i have three questions for you guys, but let me preface it with this: i have never played KH or KH2 (but i will someday!) and i know very little about the storyline. now here are my questions. what is a heartless? what is a nobody? and what is the difference between the two?

Ok, I'll give you the scoop. Heartless are evil little buggers that are created when someone's heart turns comletely to darkness. Heartless are like zombies that steal peoples hearts. The small weak ones look like this. Weak ones.

They also come in many different enviroments, so they adapt.

When some one loses their heart, they leave a empty shell of a body behind. If they were strong in will there bodys may move with a will of their own. They are called Nobodies

Unlike the heartless however, Nobodies are smart. Heartless use their insticts. The orginization is made of very smart nobodies. Here's some piccys.

The big nobody is called "Twilight Thorn" (I only know this because I like looking at the enemies in the journal, nyeh.)

also, its both the body AND soul, according to the ansem reports in the second game.

So here's what -I- wonder. If a heartless is the incarnation of the darkness in someone's heart, and the nobody is the body and soul, then what becomes of the light part of someone's heart? I believe all three of these "pieces" are required to become whole again. That is, if the light part of someone's heart still exists when the heartless is created.

in the reports it is actually said that if the soul leaves the body, it disappears, but that if the heart leaves, the soul and body may act with a will of its own. Those who had a strong heart/will will be able to retain human form while those with a weaker heart/will become the lesser, inhuman types.

Though what you say is true, I believe that the Heartless are only manifestations of Hearts who were corrupted and taken by other Heartless. I believe that hearts return to the REAL Kingdom Hearts, the one from the first game. The Heartless, I believe, are simply the hearts TAKEN from the bodies, and that they only wish to feed on more hearts. I believe that the first Heartless came from a dying world, like the End of the World; which then would make sense. If worlds had hearts, and if Heartless are only manifestations of hearts, then they would come from dying worlds to feed on more hearts. MY question is this: Do you think that the Heartless and the Nobodies will eventually team up to reach Kingdom Hearts? That, and do you think that they could become 'whole' by merging together?
