Basic info...
Name :: Akoni
Age :: ~6 years old
Gender :: Male
Hairs :: Black fading into bright orange, seem to have the natural ability to defy gravity and stay messy, no matter how much one comb it.
Eyes :: Completely black
Skin :: Black and Orange, feels scaly to the touch, with some reliefs and bumps to it.

Personality :: One could say Akoni is almost hyperactive. He very rarely stays completely still, his tail seems to move more than his puppy's and he is liable to change trains of thought quite randomly. While not extremely bright, he is not stupid, either. But he can comes on as... very random and excitable, which would be true. He is very sociable and outgoing, maybe even too much. The word "shy" simpely doesn't exist in this gila's mind. He tends to worry too much about the things he shouldn't, and not enough with what he actually should. And while he can accidentally startle and ruffle a few feathers, it is never with ill intent. Akoni is also very influenced by those around him, and seems to be able to keep more focused under certain situations, like if someone is sad and he is trying to help/cheer them up.

Akoni is extremely curious, but when given a secret, will keep it to the end, no matter the circumstances. He also loves working manually and likes to create things - it is more likely for him to hand out gifts he actually made, instead of something from a store. Not much seems to scare him, asside maybe death.

16.05.06 - Akoni is 'born', and recieves Ty as a brithday present from The Nameless One.

Ty is Akoni's only pet, a small puppy given to him by The Nameless One and Sparks. It seems to be a golden retriver. At any rate, the little gila loves Ty, and never seems to fail to remember to take care of him, or take him for walks. Ty came with a small red collar, as well as two dog dishes and a blanket that lies on the end of Akoni's bed. Ty usually sleeps right there at his master's feet, or snuggeled against him if it happens to be a bit cold.

Physical Description:

Gila Monsters belong to one of the two venomous lizard species of the world. The other poisonous lizard is the Mexican Beaded lizard. The Gila Monster is unique among other reptiles. It is large, heavy-bodied, possessing a massive head, and small eyes. One of the characteristic signs of the lizard's appearance is its short, swollen tail. The body is a spotted pattern of black, pink, orange, or yellow scales.

The skin of the Gila Monster is often called beadlike. It is made up of rounded, raised scales. The legs of the lizard are rather short, and set far apart. The curved claws on the feet are used for digging. The tongue of the Gila Monster is snake-like. These lizards tend to flick out their forked tongue, as they crawl. It helps them pick up scents.

Range:

The Gila Monster is a desert species. It is found in southwestern Utah, the southern tip of Nevada, southwestern New Mexico, Arizona, and Sonora. They are also found in Northwestern Mexico.

Size:

This is the largest lizard known to the United States. A large adult lizard is normally 20-21 inches long. Hatchlings are usually six to six and one-half inches in length. Growth rate the Gila Monster is slow. Young lizards grow at a faster rate than the adults. The Gila Monster typically weighs three to five pounds.

Life Span:

Gila Monsters tend to live 20 to 30 years.
