I wish we could've gone somewhere for a competition. I mean, we went on a trip where we performed at several different places, but still... the only competition we went to was District Music Festival.
My school kind of favored the instrumental music. ._.

yes theres this thing called MICCA i forgot what it stands for my guess: Massachusettes International Chorus Competition Assessment i think the I and A are wrong but watever
but theres this one which comes up April 2nd, its the one i know where we get to make a stop at 6 flags afterwards whee but this competition isn't as serious as MICCA, its more of like a thanks-for-coming-heres-a-gold judging

We have UIL every year, Solo & Ensemble and your usual choir performance/sight-reading thing, and then sometimes we go on a choir trip to go and compete. Last year the choir went to Orlando, Florida (I didn't go, couldn't afford it), and this year we're going to San Antionio, Texas (I'm going to that one, it's down the highway-I live in Dallas area) and we leave on April 15th!
Oh, and UIL is tomorrow, wish us luck!

We didn't even do that stuff when I was in a choir. ._.
Just sang at crappy music festivals (with elementary school students, I might add).
I always wanted to, though.

I have All Region tryouts Saturday. I'm singing soprano 1, and I have to hit a G. Not too bad. Last year, I got a horrible cold the week of tryouts, but still got 10th chair. *wishes for 1st chair this year*

My school just brought our two selective choirs to NYSSMA, New York State Student Music Association, or something. Our Chorale got a gold medal, the second-highest rating, and our Jazz Choir (w00t!), got gold with distinction, the highest rating. whee
