Now, normally I don't bash the Horde, if bashing is the correct term for what I'm about to do, but there's another inconsistency I've noticed, involving the Orcs.

In general, Orcs shouldn't be Warlocks.
This isn't my opinion, so don't hurt me. *hides*
So I'll explain.

Back on the planet Dreanor, the Orcs were very shamanistic, and those crappy lil' Draenei were there too, I guess. Screw Draenei.
I digress.
The Orcs are misconcieved as bloodthirsty and ruthless. This was only the result of the fallen Titan Sargeras using one of the two demon races he had in his Legion to introduce fel magic, or Warlock magic, to the orcs. In addition, the orcs drank the blood of a Pit Lord, which cursed them. Only the Frostwolf Clan of Orcs declined.

Anywho, they became cursed, and corrupted, and used to attack Azeroth. The only good thing about this was the fact that they wiped out almost all of the Draenei. (So close!)

Then there were the wars, and Thrall grew up, and established the New Horde. In his reign, he declared any Orcs that used magic were to be punished by death, because he did not want his people corrupted again.

'Sides, the Undead should totally get the pet bonus, they seem more.. Warlock-y. mrgreen

Gnomes die first.

Well I guess it's like, some of them didn't wanna give up their demonic powers, so the other orcs were like, okay we don't trust you bitches much but as long as you keep the asshattery to a minimum and banish adds on Garr, we'll let you stick around.

Perhaps. Either way, Undead are the best at Walocking. They look like they fit the part, no? Here's how I see it:

Humans: Buff guy in robes = guy in dress
Gnomes: Too damn small to be able to enslave someone like Infernals.
Orcs: Known for bloodlust and ruthless combat. Magic doesn't seem to suit them. And they're buff.
Undead: Thin, wiry, creepy, distrusted by all except within their own.

I don't think Orc's should be rogues either... They're too Incredible hulk-ey. And they make my Lock look un-scary.

I think warlocks are ok.

Think of it this way

Rexxar is the champion of the horde, him and thrall established the orcs home on kalimdor and helped build orgrimmar

Rexxar is half orc half ogre

Ogres are techincally some of the first warlocks, with their eyes of kil'jadean and bloodlust (If you think about Warcraft 2)

Ogres are also alligned with the horde, hence the town in duskwallow marsh (Also being that rexxar is their new leader, after defeating the old one)

Im sure if thrall didnt want his people being warlocks he wouldnt of let the ogres in the horde, which would also include Rexxar, thrall's champion

I agree orcs look very weird when there locks and they are to big to be rogues so undead are the perfect match for the lock, being well...undead

my main problem with warlocks is, in Warcraft lore Warlocks are corrupt shamans, but in WoW they are more like corrupt mages.

I agree, I read somewhere that warlocks are mages that just specialise in death instead of just magic mastery.

Well you know, the skills of being a magician probably carried down the orc family tree, so their young recieved the trait. Besides, the orcs aren't corrupted anymore, and I'm assuming that without magic the orcs would die. HARD.
