Welcome To FA's CornerHi everyone i am fa and as i was looking over this guild i thought it would be a wonderful idea to set up a place for reviews and such! i will also keep an updated list of whats coming out this month plus little bio's on the manga. and anything else i can think of! i also want to do a guild memeber of the month and lots of over fun things!!! so please take a look over this place .! also please leave some comments such as what you think about what i have done so far and things you would like me to review or anything else!! ^_^ also i am looking for a banner maker and an artist to do a piece of art for me. thankies everyone!!!! xd = comdey exclaim = action ninja = mystery crying = drama heart = romance neutral = life issues twisted = horror whee = cutesy some of the gifts that were made for me! heart heart  by krow bird! thankies so much

WHAT IS MANGA
I know everyone in this guild knows what manga is, or why would you be here?! But should you find a perosn who does'nt know about the wonderful world of manga then show them this or you could read and maybe learn something new about manga that you didnt know....
Walking down the street in california you see people outside enjoying the day. Familys at parks, people riding buses and allot of people reading. Looking at some of the book stores i visit allot, i seen something i have never seen before. Manga in the window!! And this brought a memory back to me, two years ago walking down the same street i remeber having to walk into the book store and go into the far back on the bottom shelf to find the tiny section of manga they carried. that summer i had the chance to go to japan for two weeks. it was my senior trip. i couldnt walk two feet without seeing manga. people of all ages reading manga. and it hits me how far we have really come.
Today more then 700 manga titles of all shapes and sizes go on sale in Japan where as america has about 300 a month, but these numbers rise every month! Manga is no longer just a treat for the japanese but to everyone all over the world, with more and more manga being translated , it's no surprize that the name manga is becoming a "house hold" word these days. When manga made its first apperience many americans called it a good-for-nothing-comic-book. Little did they know at the time that these " comic" books would later become the conerstores of Japanese export, and one of the most popular forms of reading in america. READY WORLD MANGA IS CULTURE!!!
Picking up a manga is like picking up a tiny text- book. now before you laugh at me and anyone else who sees this let me explain. There are as many comdey and action titles as there are topics about life. each of these titles are like expert books on their own subject. Manga education goes beyond anything you can learn in school. Such as a comdey manga can teach you new vocabulary items where as reading a manga that is deep into historical events can strike ones interesting into finding more information on historical events and real people of that time. And manga are allot easier to understand then most text books becuase plenty of people out there who find the visual world of two-dimensional art allot more accessible then regular books.
Japanese manga is more then just entertainment. It's inspiring, enlightening and all encompassing. manga can teach allot as well as bring some fun to reading. so sit down and read and if someone tells you to put down that manga your reading then tell them everything i told you and smile and hold up that manga and say " It's Culture!! you hear that mama!! my manga is culture!!

Wow, I can see you put a lot of effort into making this thread. eek Heh, anyway.... As a manga critique myself, I'd say you did a good job. I'm happy you added a list of some of the Manga that will be coming out. [I got Negima vol. 5 today whee ] I also read Angelic Layer, and it was a cute series. Nice choice for a first review [although, I'd give it 4 out 5, since the thing with the robots/dolls, trainers, etc. is sort of an overused plot i.e.: Medabots, Megaman]
