Ok I claim the title Final Fantasy VI music fanatic. We loves Nobuo Uematsu. heart Anyhoo. Whats everyones favorite songs, or characters songs. I like many of them equally so it's hard to choose a favorite.
The vocal version of Terra's theme is awsome. I like shadows theme. It's just fun to whistle. The music when Sabin and Edgar have the flashbacks is another favorite. I think I might stop there as I might end up listing every characters song at some point.
Oh and if you go to the site I listed in the links section you might want to check out Black Mages version of Dancing Mad. It's the best I've heard so far.

Whenever I watch Celes sing at the Opera House I cry... crying Toki no Hourousha is just phenonemal. (I can't spell) I can easily fall asleep listening to a looped Relm's theme... Oi, I can't pick my favorite...

I wasn't aware that there were lyrics to some of the Final Fantasy songs until a couple years ago. Unfortuneately I don't understand enough Japanese to understand what the songs are saying but I don't suppose it matters since I still like the songs. Picking a favorite = Incredibly Tough.

Haha. Well I went to the opera house to find the lyrics and lo and behold the english translations were right next to it. I haven't been there in forever. I only studied Japanese for a year over in Okinawa. Not enough to know much really...

I love Dancing Mad, I love Black Mages, though I must say, I especially love the death theme from FFI and ATMA's theme from FFVI. Atma is my all time favorite monster in all of the series.

I love "Dancing Mad" that crazy thing is 12 minutes long! I also really like Shadow's theme.

My vote most certainly goes for "Dark World." Something about the slow, yet steady pulse of the organ and the ambient wind is both chilling and calming simultaneously.

Oi, I can't pick my favorite... Wow, somebody who actually knows that song! (Toki no Hourousha) That's one of my favourites, and just Terra's theme in general. And Relm's theme, Gau's theme, Celes' opera theme, Dancing Mad, Forever Rachel... aah, I can't decide which one I like best. I love them all. whee

I mentioned God's Cradle in and FF thread and no one had any idea what I was talking about. I don't think it's on te Pray CD and I've never seen it for download. I think it's one of those rare tracks. I found lyrics to it once, tho... stare crying

The entire opera. I agree with Terra that Celes' aria is excellent, but I find it to be ten-fold better when heard with the complete score. Context is everything, and what a mind-blowing context it has. The moods, the recurring themes, the story; everything about it was wonderful. I only wish they'd made an Act II.
Second place goes to the WoRuin Overworld. The slow organ and sad melody convey the mood of the world perfectly.
