Here is where people can post their views on what exactly an element is. Such as whether you think that Ice is an official element, or if it is water... etc. I'm going to post my ideas of the elements, and add more when I have the time. Feel free to post or criticize, as long as you have your own ideas of the elements, I want to hear them.

The Life elements
Fire: The element of heat and passion. It can both hold life in balance and tip the balance. It can burn away almost anything in it's path, and also leave the ashes to nourish the ground for the next generation. Fire's main weakness is water, which can kill a fire with a relatively small quantity, whereas its strength is wind, which brings the fire up and into its full flame.
Water: The element of motion and coolness. It, like fire, can sustain life and also destroy it. Water is generally a very underestimated element, because of water's coolness, but water with ice can kill, as can a large ammount, or the creatures inside of the water. Water's weakness is lightning and electric powers, which send volts through the water to make it lethal and stop it. Water's strength is fire, which is can douse very easily.
*Earth: The element of inertia. It, also like Water and fire, can hold life in balance and tip it, nourishing the ground for life to grow and live, and destroy it, in earthquakes and volcanoes. The earth is generally calm, but when it is angered, it is easily the strongest element of them all, crushing anything without regard to it's victims. It's strength is wind, which cannot harm the earth (ever see a gale knock down a mountain? I didn't think so), whereas almost all the elements take a toll on the earth.
*I belive that earth when invoked is the strongest element.
Wind: The element of motion. It can nourish and support life easily, but it must work harder than some elements to kill. Gales and hurricanes are forceful, but not as common as fires or floods. Wind is always moving, bringing the seeds and scents of life to those it can reach. Wind holds a force, but it is not the strongest. Wind is stronger than Luna (hard to explain) because it can control the clouds that allow Luna to hold power and is beaten by earth.

The Variant Elements
Lightning/Electric: The fastest element easily, but also the least accurate. Lightning strikes without warning, and can do a great deal of damage. It it lured from it's target by metal and high places, but if it hits, it can rival earth for destrictive power. Some argue that this is not an element because it is created from both earth and wind. Lightning cannot harm earth because the earth grounds the attacks, but Lightning strikes water with a terrifying power.
Ice: Ice is the least emotional element, showing no emotion whatsoever. It does not support life whatsoever. Ice, unlike some believe, is not the frozen water, but the freeze itself. Ice is the absence of heat, the immobilzer of water. It's enigmatic relationship with heat is tedious. Fire melts the ice, which douses the fire, and then the air will grow cold again and freeze. The ultimate cold is Zero Kelvin, at which point anything stops.

The following elements are the classified elements, Light and Dark. They have other names, but light and dark are the easiest. However, just because Dark is dark, doesn't mean that dark is evil. Neither is light always good. Think about it while you read this. Remember, these are my ideas, if you don't agree, I'm glad to know it.
Light: The 'pure' element. Light symbolises the connection to heaven, and purifies. It is mostly associated with healing, but it is not true, Light is just as strong in power as dark, and can heal the same as all the other elements. Light does not officially mean holy. After all, Lucifer was light at one point. Dark is both a strength and weakness of Light.
Dark: The 'tainted' element. Dark symbolises detestment and hell, whereas that is fire. Dark is the shadows which light creates, in its own little irony. Also, those who are evil cannot be dark, because evil gains power by collecting power, and dark is at it's best spreading out to contain all. Dark may opress, but it shows equal favor to those in it's path.

These are the elements I like, and more people think that these aren't oficial elements than any of the others.
Chaos - a mixture of dark, light, and fire where dark holds dominant power. Chaos wreaks havoc on an opposing element with confusion and illusions infinite. It is at the heart of panic and the urge to destroy that almost all of us have sometimes. It is out bad conscience.
Luna - a mixture where light, dark, and ice where light holds dominant power. It is the mysterious element that opens the souls of werecreatures and vampires, because it is powered through the moon. It can destroy Chaos, because chaos is where life is, and Luna supports no life.
Aurora - the mixture of all elements to create an elemental vacuum. The only sure known thing about this element is that it is created when a solar flare hits a powerful magnetic field. It does not ammount amazing damage on any element, but neither does any element harm it.
PSI - the element of the mind. The mind is the body's ultimate power, for one can use the brain to make oneself sick or well... PSI is the embodiment of the power, controling things by mind over matter and even influincing the actions opposing it. PSI has no physical weakness, because it is the perfect opposite of any physical element.

I beleive Light and Dark are the most powerful. Kinda like in Kingdom Hearts (in general) I think that one can't really survive without either one, so it's like a continuous battle that can't be won. That's what I think anyway. sweatdrop

3nodding I agree... and without light, darkness has nothing to oppose it's will gainst, and without darkness, light has nothing to purrify. Light creates the shadows which it fights... I understand what you're thinking, but I still believe that Earth, when it's truly angered, is the most powerful.

Yeah, I see what you mean. That could be a good possibility, because the Earth decides whether to take sun in or put clouds out, as a shield. In a realistic way anyway. sweatdrop

And also because earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and the ever popular meteors are all accredited to an angry earth. over 6,000,000 lives... the earth is definitely the most destructive.

Joao Franco And also because earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and the ever popular meteors are all accredited to an angry earth. over 6,000,000 lives... the earth is definitely the most destructive. Yeah, I can agree with you there. It's probably the most destructive. But yet, it could be so destructive that self-destruction could be a posibillity of itself. 3nodding

As I said, Earth when it;s angry can beat any element... but when it's calmer... it's much weaker.

But fire is uncontrollable when enraged, it's called a 'wildfire'.
