Kobato is a story about a girl who wants to heal wounded people's hearts so she can fill magical bottle with people feelings. She has a strange blue dog named Ioryogi who looks like a stuffed animal, but is really very rude and mean to Kobato whenever she makes a mistake.

I've read the first chapter and skimmed through the second and third. It's a very cute manga. I can't wait to read more. Has anyone else read it? What do you think of it?

For those who haven't read it here is some places where you can get it:

I thought this seemed like a cute new series, too bad it hasn't been released in America yet. I was really happy to see Chitose back. 3nodding

I like Kobato. I've dl'ed the first four chapters, and I really fell in love with it simply for the fact that it has Chitose, she's using Mihara as her last name finally (YAY), and Elda and Freya are there and really Chitose's kids!

Is it just me, or does Kobato look like Sakura with longer hair in the back?

i like kobato a lot. i've read one chapter, and have 2 chapters on my computer, and it's cute. the drawings are gorgeous as usual (suki being clamp's only exception) and that dog plushie/monster/thing is awesome. ^.^

I heard that Clamp put Kobato on hold....... gonk
Which sucks because it will become the fourth manga that Clamp stopped doing without finishing.

not true--
for X, i found out the true true reason. before, i thought it was just because it was too violent...but theres a bit more reason to it too... CLAMP had this interview thingy...
copied and pasted off some site:
__________________________________

"X" is your longest-running series, but it's currently on hiatus.

Ohkawa: The situation right now is that, due to the graphic nature of our planned ending, getting it published in a magazine is very difficult.

Mokona: Over the 10-odd years that we've been working on "X," we've gone on hiatus several times, and each time, societal incidents and trends have been a major factor.

Igarashi: The biggest ones being the Hanshin Earthquake, and the Sakakibara Incident.

Ohkawa: When the Hanshin Earthquake hit and so many peoples' lives were lost, there was a lot of debate, not just within the group but also with our editors, about whether or not we were going to continue using earthquakes as a motif.

Nekoi: I still remember waking up and turning on the TV, and being unable to believe what had just happened. Several people I knew perished in that quake.

Ohkawa: We received a letter from a person residing in Kobe at the time, saying that they "couldn't bear to read [X]," which really made us ponder our future.

Mokona: When the Sakakibara incident occurred, the concern was regarding gruesome imagery used in the manga. Regardless of how liberal a manga magazine "ASUKA" was, the multiple beheadings we portrayed in X were going to raise flags.

Ookawa: We had had several discussions with the editorial staff about how perhaps we needed to make changes to the central themes in the manga and how we portrayed them, but we had still managed to gain the understanding of various people and work through them. But, we were then told that it may not be possible for our publisher to serialize the ending we had planned. If that was true, it would mean that we would have to write a different ending to the story in order to have it published. Excluding cases where the magazine we were serialized in folded, we have never quit on a series before (though we may have gone on hiatus), so obviously we definitely want to work on "X" until completion, but currently that's looking very difficult. But, regardless of what form it takes, we want to write up a conclusion to the story.

However, I want to make it very clear that none of what transpired is the publisher's fault; on the contrary, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for being tolerant and willing to publish "X" for all this time. We will continue to search for solutions and hold discussions with our publisher, so I hope that you will grant us a little more time yet.
_____________________________________________

the three others, i guess, have sorta "stopped", but about Legal drug, i think its just a temporary hiatus--after all, CLAMPs working on, like 2-3 manga right now. i've already found out how hard it is to make even a one shot, so even though they're pros, it must be pretty hard. CLOVER--the magazine it serialized in, shall we say, "died". therefore, the series did too. CLAMP did say that if there was a chance to pick up where they left it, they'd jump for the chance, though...
what was the third one, by the way? confused

anyhoo--
about kobato.
its supposed to be a "series within series" sort of manga. im not sure how to explain it, so you can just try to find the post chibi yuuto-sama typed up about it...
