 The tome before you belongs to Aiden Perry (Kyrianna) and Khalindra. There is a seal surrounding the book, one that allows you to leaf through the pages but prevents you from adding anything. The enchantment is strong and cannot be broken so easily, if at all. Personality:
Khalindra is two sides of a coin. In the day time, Khali is somewhat cranky, bratty, and all together unpleasant to be around unless she REALLY likes you. This stems from the fact that the sun's rays hurt her light-sensitive skin. This will fade as she grows used to UV rays and grows older. If she's under heavy clothing, an umbrella, or something that will somewhat cover her skin, she's a little less cranky than usual.
However, lately she's been adjusting to the sunlight a little better. She's willing to at least try to be pleasant. It stems from Aiden's evil eye.
On the other side of coin, night time, Khalindra can be of two different minds. Either calm, happy, and generally pleasant – or happy, hyper and bubbly with so much energy to expell that it's frightening. Thus, the girl's more active during the evening and night hours than morning and afternoon.
Reguardless of the time of day, Khalindra has a great love and thirst for knowledge and answers to questions that can never really be satisfactorily answered. Books, oral tales, magazines, and even billboards or the backs of cereal boxes are absorbed without hesitation (at least when she starts to read).
Khali has a natural fixation for anything celestial. Astrology and astronomy will most definitely be her later interests, and even as a baby she's one to reach out for the sky and stare at the stars. She also has a great love and thirst for knowledge and answers to questions that can never really be satisfactorily answered.

Scrying:
Khalindra, in her later years, will be able to scry using her ability to control water. Thus, the girl will be a great fortune teller. Though the answers she get will rarely, if ever, be clear. After all, life has many forks and things are never CERTAIN. She'll like to give what she sees in riddles. Or, using her Orb of Stars (Hopefully obtained through a quest in her later years?) Khalindra can search the stars for answers. After all, stars are eternal – there must be answers in there somewhere. Of course, stars do enjoy playing tricks (they DO wink at you, you know), therefore Khalindra may not always trust what she sees with her orb.
Heat & Cold Tolerance:
Khalindra is able to stand both extreme heat and extreme cold due to the coolness of the nighttime itself and the heat of stars at their birth.
Depending on her mood and temperament at the moment of power, Khali can either become extremely hot (Embarrassed, or scared?) or extremely extremely cold to the touch (Angry? Hurt?). These powers take energy from her and tend to leave her feeling more than a little drained at a younger age. As she gets older, the energy it takes isn't as heavy as it is when she's young (Older = More energy to expell. Younger, harder to control and less energy to have in a reserve.)
Star Birth:
Khalindra was a Star Gypsy. It was her job to birth stars and govern the constellations. It was her that gave life to stars, and it was her who took it away. Because of this, Khalindra can create stars in the palm of her hand, cooling or heating them to suit her whims. They are only a fraction of their size, and only a fraction as bright. They are miniatures rather than full blown stars. They have no real magical use and are mostly used for decoration.
If she wishes, she can imbue a star with a small fragment of her magic and make it a wishing star. These charms have a 1 in 50 chance of granting the wishes of the wearer.

More attention away from me. I mean, I don't really...MIND...not having all the attention but...Babies make daddy busy. And I miss daddy when he's busy. So I don't like him much, even if he is shiny.

...She's okay. She doesn't require as much attention from daddy as the twins do, thank heaven. But now she doesn't live with us anymore and I think I kind of miss her =(

Khalindra adores this boy. He was her first friend and she even gave up one of her shiny star barrettes as a gift to him. He said he'd help her learn to read, which made her giddy. Throughout Khali's short life, Armel has always been a good friend - her closest. When he father had no place to go, they moved in with him and his family and the two grew almost inseparable. Now that they're out of the house, Khalindra misses seeing him so much - but something has changed between them. There's a great fondness, and perhaps a little bit more than friendship as evidence by her first kiss, dutifully given by one Armel after a visit to a Renaissance Faire.
Update: 12/16/08
Armel asked to court her. It seems as though the two are now entering uncharted waters here.
Khalindra really likes Sylvester. Not only is he a giant plushie, he bought her a book. The first person, other than her father, to buy her something. Definitely scored points with the gypsy, especially when he kissed her hand.
Khalindra met Angelus in the stationary shop. He took her behind the door and to the play room. There he read to her and started to teach her how to sound out words. Khalindra really likes this boy, as well. Apparently she's making friends easier than I thought...

This young lady intrigues Khalindra. She doesn't know what it is about her. Honestly, she doesn't know whether or not she likes the princess. It's sort of neutral ground at the moment.

Aiden & Alex's apartment is actually quite big. It has three bedrooms, two, up until now, used for offices, and the other for Aiden & Alex's bedroom. The living room is spacious with a large fluffy couch in the center of the room, facing a large screen television.
Bookshelves (Via Aiden, mostly) are along the walls, brimming with both science books (Mostly Medical) and pleasure reading material. Random knick knacks are strewn throughout the shelves as well, giving it a nice homey feeling.
The kitchen is large as well, the surfaces gleaming with brand new chrome. There's an island in the center of it and off to the side is a table big enough to fit four people comfortably.

Khalindra's room is painted a dark navy blue with the constellations painted across the walls and ceiling. In the center of the room, against the wall, is a small little-girl sized bed made of dark stained wood with a canopy made of thin gauze. The sheets and comforter are dark blue with a star pattern, the pillows are white, and the canopy is a pretty silver and gold color.
To the right of the bed is a mahogony stained night stand matching the bed, and to the left, up against the other wall, is a long dresser that ends at the opening of a closet.
Around the room are plentiful windows, each fitted with heavy navy drapes to keep the sunlight from entering.
The floor itself is a stained hard wood that matches the rest of the furniture.
At the foot of the bed is a matching toy chest filled to the brim with plushies, dolls, and random toys. Across from said bed and toy chest, on the opposite wall, is a low book shelf filled with many different kinds of books.
Happy little lanterns hang from the ceiling, offering what little light Khalindra can handle without her skin becoming to sensitive. These lanterns are round dark-blue glass bowls with low-wat light bulbs in them. Alex wouldn't allow real fire. Ho hum.
Against one of the windows is a window seat, heavily padded with pretty silver cushions and a few star-shaped pillows.
And on the walls hang a multitude of hanging knick-knacks to make the room a happier place.
The entire room, obviously, is done in a celestial theme, which amuses Khalindra to no end. She even has a star mobile hanging from the canopy of her bed to help her get to sleep at night.
