In role playing, can we be someone other than a book character? Gion and Pontocho were full of geisha, and it has been a long time since I read the book.

Pumpkin's little tongue stuck out of her mouth as she finished her hard scrubbing on the wooden walk ways. She gathered up the rag and scrub brush, dropping both into the dirty water. She looked down into the floor to take one last good look at her work. Her round, baby face gleamed back at her with a crooked smile of satisfaction.
Now that she had finished her chores, it was time for homework. She quickly went into the back of the okiya and dumped the water dirty water on to the ground. She cleaned the brush and rag as throughly as she possibly could and placed them back where they belonged in the cupboard. She scrabbled up the stairs and gently took her shamisen into her hands. Little did she know that while she was tuning it, that another little girl was about to arrive.

Chiyo was near tears as she was shoved towards the strange house . She looked back and for the first time her and her sister thught the same thing. Yelling and screaming sloly a older woman dragged me into the house when the gate closed and the cart rode off I knew my life was over.

Pumpkin heard the yelling and screaming from downstairs. She quickly put her shamisend down and rushed over to the hall way. Causiously, she peeked out from behind the door way and watched Auntie take care of this new little girl.
'The first little girl I've seen in months!' She thought to herself as she watched silently.

The lady introduced herself as Antie and told me things not to do in mothers presence. Taking a deep breath Anutie shoved me along the hall till we got to mothers quters were the smell of Tomaco was strong.

Pumpkin stuck out her tongue, biting on it slightly she headed back upstairs. She listened and waited to see what else would happen. She hoped that Mother would accept this new girl. It would sure beat being Hatsumomo's personal slave! Plus, she would have someone to go to school with. Excitement filled her, however she kept bundled up inside until Mother had passed judgement.

The door slid open and a woman sat in a elegant Kimono. Anutie introdduced me and explained how old I was. "Only nine.." was mothers reply. Ushering me closer Mother inspected me and when I could hold it in no longer I blurted. "Were is my sister!", mother seemed starteld and rough turned my face to hers. "Look at me", she said in a deamding voice. Doing as I was told. "Too much water..", exclaimed Mother. Antute replyed for me, "But Okisa we won't have to worry about the Okiya burning donwn". Mother thought about it and then replyed. "I'ts to late to bring her back you may leave". then Antuie ushered me out of the room.

Pumpkin darted downstairs in a rush of little feet. She popped her head around the corner of the stairs to see what Auntie had to say.

Chyio walked along the middle of the hall with the Lady shuvving her along tot he stairs telling her to move along or mother will be sipleased.
