The realm of High King Ereinion Gil-galad. The most part of the remnants of the Noldor dwell here, in scattered cities about the Gulf of Lhun. Forlond is the chief city of Forlindon, the lands north of the gulf, and Harlond is the greatest of Harlindon, south of the Lhun. But the greatest city of all is Mithlond upon the River Lhun, the Grey Havens, where the king and his shipwrights dwell, and where the Quendi may take ship into the West. The people of Lindon are mostly Noldorin and Sindarin, making Lindon a mighty Elven-kingdom: a memory Of Beleriand and Its Realms.

Mithlond :: Sulgaer
(Okay, I haven't calculated the date yet. So sue me.

Sulgaer was the name of that ship which bore the High King, and all of Mithlond sat at the port, awaiting his long awaited return. 'Twas near two months ago that the loss of Isildur became known, and much had happened that would long be remembered.

The High King was happy, for he desired greatly to speak with kin who stayed behind. "'Tis but a minute before we are docked! he cried in delight, and those in his company were glad.

Sulgaer - Mithlond

Glorfirith cheered at her uncle's announcement of their arrival in Mithlond. Sure travelling was fun but after a long time it does get quite dull. The jokes were always fun but when one repeatedly gets in trouble they do tire of it eventually.

She got ready to get off the ship and greet everyone, looking around for Genevieve.

Sulgaer - Mithlond

Neniel Starfire

Neniel should have been happy they were finally landing in Mithlond. After all, she had met her parents at the last stop, and the encouraged her to meet her kin in the northern kingdom. So Neniel, excited to travel so far from her home, went along. She was happy for the first few days.

But then she got seasick, and remaind so the rest of the trip here. The sound of land made the young half-elf happy, but she was to busy leaning over the side of the ship to say much of anything.

Ship Docked and the King's arrival

Neniel StarfireLoswen Starlight

Loswen watches as the great ship from Gondor docks at the Havens. The arrival of the nobles of Arnor (and a few others with them) did not go unnoticed, but as the ship lowers the ramps to allow it's passengers to disembark, Loswen looks hard for one face.

Sure enough, amoung the other walking down the ramp, poor Neniel is still a little pale from being sick. It takes all the self control the Osgiliath Ranger has not to kneel on the ground and start to kiss the sweet grass. She sees Loswen, who's resemblance to her mother confirms that this is the sister her parents told her would be in Arnor. Neniel walks up to Loswen as the healer dismounts.

You are Loswen Starlight?

And you must be Neniel Starfire, Ranger of Osgiliath. Welcome to Arnor little sister.

Neniel smiles at the family she had never known before. Loswen puts an arm around Neniel's shoulder.

I'm sure you have a lot of questions for me, but as a healer, I can see the sea does not agree with you.

You can say that again. When I go back to Osgiliath, it's on horseback past Isenguard.

Araloth Vinyare

Araloth watched Loswen greet a younger woman so alike in appearance to herself that she could only be Loswen's sister Neniel. Smiling slightly, she slides quietly into the bustling crowd surrounding the Gondorian vessel.

Nolah Pennbeleth

Nolah watched with a smile as people embraced and met each other halfway across the distance. She could not see Morthol in the press of people and though she knew he had his duty to the King she desperately wanted to see him, to speak with him. She had no relatives or friends coming from Gondor and sought only her betrothed. I will see him later...She reasoned with herself.

Mithlond, a date I can't remember
Neniel Starfire
Loswen Starlight

Loswen, with Neniel on her heels, walks over to Nolah with a smile.

Nolah, this is Neniel of Osgiliath. She is my kin from Gondor. I though you should meet her.

Neniel smiles, holding a steaming cup of something. The color has returned to her face.

Well met. My sister says you are to be married here in Mithlond.

Nolah Pennbeleth

"I am."
Nolah smiled radiantly before bowing her head. "Indeed well met, It is a pleasure to meet you. I have heard many things from your sister. She's longed to meet you for some time." Nolah said and then inclined her head to
Loswen. "Your sister is a fine woman-very skilled and a dear friend to me. You two are lucky to have found each other, after so long a time."

Though she was enjoying the moment of finally meeting the much-talked-about sister still her eyes would scan the group for Morthol. "I have not yet planned a single thing for the wedding but I would wish you two to be involved in it somehow..."

Mithlond-Harbor

Neniel Starfire
Loswen Starlight

Neniel, looking at her now empty mug, smiles at Nolah.
You're lucky, I can't get most of the Rangers I hang out with don't see me as a girl, just a Ranger. Bad enough I'm the only Ranger with ears like mine. But it's not all bad.

Loswen smiles, nodding slowly.
Why do you think I live here? Either way, Neniel didn't even know I was alive until she reached Belfalas on the way here. And she was glad I am a healer, poor Neniel, dispite our Eldar blood, gets sea-sick.

Neniel sighs.
Do you have to tell everyone? It's embarissing.

Loswen laughs.
Well, all things settled, Nolah, let's find your husband-to-be. Between a noble woman, a healer, and a Dunedain Rangers, we should be able to find him.

Araloth Vinyare

As Araloth watched the people around her greet friends and family, she felt a slight pang in her chest. Swiftly shaking it away, she looked around for her companions.

Mithlond - Royal Harbours

Menegil Belmagol
Elendil the Tall
Morthol
Elendor Naurind
Isilien Andunel

The boat finally arrived, after many days out in the open sea. It had been a slightly difficult voyage, crowned by several storms near the coast of the Enedwaith, but nothing that the great Gondorian ship would not wither. Menegil had passed most of his time in the upper deck, at the quille, sitting on a chair, writing and reading his journal, sometimes conversating with a bored High King about times past, and times yet to come.

The anchor fell, with a great splash, into the water. Several Gondorian soldiers readied their ceremony clothing, to escort the High King.

Menegil stood at the quille, looking to the immense crowd in the Royal Harbours. At the disembarking site were the other Councilors of the King, along with a company of thirty knights and a particular figure standing in front of them; Elendil the Tall, High King of the Exiled Numenoreans.
Beside him were two ladies and, what it seemed to be, a Numenorean youth, armed like a prince, holding Narsil, the sword of his King, honourably. And several feet nearby were Elrond Peredhil, Herald of Gil-galad, along with a well-equipped soldier, that Menegil recognized as being his student, Elendor.

A marvelous sound echoed through the entire city, as hundreds of elfen horns were blown, saluting their King. The ramp was set up. The first to come out, to the surprise everyone, was Neniel. Following her, the escort of Gil-galad stepped forward. Twenty of the finest Gondorian soldiers, lead by Menegil, fully equipped with the armour of the General, said to be of Gondolinhrim origin. As they positioned themselves at the dock, the High King stepped forward, the epitome of elven majesty and power. The entire population bowed, to salute their King, and the horns blew even harder.

"Welcome home, my friend." Elendil greeted. Morthol, beside him, bowed, along with Nolah.

As the Numenorean king greeted, a figure came forth from behind the councilors. Isilien Andunel, Princess of the Noldor, wife of Anarion.

"Welcome back, father." She also greeted, bowing slightly, a wide smile crossing her face.

"Sire..." A voice came from behind her. Elrond stepped forward, and bowed. Elendor, however, said nothing, respectfully bowing to his King, daring not to rise his head.

"Hail, High King! The banquet is set at your palace." one of his councilors said, stepping forward, bowing to Gil-galad and saluting Menegil, who replied equally.

((awaiting Mr. Ereinion's response...))

Mithlond: Harbors
Araloth Vinyare

As the High King descended onto shore, Araloth knelt with all others at the harbor. Her elven ears picked up the voices, though she was not near to the royal party. The whole crowd was silent, awaiting the high kings response.

((What, none of you have doen the date yet? Sigh...))

Mithlond

in the Reckoning of Lindon
30 Narquelie in the King's Reckoning

"Well, this is a welcome home like none before!" said the High King in delight. "Elendil, friend, great mercy have thou bestowed upon me that I should gaze upon so many friendly faces. I thank you for this kingly gift."

The High King made no attempt to veil his excitement; hardly could one describe his deboarding of Sulgaer as a lordly one. No sooner had he reached solid ground did he rush to his daughter. "Beautiful Isilien, I am overjoyed to see you well once again. And certainly shall you find delight in your reunion with your spouse, I am sure, but let me embarce thee once more." And embrace he did, and all present could see the great love father had for his Elven-fair daughter.

But there were several present, and before long Ereinion moved so as to speak with Elrond. "Behold, the son of Earendil! I am gladdened by your presence, Elrond Half-elven, for long councils I deem needed. But let such troubles be idle for a day or so! Be merry, Elrond. We shall speak later."

Thus, having addressed all in person, the High King bowed. "Gladdened though I am to be home, more glad would I be if I were able to relax in my tower. I shall not say much then, other than that I hope the guests to this kingdom find joy here. Now farewell! I part for hy home. But know that all are welcome within my walls, and should you desire it you may pass the long nights with me.!"

Thus Ereinion Gil-galad left the wharfs of Mithlond, taking with him all who wished it.
