What's with the 'back room' business you ask? Well, there are a few purposes. Sometimes we might want to give events some breathing room in case, for example, there are multiple events going on simultaneously and the main shop thread is in danger of flooding xD Or perhaps an artist wants to hold a game/contest/whatnot that has a more intimate structure, where it still has open attendance but likely won't attract quite as many random 'appear once and then vanish' event participants.
Another reason I established the sub forum is for organizational purposes. Not all staff members have access to the mule, and I know that some events require quite a lot of information juggling/lists to tend to/etc. This way all staff members will have the ability to create and manage their own event threads (and I'm sure having the ability to help edit fellow staff member's threads will help out somewhere) without having to clutter up the main breedables forum.
In any case, this is -NOT- meant to be a forum designed to exclude or discourage new people from joining in on events. I actually hope that in most cases, people will feel less intimidated about posting during a back room event because of the relaxed nature. I know main thread events tend to get kinda hairy scary xD;
