Only Kenshin is shown dying in one of the OVAs, I believe.
In the regular old series (and I believe the manga too) neither of them die. But, er, I guess it can be assumed that, yes, eventually they did die...Being humans. razz

Yes they did die in the OVA.
Ano...I think a spoiler warning in the title might be a nice for those of our members who don't know...

Come back to me OVA? What's that? Forgive me, I'm kinda new to this. OVA= Original Video Animation, in the case of Kenshin, Samurai X :Trust and Betrayal, and Samurai X: Reflection(the one I was referring to)

In the OVA, they did indeed die, but in the Manga, they did not (well, not right away. I mean, I suppose they do die eventually, but of old age). So yeah, it's really up to you to decide if you will follow the anime or the manga when it comes to the ending.

I was actually to angry to cry. XD I mean, it was good, don't get me wrong, but I would've preferred it a lot more had it not been about Kenshin, but just some other random swordsman. I found they took away the whole feeling that the series originally had is all.

I heard that in the anime series Kenshin goes all Battousai and kills Kaoru-Dono. Now I don't own the series yet but my cousins boyfriend does and I think that's what he said about it. My brother also mentioned something about it when I first got into Kenshin.
