 When Sauron invaded the lands of Eriador many years ago, the High King sent his herald Elrond to the defense of Eregion. But even with his might added to that of Celeborn's, Eregion fell, and so Elrond retreated far to the north. In the shadows of the Misty Mountains he made a refuge against the invading Orcs, and Sauron never could assail it. Ever since, it has been known as the Last Homely House East of the Sea, and it is a vale as fair and mighty as Lindon in the West. -Written by Falathrim-

Imladris::Courtyard
Elrond sat in the courtyard of Rivendell staring at the waters the falls cascade down the rocks.He wondered how his kinsmen were faring on their trip to mordor. No word had reached him as of yet from anyone of their fate. Not even the Eagles had given a hint to him, though he longed for it. He wished he could have gone but there was no way he could leave and let the protection of his borders fall into peril.
'Ahh, he should just forget about all this.' He said to himself. They were fine, surely they were. With Gil-Galad none could fail. He stood up and made his way down the hallway towards his room. Suddenly he stopped, he smelled something. He followed the scent......searching. What was it? It seemed so familiar but he just couldn't place it. Finally he turned a corner and he was in his study. In the center atop a bronze colored table sat the source of the smell he was searching for.
It was a pie. He walked up and searched it up and down. Around the base he found a tag.
To:Elrond Love:Glorfirith
'Oh how thoughtful. She must have baked it and left it for me before she left. Well this will be a good day afterall.' He took the pie to his room and sat it down. He smelled it one last time and then suddenly it hit him. Why would she do this? Glorfirith isn't this nice.
He got his answer soon enough. He picked the pie up and found the tag and pulled it off, a mistake he would live to regret. As he pulled it out the pie exploded in his face in a mesh of filling and crust. He sat quietly in thought and wiped the pie from his eyes. He hoped highly they would survive the treck through mordor because when she got back she wouldn't live the night.
((This is joke between me and glorfirith to provide some comic relief on behalf of her character. ^_^))

Ilamdris-Courtyard/Garden Luthien walks through the pathways of the courtyard and gardens of Ilamdris. Turning down a certain path, she sits down on a bench and opens a book that she was carrying with her, and starts to write in it.
((writing in book)) I saw Lord Elrond get splattered with a pie today. I do no know who would do such a thing to him! And I hope that our kindred that left for Mordor make it there and back safely. I can't think of what would happen if they fail...
((This is my first RP entry, so please forgive me if it sounds kinda wonky...) and today (the 27th) is the 1 year anniversary of my joining Gaia! Go me!))

Imladris
Nebriniel goes to Elrond's house and knocks on his study door.
She was going to ask Elrond for news of her friend Glorfirith. Glorfirith had left for Mordor with her uncle Gil-Galad and only said to Nebrinial before leaving "I will be back soon I am going to Mordor with Uncle Gil-Galad".
When the door opened she said to Elrond. "Good day Lord Elrond. I was wondering if you have received news from Glorfirith yet?"

Imladris::Elrond's Study
As Elrond sat in his study he heard a soft knock upon his door. He proclaimed enter and in stepped Nebriniel. She asked for news of her friend Glorfirith in Mordor.
'Sadly, Nebriniel, I have heard no word as of yet about the quest which sat out for Mordor. Trust me if I did I would be in much deeper thought than I am now.' He replied with minimal emotion. He didn't want to show any signs of joy or worry when he knew there was neither on his mind.
'However, when I find out you shall be the first to know of their condition. Is this the only thing you would ask of me? ' he asked with a smiling face. 'Or is there something else you need?'

Ilamdris- Walking Around
As Luthien walks around the paths of Ilamdris, she sees Nebriniel talking to Elrond, but she can't hear what it's about. She goes along until she reaches her room, and sits down at her desk and contniues to write in her book. It's fairly quiet around here. No more news has come about those who had left for Mordor...I fear the worst may have happened, but I pray that they come back alive...
((I need to review a bit on my history of this time period, so please don't hit me over the head with a bunch of Lembas!!!))

Imladris, Bridge
A hooded figure is spotted walking along the bridge leading a white horse. In one hand, she bears a bow and in the other, a wrapped parcel. After crossing the bridge, the figure looks up at Imladris' vast architecture and for a moment, stands in awe. Tucking the package under her arm, she slides her hood off, letting her black hair fall. With her sharp ears, she hears some sort of explosion within the walls. 'That is quite odd to hear in The Last Homely House,' Laurewyn thinks to herself. 'Perhaps it is no longer homely!' Hoping the racket to be some sort of jest, Laurewyn makes her way to the courtyard.

For, by looking out his window, he spotted someone coming over the bridge carrying a wrapped parcel. ' I am sorry,' he commented to Nebriniel. ' But I must go attend more pressing matters for the moment. If you wish something more of me come back and seek for me later, when my task at hand is finished.' At this he strode up out of his chair past her through the door, with barely a trace of his presence behind. He made his way through the corridors, on his way to the courtyard. ' Is this what I have been waiting for?' He thought intently. ' Word of my bretheren in Mordor?' He wished it so but did not get too excited. He had learned long ago that gettings ones hopes up in the pits despair can often make the pit deeper when light is at last thought to be revealed. Imladris::CourtyardElrond strode up to the stranger and commanded them to halt. ' Who are you and why do you come to Imladris? It is not of my wish or council that you are here, therefore I must know your buisness in my land.' He said this with a stern voice but soft eyes. He hoped she was bringing good news but he did not show it. With a hard face he awaited her answer.

"I am called Laurewyn Goldsheen and I bring tidings from Gondor." The elf maiden hands Elrond the package. "I was commanded to deliver this parcel to Lord Elrond of Imladris and that he, and only himself, was to open it. I was not given any further information, but I do not believe it will be anything... explosively shocking." Laurewyn could only guess what had happened a moment ago.

'Ahh my kin. I am happy to recieve you to my dwelling. And I assume within this package is contained the fate of those who set out from here for Mordor?' Now his look was of happy delight, for if this woman was delivering such news it had to be good.
He motioned towards a distant hallway and asked her to follow him to his study to open the parcel for, as she said, he was to open it and wished to open by himself before he decreed the news to those who had remained with him.

Imladris:: Courtyard
Laurewyn nods and whispers some words to her steed, who later obidiently walks off to the stables. The elf maiden then follows Lord Elrond down the hall silently. Her grey eyes move about scanning the walls of the corridor as she walks, reminiscing. Laurewyn takes in the carefully crafted wall mounts, the beautifully done paintings and the finely sewn tapestries that line the hall.

Imladris::Elrond's Study
Elrond proceeded down the corridor towards his study. He entered the room and motioned his guest inside ahead of him to a chair. He sat opposite her with the parcel laying on a table between the two. 'At last this is what I have been waiting for.' He thought. But the more he did think about it the more scared he got to open it. What if it was bad news?.....But what if it wasn't?
He finally sat back and looked his guest in the face. 'Seeing as how you are the parcel carrier, it would only be fit for the messenger to present their message. So please if you don't mind could you read aloud to me?'
He sat back, waiting for her to answer.

Imladris:: Elrond's Study
Laurewyn replies, "This message was meant for your eyes, my lord. I know not what is kept or written inside. Nor do I know whom it is from." The elf maiden pauses for a moment without averting her eyes then says, "I would be disobeying orders from my Captain. I hope you understand and I do pray forgiveness."

Imladris::Elrond's Study
Elrond looked up from his stare and looked her in the face. 'Who is your captain, that would swear you to refuse a request from Elrond, Lord of Rivendell?' He looked her in the eyes, not full of anger but of question. 'Please answer me this question and if it is indeed as you say then you have my leave but only unto the confines of my realm. I may find that, after opening this package, I have use for you. So please tell me who your captain is and then I ask you to leave me to this package.'

"The name of my captain is Celepharn," answers Laurewyn promptly. "And with all do respect, my lord, I will stay if I am needed." The stern look of a warrior gleamed in her sad, grey eyes.
[[Just so I don't confuse anyone, it's not the same Celepharn that ruled in the S.A.]]
