yuri...
I kinda introduced my best female friend to it, and it seems that she like yaoi as well (with yuri, only the cute stuff XD).
I also recently discovered my best male friend reads slash and yaoi xd
As long as your friends aren't going to treat you different because you like yaoi and yuri, then there isn't much of a problem, right?

Foxy Majeh well i think some of my friends have to be even worse. they love anime and several of them love yuri. but when it goes to hentai they think its the nasiest thing ever made, oh and they think yaoi is even worse. god i hate that about my friends.... hmmm- hentai- yeah i think i must agree with your friends. Is it odd to be developing a problem with straight relationships in manga? I used to love Bikky and Carol in Fake, but they just annoy me now!

Oooh- what about what your family think? Do they even know? Mine dont, I assume, but I dont think my mum would mind too much ,thyough Im sure my brothers would think the yaoi very wrong indeed- rrrrrrr......
