Leaches aren't that bad - not bad at all, actually.
I used to get leaches all the time in Florida.
When swimming down in Florida if a gator don't get you the leaches definitely will (even if the gators get you).

If you can't take leeches, never go farther south than North Georgia.
We thrive on leeches here.
