I know I've only been here for a while, but it seems like this place is a ghost town... with SOME fans running around.... probably stealing apples. (Yeah I saw you!)

(Random questions: What made you like death note? Who got you into it?)

I've been here... I haven't been stealing apples though... really.... I'm telling the truth!
Anyway though, the reason I started reading Death Note 'cause well... I was just looking for something new to read and a friend of mine pointed me towards Death Note. I stayed up late into the night and read all the chapters that had been scanlated at the moment... and yeah, I got totally obsessed and decided that I wanted to tackle L and molest him -nods-

I can't remember how I first got to know about Death note.

Probably some famous Finns (among japanophiles, I mean. XD) were talking about that in their sites and so on and I wanted to check it out.
: D
Anyway, I think I read the scanlations up 'till 6th - or something - volume, but then it got so boring that I forgot the whole manga for a while.
(No politics for me! X______X)
But now I started reading it again as it's published!

Ahhh... my introduction to Death Note came in, like, stages. O_o First it was because I saw somebody's gallery on Deviantart that I liked and visited thier website, which was an L fansite. And apparently she was a fan of LxRaito... I got into Death Note thinkin' it was BL. XD XD But as most do, I promptly fell in love with L. I looked around the site, looked and looked and such. SO I consciously tried to remember the title, and looked for it in bookstores. This musta been two years ago, so naturally 'twas not liscenced. I ended up losing interest. Theeeeeeen I discovered Go-Devil-Dante's gallery at Deviantart, and watched the animations. I didn't get some of the jokes at the time, but ended up invariably finding out certian aspects of Death Note and getting a general feel for the plot. SO! When I heard that it had been liscenced, I was like "OMGYAY!" Except I did not say "Oh-Em-Gee-Yay." But I assume you got that. :] So! now I'm an avid Death Note fan. It's one of my favorite mangas.
... Second only to Prince of Tennis.
Further feuling my amusement that the design of Raito's outfit during the tennis scene is similar to that of Ryoma's in the beginning of the series before becoming a Regular.
Further, further feuling my amusement that there WAS a tennis scene in the first place.
XD THAT WAS LONG.

Wandering around the internet as i do so often, i stumbled across a few mentions of it, then it began to get popular with the people that i watched on deviantART (some girl posted a spoiler picture. I didnt get it at the time because i didnt know anything about DN, but i get it now and i wish i had it saved...) But since it was getting popular, i decided to look it up, and it just so happened that Shounen Jump (that my friend had) the first chapter in it. and it took off from there.

I sort of stumbled on Death Note actually...
I was browsing through some cosplay pics (I forget where) Okay, so anywho... I come upon this one cosplay... to me at the time it was strange, since it was of some guy with Eddy Scissorhands hair with some random white t-shirt and jeans. (Guess who?)
I click on the piccy, and read the series description: Death Note. So I google the title and come upon good 'ole Wikipedia. I read about the manga, and I was hooked. I had to read this manga. So I read a bit of it online, and loved it. :3

I can't remember an exact date but... probably late summer 2004 or some time around in there. I know it was when there wasn't much of Death Note out at all yet and since it was first published in January of 2004...

This one person from the IRC channel told me about Death Note, immediately after I downloaded volumes 1-6 and I've been addicted ever since....my poor hard drive... crying I didn't like the ending though...>.>

I can't remember an exact date but... probably late summer 2004 or some time around in there. I know it was when there wasn't much of Death Note out at all yet and since it was first published in January of 2004... I think... October 2005?

I can't even remember how I found out about Deathnote... I think I was looking for something different, I was just getting into scanlations, and Deathnote hadn't been scanlated very far... Anyway, I loved it as soon as I started reading it!

It was a friend of mine who gave me a tip. She said that she have been in love with DN. So I asked more about it (what is DN, where can I download them and so on). And yeah.. I was fascinated from the art! It was beautiful.. heart
