Help me make this guild a place you want to come and hang out. All suggestions and feedbacks are welcome and will be taken into consideration. Thanks. heart
My plans so far:
-A guild banner contest for the front page
-start a mentor program (when there's more active members)
-feature a different artist within the guild every week
-feature a different artist around the web every week
-have discussions about famous paintings/artists (ex: why is mona lisa so famous?)
-a toturial section

magaly the tutorial section is a great idea, as well as the mentor program i'm thinking that there should be a subforum just for the tutorial section, but the guild is poor right now, so we don't have any gold to buy more subforums. as the mentor program, we don't have enough active members at the moment so that might not work out so well right now.

i think there should be a section or thread about supplies
like what brands people have used and think are good [other than the obvious expensive brands].
and specific pens/paints/papers people use for seperate types of projects.

I'm not sure how this will work out, but I was thinking for the picture post everyone should have only one form to post their art in, it will keep if from being concumed by so many threads, and it will keep people more organised

horray! subforums! it is time, my children/gold, for you to actually serve a purpose instead of just sitting around and looking shiny. Go! create a subforum! woo hoo!

i think the forums could be better organized, since the point of this guild is for people to share their work, maybe the main forum should be dedicated just to that instead of people having to go to a seperecte section to see them. i think that keeps a lot of people from posting since the first thing you see in the guild has nothing or little to do with art.
and i also believe people should be limited to keeping ONE thread, or two. i don't think it makes much sense to make a new thread everytime you have a new piece you need critiqued. i think that would keep the spamming to a minimum once the guild grows a little more.

magaly, as usual, has a good point. i think we could save the whole one thread per person thing for when we've got more active members, but i think she's got a point about the whole "since the point of the guild is for sharing one's work, perhaps that should be the main forum" i dunno. i think it works fine as it is, but its a thought.

I love all of your ideas! Let me know if there is anything I could do to help! I check in here at least once a day, even if I don't post anything.
I think it would be cool to see a sticky thread where people could post inspiration and creative ideas to help combat artist's block. That way, there will be a great resource for everyone when they start getting stuck, plus we won't have a lot of threads asking "I have artist's block! What should I do?" like in the Art Discussion Forum. What do you think?
