Updates 6.27.2006 Riordan has been neglected >.< 5.21.2006 Riordan is introduced. 5.14.2006 Riordan is adopted Rules I am looking forward to people coming and RPing with me and Riordan in his journal, but there are a couple of rules I'd like you to follow while you're here. 1. Please be literate when typing. 1. Basic rules of conduct apply. Be nice! 1. I don't mind swearing, but let's not get carried away. I don't have many rules, but please note that they are all number one. There's a reason for that. :3

About Riordan Name: Riordan Stage: Adult Status: Single, but looking for a young lady who inspires my soul. Personality: I suppose I'm fairly average for an Audio, although I have what many think to be the annoying habit of speaking in couplets when the mood strikes me. I also believe that every cloud has silver lining, every castle on a cloud a way to attain it. I love life; it's as simple as that. Likes: Well, of course I love music; I have a passion for it that I reserve for few other things. I enjoy all of the arts, and while I like to think of myself as fairly level-headed and down to earth, I like to take trips into the realms of fantasy through reading, writing, art, poetry and song. I also have a weakness for chocolate cake. Dislikes: Ignorance in all of it's many forms and foods that are bitter. Riordan It takes one who is comfortable in his own fur to be purple.

About Jayde Name: Jayde Age: Nineteen Status: Single and not looking Personality: I like to think that I'm a pretty optimistic person. I know that sometimes bad things happen, but good things happen too, and all you can do is hold your friends close and wait for the bad things to blow over, as they always will. Also, (as can probably be seen by the 'family' section) I will always take in a wayward soul, happy to add someone else to our little family. I'm usually concidered the head-of-household, and am generally the mother/sister of the bunch. Likes: Food! Er, I mean, I like the arts too, especially art and music. I love anything funny, like jokes or even funny stories and quotes; laughter is the best medicine, and it makes life more fun. Dislikes: I know it's silly, but the thing I dislike the most is probably the dark. Ever since...well, I don't really remember, I haven't liked it. But I also don't like hurtful sarcasm and tasteless jokes. Jayde You can't make footprints in the sands of time by sitting on your butt. And who wants to make buttprints in the sands of time?

The Family Alright, are you ready for this one? Lyra: At 227, he's the oldest one at the household. Though he doesn't act like it, he is actually a pet from the shop that Jayde owns with her friend Kylin. He's incredibly sarcastic, and usually carries a cocky attitude, but he has a deep caring for children and/or younglings. He acts as somewhat of an older brother figure for most, and as a father to Corli. He speaks in Black. Damen: At 25, he's generally thought of as 'that damn bounty hunter.' He appeared one day and no one can seem to get rid of him. He's somewhat of a mooch, but he works hard when he calls to. He's a lot like Lyra, although he'd never admit it. He's a little more of a flirt, though, and a lot smoother with the ladies concidering he's been human for a little longer. He speaks in navy. Corli: No one really knows how old he is. Lyra rescued him from a feral dragon that used to roam around the islands and took him home. He's still learning English although he seems to be picking up well. He looks to be about eight, and act's about that old too, always cheerful and wanting to play. He speaks in blue. Sabrina: Only a few months old, Corli actually brought her home. He found her in a mysterious swam on the island that no one else has ever been able to locate. She's very passive in demeanor, and very shy, but she follows Corli around like a puppy and would likely defend him if needed. She looks similar to a very small gryphin, and she speaks in orange. Angua: A three year old wolf, Angua was abandoned from her pack and wandered around the island for quite some time. However, Corli somewhat adopted her when he kept seing another 'puppy' in the woods. She is another one of Corli's loyal followers although she is also fond of Jayde. She dislikes Damen, and she acts in olive. Davexander: Only a few months old, Jayde actually brought him into the house as an egg. He is now a full grown brown dragon at about fifteen feet high and acts very much like a sentient golden retriever who just so happens to breathe fire. He loves everyone. He speaks in brown. Blank: Like Corli, no one really knows how old he is, just that he's very young. While Jayde and Lyra were out shopping, they found him and the other kittens in a box outside the store and brought them home. He doesn't speak (yet) but he is very brotherly and protective towards everyone. He looks up to Lyra like a father figure, although his transformation from adult to elder shook the foundations of their relationship. He acts in red.The Kittens: Found with Blank, they are ordinary cats except for their strange appearance. (Hey, if they weren't a little out of the ordinary, they wouldn't be here.) Mahiru is pretty lazy, and tolerates attention. Zinnia is...well, Zinna. She's not really all there. Tenshi is an angel--literally. She loves everyone and lives off attention. Lucien, though always by her side, is exactly the opposite. They act in gray. Taro: He first came to the treehouse in something of a whisp form, flitting in and out until he found someone who would react to him even though he was technically just a dream. He found Jayde. Since then, he's gotten a little more sullen and irritable, and definitely more stubborn. He speaks in dark red. Alto: He's another kath from Jayde's shop at Critter Haven. He's more of an intilletual than Lyra, but not as poetic as Riorden. He's generally found around where Jayde is or annoying Lyra or Damen. He speaks and acts in cyan. We have kind of a collection going here, but the treehouse is run sort of like a commune--if you need a home, don't hesitate. If you need money...well, you're otta luck, but you can still have a home.

Friends Kylinari: A friend of Jayde's, she is also the co-owner of the shop Critter Haven. Tangel: Kylinari's Audio. Riorden hasn't been able to spend much time with her yet, but its likely that he will concidering how much time Jayde and Ky spend together. D: The nickname of Jayde's friend Darkness Everlasting. The two go back and forth haunting each others' shops and generally collecting pets. Saige: D's audio, with the same situation as with Tangel.

Riordan's Castle in the Sky {As told by a boring narrator describing the house}
Off the coast of the Isle de Gambino are a couple of islands that are generally uninhabited. They are shaped like the sun and moon, joining together to make a lagoon in the middle and are appropriately named Isle de Soler and Lunis isle. Lunis Isle, the side closest to civilization, has on it's coast what's left of a petshop named Critter Haven. It's mostly just storage, but it is part of a small collection of shops there. Just down the beach can be found a relatively large jungle, where massive trees grow. In the highest part of one of these trees is actually a house. It's octagon in shape with a circular window on every side, framed with green curtains that match the tree that it sits in. Leading up to it is a set of spiral stairs that circle around the trunk. There aren't that many people on the island, so there really isn't even a door--only another green curtain to keep out any rain that might come. When you first open the curtains to reveal the inside of the house, it is amazing how big it is on the inside. About ten feet from floor to ceiling, it's a full story high, but most of it is empty space. On the ceilings are lazily turning fans that keep the temperature inside down dispite the heat of the island. Along the walls aren't much other than a great deal of windows--on on each side of the octagonal room, letting in a lot of light and the soft sounds of the ocean crashing on the sand. almost directly in front of the door is a large pile of pillows that serves as a living room/entertaining area. Along the walls to the left and right are small bamboo book cases. If you walk past the pillows and around the pillar is the kitchen, separated from the rest of the room by islands that food can be set on. It's a modest kitchen, with little more than a stove, an oven, and a refrigorator, although it serves its purpouse well enough since a great deal of the inhabitants of the hosue hunt for their meals. Continuing around the trunk of the tree is what serves as the dining room. And by that I mean a table and four chairs. Jayde always says that she's going to get something bigger, but no one really eats at the table anyway, so she keeps putting it off. You could continue to talk around the house, but that would just lead you back around to the doorway, and I'm sure no one wants to read this whole thing again.

Music Hall of Favorites Although Castle in the Sky is my favorite song, I have pretty eclectic tastes. In this section, I will post a few lyrics that I find particularly moving and well written. Current Favorite Where's the orchestra? Wasn't this supposed to be a musical? Here I am in the balcony How the hell could I have missed the overture? I like the scenery Even though I have absolutely no Idea at all What is being said Despite the dialogue There's the leading man The movie star who never faced an audience Where's the orchestra? After all This is my big night on the town My introduction to the theatre crowd I assumed that the show would have a song So I was wrong At least I understand All the innuendo and the irony And I appreciate The roles the actors played The point the author made And after the closing lines And after the curtain calls The curtain falls On empty chairs Where's the orchestra? Let the Mayhem Begin! Following this final post will be the journal entries/RP concerning Riorden and Jayde. I don't usually color code, so to minimize confusion, if the entry is in first person, the speaker will be indicated at the beginning of the post as such: {As told by _____ } So...let the mayhem begin!

{As told by Lyra}
All things concidered, it hadn't been that bad of a day. The sun was shining (not that, on a tropical island, that was particularly unusual) and the damn bounty hunter was keeping his mouth shut for once. He and the kitten were discussing another one of their idiotic ideas again, but it kept them engrossed and out of my hair, so that was fine.
I should have known better than to think it would last.
"Guys! Guess what?" Jayde, who had been at Critter Haven all day, ran through the door so fast it left the curtain swinging in her wake. It was easy to see that she was almost trembling with excitement, so I sat down before she told me something that would make me fall over and Damen decided he would take a stab at it.
"Aliens landed on CH and made Kylin...normal?"
"No, stupid," she said, rolling her eyes. But even the crack on 'cooky ky' couldn't put a damper on her good spirits. That concerned me. But she just put on her biggest grin and opened the curtain wide revealing...
"Oh, hell," I groaned, laying my hands on my arms, which were crossed on the table. "Why...?"
"Before you start," she interrupted, "I didn't get him. Ky got him for me."
'Him' was what I thought was an Audio Rhetoric--a pet Jayde had been wanting for quite some time. But there was something just not quite right about...him.
"Jayde, he's purple. Are you sure it's a he?" She started to say something, but that's when it spoke.
"It takes an audio very secure to wear lavender on all of his fur."
"What. The. Hell."
"Aww, he's so cute!" As much as I hate to admit it, the look of horror that crossed Damen's face was incredibly similar to my own. She'd used...the c-word. I'm surprised the strange dog-cat like creature didn't fall over when she threw her arms around him and gave him a huge hug.
"Lyra, did you hear that? He speaks in couplets!"
"No, there's only one."
"That means rhyms, genious." I glared at Alto, who was now free since Damen was now making gagging noises behind Jayde's back. Knowing that no matter what I said, the stupid teen would have some smartass comeback, I turned my attention back on the strange purple thing.
"Alright, so its in theory a guy, and he speaks in rhymes. Jayde, what kind of a man did you bring home?"
"A man who can think, a man who can sing a man who can do any number of things. I am man enough to wear purple and gold but you always wear black and white I'm told. As for the rest, I just have to ask-- does that just make you a really big cat?"
"What did you just call me, punk?" I bellowed, standing up so fast I knocked over the poor battered chair. It clattered loudly when it hit the ground, but the audio just smiled charmingly at me.
"I believe that's whats called, 'being told,'" Alto said with a grin. Jayde was laughing so hard by this point there were tears in her eyes, which I did not appreciate. Who did this dog-cat thing thing he/she/it was, coming into my house and disrupting everything?!
"Look, you--" I began, but damn if he didn't start talking again!
"I'd like you to remember, if you can don't call me 'you'--my name is Riordan." At this point, there was little I could do other than throw my hands up in the air and stalk up the stairs to my perch on top of the house. What the hell?! Why did she have to keep bringing more of these things home?
I could hear them all laughing hysterically downstairs and I huffed, slamming the trap door to the roof closed. This was great, just great.
