She's adorable!! if you want to be anatomically correct, there's a lot of things you can work on such as the ear (it would be a lot bigger). but i don't see a need since you're not going for realism. good job!! heart

Thank you! Never thought about the ear other than it's too detailed. xd Is it really tiny? I can't really see it myself, but I'll keep it in mind to the next painting. 3nodding What else? I love for you to point things out. I'm quite good at spotting other people's misstaked but with my own art I go blind after starring at it for too long. Know the feeling?
The misstaked I do see is that the hair goes in the wrong direction on top of the head and she squint a bit. xp But overall I like it. smile

yeah, i know the feeling. it sucks, doesn't it? try turning the picture upside down, or look at it in a mirror, it helps you see it from a different angle and you can often pick out things that i you missed. or take a digital image of it and stare at it on the computer. it helps me lots.
as for this painting.....if i really want to be picky, i can pick out a lot of things, but if you change some of them, you might lose the style you have here. i'll just pick out obvious things (obvious to me at least). to be anatomically correct, the place of attachment at the top of the ear should line up with the corner of your eye. the bottom of attachment should line up with your nose. make sense? go grab a magazine photo and look at a picture taken from a normall view and you should see it. there isn't really anything else wrong with the picture except for maybe you can move the mouth up a little. the distance from the end of nose to the upper lip is about the same as the distance from the lower lip to the chin, which isn't right.
and yeah, the ear is really detailed. me like heart

Totally sucks when you get stuck. Thanks for the tips! My paintings always looks better upsidedown for some reason. O.o I never tried the mirror one for real, only reversed it in the computer after first starring at it. xd Now I feel stupid for not using the a regular mirror. xp
I see what you mean about the ear. Worst thing about real media is that I can't change it. I think the ear got too detailed it steals attention. >.< But I like ears. biggrin
My mouth actually are placed like that. xd Look at my photos in my website or request thread, i have a cap between my nose and mouth. I often catch myself drawing myself or my boyfrined when I'm playing around without reference pictures. Most artists I know does selfportraits without knowing. ^^

goodness, she's a cutie. most of the big-eyed cute anime girls come across (to me) as sickeningly sweet looking, but you've managed to make it pleasant to look at without thinking of pink bunnies and such. nice job with the colors. although i think the mouth is a little small, but nothing really to worry about.
