I have never played Xenogears and after completing Xenosaga I and Xenosaga II, I'm wondering, is there a lot of information that one would obtain from Xenogears in relation to Xenosaga?

Hmmm...ok. I was actually kind of wondering about Abel/Abel's ark because I know that there was something about it in Xenogears too.

well actually, Xenosaga's character Designs are very similar to the ones in Xenogears! The main Char. in Xenogears is Fei Fong Wong. He looks similar to a kid in Xenosaga, who (Spoiler, just in case) is playing with blocks at the end of episode 1 Elheim Van Houten looks similar to Nephelim in Xenosaga episode 1! And a char. Theres more but I can't remember now... just woke up!

Not much can be taken from Xenogears because it is Episode 5 in the series (if you waited until after the credits, that's what it's called). So these Saga games are prequels, which are supposedly meant to explain Xenogears.
It hasn't.

I heared that Xenogears was a later story to Xenosaga but I also heared they are not part of the same universe. I heared that the creator of Xenogears made Xenosaga and just re-used some of the same names. There is a lot of terms used. We might see in the future, specially if the do a remake of Xenogears, which I would like.
I just got done playing Xenogears a while back, and Abel's ark I think was the spaceship they found.

It hasn't. the Episode isn't actually the Episode in the series. i was confused by that, didn't really care either but i found what it really was on a few sites. bah. I can't remember where but I know something was called Able's Ark.
I believe, the only connection is the creator used the same names, but Namco can prove me wrong.

In retrospect, I now think the only possible connection between Xenogears and Xenosaga is the Zohar.
And I heard that Abel's Ark is actually the largest Gnosis ever to appear among those alien thingerbobs. Wasn't it that it stole the original Zohar somewhere in Episode 2? I gotta play it again. I know I'm getting things mixed up here and there...
