Yeah, the fangirls are all attracted to these, but so am I. I mean come on, how f%*#ing cute is Inu Yasha when he's taking care of Kagome? I swear, no coupling in any other anime has ever made me this squishy....

As a reader of fanfiction, I tend to dislike seeing the canon couplings, since, well, if I wanted to see that, I'd read the manga, so I like to see what strange and interesting things people do with non-canon, and even bizzare couples. Example, I want to see a Kikyou/Miroku pairing (only saw one, but it was terribly done); I adored the couple of Sesshoumaru/Sango pairings that I've read, and since I've been given to reading Yuri as well, the Kikyou/Sango pairing I've read was interesting.
Someone also wrote a Kikyou/Ranma pairing, crossing Inuyasha with Ranma 1/2, and I enjoyed that one a lot as well.
But yeah, I think that there is a lot of awsome dramatic potential to be seen in a Kikyou/Miroku pairing. But as I said, I like reading non-standard pairings because I get plenty of the standard stuff in the original Manga itself!
