Well, I thought that after all the commotion during Easter, it would be good to have a safe house in place well before the actual event. I've got the smoothie bar set up in the basement, and I'm going outside now to start filling up some sandbags. ninja

ya know what's really sad? the first thing I thought when I read the announcement was "OMG! this means more special event items! I have to go so I can get some!" xd

gazie where do you go to go to the event? Vo has a post in the Announcements Forum -- Later this evening, Gambino's mansion will open up again, and we can discuss things there. As for the actual event, it's still a mystery. I have a feeling it'll be in the big empty field west of Barton Town. ninja

my train of thought was:
-that 9pm for me.. okay.. thats not to late, I'll be home around then.
-hey cool, stuff.
- Saturday at 8? That's aroun ele-- No! I'm not home on Saturday!! I'm gone the whole day!! dammit!!!!!!!!
-wait, I'll be near an internet cafe.. I'll just log there a few times..
-yes.. all be alri-- Who the hell do I want to cheer for? I hate all the NPCs! [Except Gambino and Edmund.]

whew! all the wackiness and sorta-functionality has me all panicky. I'm going to "hide" in here for a while...although I might have to go AFK for a few hours tonight while my husband uses the computer to play everquest...tonight of all nights has to be the one night in the next month that he doesn't have to work late.

Just to clarify, my previous mad raving was inspired by the fact that Gaia was offline all afternoon, and when I checked back in time for opening of the Mansion, my favorites don't work, Barton Town is gone, and there's something called "Durem Reclamation Facility" in my "Teleporter list" sad I don't want to be reclaimed...Screencap here.

*wanders in* All three new areas seem to be for fishing. Which is a good thing... but think of all the fish! ^^; If there really are going to be a hundred fish, we might need to set up a separate area for listing their prices just to keep the current price list from becoming too long.
O.o;;; And all those fish will nearly double the amount of items to watch prices on, since they are supposed to be tradable.
The Olympics should be fun, I think. Users seem to be getting more used to surviving the forum-wide parties with prizes. ^.^ I know that I was actually able to find a place to have real conversations during the Easter scramble. With any luck, the Gaia Olympics will turn out even better.

Edit: *sees a picture of the new Gambino on the Gaia news and almost drowns in her smoothie* Since when did he become an admin?
