Yes what the title says is true. I made a Sun and Mirage tribute RP to honor one of my favorite couples. Its not quite finished yet but check back every once in a while and some more might be added to it. 3nodding You may even see one of your horses in there at one point in time. If you've ever RPed with Sun and Mirage when they were younger then you will probably be in here as well.
Enjoy!

HORSES Sunchaser Sunchaser was my first horse that I recieved at WHR and I love her to death. She was raised at the ranch with her parents Averti' and Luck and her siblings Draumr' and Aurora. Sun became fast friends with Tie and Racer's boy Mirage and they were together their whole childhood until they finally became mates. Sun and Mirage now have four children; Flare, Isis, Nova and their adopted daughter Aqua. Recently they also adopted Sahara. More kids in the future maybe?Herd: Mirage and Sunchaser Aqua Aqua was only a small rock when Sunchaser and Mirage took her in and she lived a good childhood with her family. When she was older she found out that they had adopted her and it struck her pretty hard but soon she learned to accept it and still loves her family. Aqua met an angel named Abarat and they had children together but he ended up leaving her and didn't come back. She was devastated and left to raise her two boys by herself. Luckily Cheveyo welcomed her into his herd and they have been a great help to her. She has also come to love Cheveyo and he had accepted her children as his own.Herd: Cheveyo and Aqua Flare Flare was a very energetic little rock and was always getting into trouble. As a foal, Flare met Lightning, a little energetic filly. Their friendship started off as a bunch of competitions as to who could run the fastest and whatnot. As they grew so did their relationship and now they are together with nothing to separate them. They plan on having children sometime in the near future but for now they have an adopted son, Razul.Herd: Flare and Lightning Crimson Crimson was once at the ranch with a different owner but then the owner gave him to me for proper caring. He started off as a big flirt, and even got in trouble with Mirage for hitting on Sunchaser. But then he straightened up and joined Mirage and Sun's herd and even found himself a girfriend named Gabriella. They had three children too named Tama, Kalani and Lucifer.Herd: Mirage and Sunchaser Sapphire Sapphire has been through some hard times in his life as a child. He was made fun of for his name sounding girly, he had nowhere to call home and he had no family. He grew up alone. Then he met a mare named Maggie and she was the answer to his prayers. There was a time when he liked both Isis and Maggie but then he chose Maggie. They had a rough start in their relationship but they made it through the hard times. But the happy times were soon to change. They took in a small rock as their child and his name was Steel, the brother of Racer...and one of the sons of the demon mare, Macha. Steel hated Sapphire and their family even broke up because of it but the angel came back and soon befriended Steel. Maggie and Sapphire were captured by men and they shot Maggie in the neck, but luckily she survived. Hopefully the family can come back together even after the tradgedy but Steel left and he and Maggie got into a fight. Now it's just him and her.Herd: None Valor Valor mostly lives at the house with me and helps take care of the chores. She's a big help too. When Valor first came here she met General and it's a good thing they hit it off because Lys and I had planned to put them together anyway. They love each other and have been together ever since.Herd: None Kalani Kalani is the daughter of Crimson and Gabriella and was a bit hyper as a rock. Her brother Lucifer was always teasing her but they loved each other either way. As a rock, Kalani met one of Maui and Roy's adopted boys, Cobin. They were best friends, even after Kalani found out what Cobin's dad did to Flare, whom she considered an uncle. Kalani has now moved into Maui and Roy's herd to be with Cobin, now that they're together.Herd: None Razul Razul was adopted by Lightning and Flare when he was a rock. He lived out with his parents on their herd grounds but they moved to Selene's house for the Winter since there was no food. Around Christmas time, Razul met his first and only friend FireStarter. She helped him gather up last minute Christmas presents for his parents so they got to spend a lot of time together. He started to really like Fire and when he finally grew up he told her of his feelings and lucky for him, she felt the same. Fire and him are now together and living in Flare's herd.Herd: Flare and Lightning Holly Holly is a bratty b***h, to put it short. She loves to make others miserable and make their lives harder than it should be. Especially messing with Valor.Herd: None Akio Akio is one of Aqua and Abarat's children but since he was only a rock when his real dad left, he considers Cheveyo his father. He loves to fly with his good friend, Ireland and his parents also have plans for him to become a guard for the herd.Herd: Cheveyo and Aqua Lila Lila is definately a different one compared to the rest of the bunch. Instead of liking stallions she likes mares. Yes and she's already found someone she likes! Tiva has worked her way into the mare's heart. She has learned to accept that Tiva wants more than one mate and she'd rather share her then not be with her at all. Besides, Rauken and Donny aren't all that bad...For being stallions.Herd: None Deja Vou Deja is Lady and Draumr's son. Not much is known about him yet but he is blind in one of his eyes.Herd: None Azane Azane is one of the only pair of twins so far at WHR. His sister Azure looks exactly like him and it would be very difficult to tell them apart. Azane tries to look after his sister as well as he can since they were both abandoned at a young age.Herd: None Kazuo Nothing known about him yet.Herd: None

FAMILIARS Twilight Twilight is definately a hyper little critter. She has a short attention span too. She became good friends with the cougar Mikhael and another fox named Tanna.

This is a tribute to mine and Sky's best couple, Mirage and Sunchaser ^^ It shows how they met and all their adventures they had before reaching adulthood. Sun and Mirage RP Mirage-Foal, Sunchaser-Foal and guestarring Crimson (at the time RPed by Naysha)) Mirage was poking his head around the trees, though, he looked a tad paler in color.Sun walked out of the stables and spotted a foal that looked close to her age. She walked down to him, "Hi" she said to Mirage. Mirage looked up as Sun apprached, and nickered a greeting. Hello. Haven't seen you around before? "I just hatched from my rock yesterday. Maybe you know my brother Draumr' or my sister Aurora. My name's Sunchaser but I go by Sun for short", she said smiling. He nodded as she mentioned Draumr'. I actually met him earlier today. We were playing. So, how does it feel to have four legs and lots of room?Much better I didn't think I could wait any longer I wanted out so badly. It feels good to run and jump around"she replied jumping a little. He whinnies in laughter. You want to play?Sun nodded excitedly, "Sure!". She hadn't gotten to play at all since breaking out from her rock. She had been to worried about her mom. What would you like to play? I play a good game of tag. Mom also made me a ball though that I can kick around. it's really fun to play with. It's your choice.Sun tilted her head, "Tag? What's that?". From how it's been explained to me, you run around chasing each other. One is chasing the other, and when they touch the one that they're chasing, they turn around, because it's the others turn to chase... or something like that. He was excited just thinking about it, his ears swivvling in all directions, and his front hoof stamped in exciement as he explained the game. My mom has played it with me before. That's how I know how to play. "Sounds fun! Who chases first?", she asked getting excited too. How about I chase you first, and then you can chase me. He shakes himself then, so happy to have another one like himself to play with, and a cloud of white raises from him. She nodded, "Okay!". Sun then turned and ran off through the field. He whinnied in joy; kicking up his heels as he headed after Sun. Sun continued running and headed down into the meadow. She whinnied in delight. Mirage followed her, getting in on her side as she got near the meadow, and tapped her with his muzzle. Quickly, he stopped, and turned on heel, getting as much distance as he good before she started to chase him; bucking slightly. She turned as quickly as she could and ran after him her excitment building. As she was chasing him she stumbled over her own feet and landed on the ground. "Ow". He stopped, and turned to notice that his friend wasn't behind him. He trotted back, and nosed her on the shoulder. Hey, are you alright? Sun looked up at Mirage. "Yeah I think so", she said standing slowly. "Guess I'm still getting used to my legs". He nods. Yes, the first few days are the hardest. I couldn't walk straight the first day I was out. Sun touches her nose to Mirage's, "You're the chaser now!". She laughed and ran past him. He squealed in delight, and took off after her. He couldn't believe how much fun he was having. It was great to have a friend to play with. He continued to chase, steering her in the direction of the barn. He was hoping he would be able to corner her around there somewhere. Sun kept running and started toward the barn but skidded to a stop and ran to the side. Why would I go in there? It's a dead end She thought to herself still running. He put on a burst of spead, so that she had the barn on one side, and he infront of her. She didn't see him until he was a few feet in front of her. She tried stopping but it was too late she had run straight into him knocking both of them down. "Ow not again! I'm sorry Mirage I guess I'm a little clutzy today".Mirage laughed. He wasn't going to tell her that he sensed a few bruises coming on. But all in the name of fun. That's alright. I got infront of you. It was my fault. Crimson had traveled further from his home then normal. The smell of food soon blushed against his muzzle. Lifting his head to get a clearer sniff he followed the smell. Soon he came upon a barn of which he took to be a strange rock formation. Smelling others of his kind he became more weary of his surrounds. He aproached the barn slow yet steady ready to take off or stand and fight and the slightest sign of an unfriendly nature. He came upon a fence which he took to be strange growing trees. "Where am I?" he whispered then resuming the search for food. Just then he could hear the sound of his kind, but they sounded small. He peeked around the corner of the barn with cation spotting the two foals, but he kept quite hoping the foals wouldnt call for their parents. Mirage managed to untangle himself from Sun, However when he looked up, he saw a stranger peaking his head around the corner of the barn. He was an adolescent instead of an adult; the first one he had come across. Crimson stared the foal in the eyes for a moment before shaking his head and snorting. He turned his head vanishing back behind the barn. Crimsom was not sure if he should continue his search or just high tail it out of there. His belly over ranked his brain at the moment so he found his way into the barn. He looked at the strange stables within the first one was emty , but had food in it. Crimson went for it, but ran into a door. He kicked at it lightly not wanting to make much noise. Now he really was currious about what the strange horse was doing. He entered throught the doors on the other side of the barn, and watched as the stranger kicked at the door. It's easier if you move the latch.. he said, as if to himself. Sun stood up and looked at the stranger. She was very shy around older strangers and took a step back keeping her head low. Crimson kicked a few more times till he heard the foal and turned to look. "What do you want?" Crimson said gruffly giving a glance back at the door blocking his way to the food. Mirage saw Sun take a step back, then turned back and nuzzled her reasurringly. Nothings going to happen. It's alright. He stepped back to the front of the barn, between the adolescent and Sun. I was just saying that you might want to pull the latch, instead of kicking the door in. But, if you want to kick the door in, I'm sure that would make the owner of this ranch unhappy with you.Sun looked at Mirage and nodded slightly, "Okay". "Ranch?Door?Latch?Owner??Kid what are you talking about?" Crimsom took a few steps fowards and leaned his head down as a sign that he meant no harm towards them. Sun still din't trust this stranger so she stayed back behind Mirage. He took a few steps towards the adolescent, still keeping himself between the stranger and Sun. He motioned to the stall door nearest him. Reaching up with his mouth, he pulled the latch on the door towards him, unlocking it, and causing it to swing open. Much easier then kicking it in. Sun nudged Mirage a little. "Maybe we should go and leave him be", she whispered. "You think your smart." Crimson snorted then entered the stall keeping one leg outstreached so they couldnt shut the door on him. He begain to stuff the food into his mouth quite happly till he was full. "Thanks kid." he said walking towards the way he came in. Crimson glanced at the little female foal. "Dont worry Im leaving.Hey kid your not going to send your parents after me are ya?" Crimson snorted. She didn't answer him and took another step back nudging Mirage again. Crimson stared at the foal wondering why she was so frightened. ~I guess I cant blame her~ He thought. Mirage looked at Sun, and nodded and backed away. Why would I want to? You're just a rude adult. no wonder no one is with you. Who would want to be? He snorted at the stranger, turning away to go back outside with Sun. Sun turned and headed outside with Mirage. "Should we tell our parents?"Mirage nodded to sun. They should know that a stranger came and ate the food, so they can at least replace the food that was taken.Crimson watched the foals leave. His eyes twiching slightly at the sharpness of the foals words. He peered his head the barn watching them go. "I didnt choose to be this way and Im still just a kid too." he whispered. His eyes watered lightly before he shook his head. "What would a foal know anyway!" he shouted before trotting off abit before going into a slow walk his head low and his hoves dragging. She looked back at him, "For some reason he seems upset. I wonder why". Mirage looked over at the stranger as well. I don't know. I wonder why he doesn't have a herd yet. Or a home. Sun felt a little guilty for making the stranger sad. She nudged Mirage, "Maybe we should go apologize". Crimsom stopped and stood silent for a moment before turning to look back at the strange place. He noticed the foals looking at him and he let out a whinny that seemed to mean sorry. He pinned his ears back and snorted turning to go back to his search. That decided Mirage. He nodded over to Sun, and then trotted over to the stranger. Hey, wait! he called. Sun trotted after Mirage. Crimson stopped and turned to the on comming foal. "Yes?" Crimson asked resisting to add something stupid. I didn't mean to sound so mean back there in the barn. I'm sorry. It's just, we don't often see strangers around here. we were currious... He looks towards Sun, wondering if he should go on. She nodded for him to go on if he had more he wanted to say. "I..I'm sorry too for being a little...over shy", she said her head down low. "Dont worry about it. I understand your just foals. You didnt know what you said could hurt me soo." Crimson said his manner seeming more calm. "And there is nothing wrong with being shy." Mirage fidgetted. He wanted to ask; his curriosity was begging for it, but he didn't want to seem rude. he didn't know this horse after all. Sun noticed Mirage acting a little strange. She nuzzled him trying to figure what was wrong. "What is it kid? Your more shaky than a rattlesnake." Crimson said looking the foal over. Not wanting to seem rude, but... he took a breath. Why don't you have a home? Why isn't your family taking care of you? Why do you have to borrow other peoples food? Sun had the same curiousity and looked up at the adolecent. Crimson averted his gaze from the foal. "Hmm well Im not sure how to anwser that. As long as I can remember Ive been alone. Ive never known my parents or a herd. I remember that I once had parents, but I dont remember what happened to them. The food part well Im not good at finding food on my own so I steal when ever I can." well, if you don't have a home, that's easy to remidy! he said excitedly. I'm sure mom would take you in! She's nice like that. She doesn't even yell at me when I get in the flower. If you don't want mom, I'm sure if you talked to the owner of the Ranch, she would let you stay. And all the others that live here are all nice. They'd keep you. You don't have to be alone anymore. His eyes glowed with excitement as if he had just solved all the problems of the world. Sun laughed a little, "You like to solve problems don't you Mirage?". Crimson smiled at the foal. "Sometimes things arent that simple. I doubt your parents will allow me to stay although a mom would be nice.Hey you never told me what an owner was. And why would your mom yell at you for rolling in flowers?" Crimson was curious, but didnt want to get his hopes up. He looked a the other foal and then relized something. "Oh my name is Crimson Ashes, you can call me Crimson." Sun looked at Crimson, "My name's Sunchaser, Sun for short", she said smiling slightly."Im glad your warming up to me Sun." Crimson laughed. Sun nodded, "Don't feel bad..I'm like that around everyone that I don't know. Except for Mirage. For some reason I just went right up to him without even knowing him but we turned out to be good friendsMy name is Mirage. Puffs his chest out proudly. An Owner is someone who looks after you and takes care of you. They aren't like us though. They have two legs, and they are the ones that build the structures like the barns and what not. The owner of the ranch takes care of all of us. She's really nice. She doesn't like it when we're sick and stuff. He gives a foalish grin to Crimson. And as for the flour...He shakes himself, and another white cloud emerges, revealing his coat as a little darker underneath. That's the flour that I went rolling in. It's a white poweder that the owners use I guess to help make their food. But it makes me... He sneezes hard. ...sneeze. but it's fun to roll in. You can change your color with this stuff! "An owner sounds like a parent. Two legs how do they stand up? Barn? You mean the owner made that wierd rock?" Crimson smiled he loved learning new things. Crimson jumped back abit when he shook. "You.........looked like you were on fire cause you were smoking." Crimson yawned streached abit. Sun sniffed the white cloud and sneezed. "Maybe it's a sneezing cloud?".Mirage kindof shrugged. All I know is, it's fun to get on, but not so easy to get off. He couldn't help it. He yawned. Turning to Sun, he motioned to the barn. Do you want to sleep in there, or at my house? Crimson yawned again. "Thanks for everything you two. Im going to sleep Ive traveled quite a way. Ill be over here, just ask your parents if its ok if I stay." Crimson walked to the edge of the land and lay down to go to sleep. "How bout your house. I haven't been in a house before only the stables. What's it like?", she asked curiously. It's neat. I think you'll like it.Mirage couldn't wait to show it to Sun. He headed for the porch, and beside it there was a pile of sheets and blankets and such, to pad it. He lay down on that, leaving room for Sun, laid his head and neck out straight, and fell asleep. Sun followed him onto the porch and yawned. She layed down on the blankets beside Mirage and quickly fell asleep.
Sunchaser-Foal, Mirage-Foal Sun walked around outside and saw some apples up in a tree. She jumped and jumped but was too short to reach one.Mirage walked away from the house; dripping. he had gotten into another can of paint, and had just gotten it washed off. He still felt very green though, literally, as some of it couldn't get washed out of his coat. Sun had worn herself out from jumping for the apples. She layed down and saw Mirage but he looked different. "Hey Mirage", she called to him. He nickered a greeting. Hello Sun. pretty day, isn't it? Sun nodded, "Yeah it is". She paused still looking at him, "You look different".I had a can of paint hit me again. Green. Sun stood and tilted her head. "Paint? What's paint?" He motioned to the barn. It's used to change the color or something like that. it smells horrible, and it tastes worse."Oh okay. What do you want to do? We could play tag again or go down to the stream or....lots of stuff" I chose yesterday. Why don't you choose today? Make it even.Sun looked up at the apples high in the tree again. "Well I was trying to get an apple but I'm too short", she said jumping up again but still can't reach. He looked at the tree. Can I try?She nodded, "Sure but it's really high".Mirage nodded. However, he turned and kicked the tree a few times. All that it did was shake a bit. When that didn't work, he trotted away. As he reached another tree, he spun on his heels, running as fast as he could. He lept for the lowest apple, hanging off one of the side branches. He misses the apple, but hits the branch hard enough to shake one apple lose.Sun looked at the apple shaken loose. "Good job Mirage", she said smiling. He stood a little straighter; proud of his accomplishment.Sun nudged the apple over to him, "Here you earned it". He shook his head, and nudged it back to her. I got it for you. But how about we share it? She smiled, "Okay". Sun ate half of the apple and pushed the other half to Mirage. "Thanks". He leaned down, and ate his half of the apple, licking his lips after he was done. He loved the sweet flavor. "How bout we go down to the stream for a drink. If you want?". A drink sounds good. Come on! I'll race you! "Okay. Ready. Set. Go!", she took off running down towards the stream. He quickly took after her, keeping pace with the filly he was chasing. He was never happier then when he had someone to do something with, and to play with. Sun continued running as they reached the stream at the same time. "Okay it's a tie", she said laughing and breathing heavily. Alright he replied, panting. Then he stepped forward, placing his feet in the water, lowered his head, and went to take a long drink. Sun did the same and then flipped water up at Mirage with her nose laughing. He shook his head when the water hit him. Hey! he exclaimed in surprise. However, he gave her a mischevious look, and turned around and kicked, sending water back at her. Sun laughed and ran around in the stream kicking up water everywhere. Trying to hit Mirage most of the time. He whinnies in laugher, and plunges after her; chasing her around the stream Sun continues running around the stream. AFter a little while she tires herself out, "Hey maybe we should head back up. It's getting kinda dark". He stops, and looks around. But there are all sorts of neat creatures and things that come out when night falls."Like what?", she asked curiously.Well, for one, there are these little bugs that glow, and they zoom all around the fields like moving stars. There are also these flowers by moms house that only bloom at night, and they smell really good, and their blooms are as big as my head! he told her, his blue eyes glowing in excitement. There are so many, and I haven't found them all yet. "Well my mom and dad might wonder where I am but I guess I could. It sounds pretty at night". We won't leave the ranch yard, I promise. I can show you those star-bugs from the fence, and we can go to the back side of my home to see the flowers. Come on! Lets go see the flowers first! He splashed out of the water, running off towards the house and letting the soft evening breeze dry him off. Sun ran out of the water following him, "You seem really excited about this".He nodded as he ran. Yes, I am. You'll understand when you see them. They are amazing to watch open. I think you'll love them. They're so pretty, and they really do smell good. And as soon as the sun rises, they close up again. This Rp didn't really get finished cause I poofed >.<Mirage-Foal, Sunchaser-Foal and guestarring Sky. Oh No... Mirage thought, shaking his head. He had really done it to himself this time. His feet were tangled in a rope that he had been playing with, which had snagged on a fence and pulled tight, and now he litterally had his legs tied. All he could manage to do was hop, and take little tiny steps. Though, he was surprised he handn't fallen over yet.Sun was walking around through the field still waking up. She was also looking for her family and Mirage. He prayed no one would see him like this. It was absolutely embarasing. He reached down and tried to loosen the rope with his teeth somehow.Sun kept walking down the field and then spotted Mirage. She ran down to him happy she found him. "Hey Mirage. What happened to you?". He could have happily died right there from embarasement, as he saw Sun running towards him. As he raised his head and was about to answer her, he lost his blance, and toppled over onto his side with a loud Oof! Sun walked over and started pulling on the ropes. She pulled so hard that when her teeth slipped she fell back onto the grass. "Geez Mirage what did you get yourself into?".He shook his head, watching as she fell. Rope Sun stood up, "Maybe I'll go get someone to help. I'll be right back". She took off running up the field and disappeared over the hill. Sun remembered the person that helped her mother maybe she could help Mirage. She walked up onto Wolf's porch and hit the door with one of her hooves trying to get someone's attention. I'll be here he called, laying his head down. Oh boy. If mother caught him like this, he would never live it down. Sun ran off of Wolf's porch and looked around. There was no one in sight. She ran back to Mirage, "I couldn't find anybody".That only leaves one option... Run to my house. Get Mom.She nodded and ran up towards Sky's house. When she reached the porch she hesitated. I have never met her before..but Mirage needs help She thought to herself before walking onto the porch and hitting the door with her hoof. She heard a rapping at the door, and she went to open it, revealing someone she did not expect. "Oh. Hello there." Her blonde hair was pulled back in a braid that rested over her shoulder. She wore a loose blue t-shirt, and grey jeans. Blue and white sneakers were on her feet. Currently, she was drying her hands on a faded orange dishtowel.Sun nudged her and ran off the porch. She looked back at Sky hoping she would get the idea to follow her. "Where's your friend?" Sky asked, watching the filly run off the porch, and look back at her. "He would probably play with you."Sun ran back onto the porch and nudged her a little harder this time. She ran off the porch and went a little farther before looking back at Sky again. She watched the filly run off again, and wondered if maybe she didn't just want to play. In fact, now that she thought about it, she hadn't seen Mirage all morning. "Did Mirage get himself into trouble again? Is that what you want me to come help with?"She whinnied in reply and ran down the field. She threw the dish towel into the house, and ran after the filly, wondering what her young colt had gone and gotten into now.Sun continued running now that she had Sky following her. She ran down to Mirage, "I got her. Took her forever to understand me though".Mirage smiled at her. Thank you Sun Then, he saw mom coming, and waited.Sky stopped as she came upon the scene of the filly standing before a very tied up Mirage, and she gave a sigh at the colt, though she was smiling at him. "Mirage, I wish that you, for once, would not get into so much trouble."Sun nuzzled Mirage, "You're welcome". She then tugged on the ropes and nudged Sky signaling to untie him. Sky reached down and stroked the fillies ears. "It's okay girl. I'll get him out." She knelt at Mirage's side, and reached into her back pocket. Pulling out a flip-knife, she flicked it open, and started sawing at the ropes. Sun's ears perked forward as she watched Sky cutting the ropes around Mirage. She tilted her head curiously wondering what the strange thing is. Finally, she was able to cut the rope free of him. Switching the blade closed, she placed it back in her pocket. Sitting back on her ankles, she watched the colt struggle to his feet. "Mirage. For once in your life, stay out of trouble." She winked at him and ruffled his mane.Mirage ducked backwards, grinning at his mother. I will, he nickered in reply, watching as she walked back to the house. Sun watched Sky leave and looked back at Mirage. "What was that thing that got the ropes off you?", she asked still curious. I don't know. But it hurts when you touch it. I was sniffing it at one point, at my nose hurt. "I'll ask my mom or dad later maybe they know what it is. Well now that you're out of the rope what should we play?". I'm not sure. I've been bound in a rope all morning though, so I need to stretch my legs. Sun touches her nose against Mirage. "You're it!", she said before running up the grassy hill.I'm going to get you! he called after her, chashing her. He was a bit slow on the takeoff though, as his hooves and ankles were numb. Sun jumped as she ran having fun playing tag again. She ran around the side of the barn trying to get away from Mirage. Mirage went to follow her, but he wasn't quite up to the turn. His back feet slipped, and he went down, crashing onto his side and rolling. Sun stopped and looked back at Mirage who had fallen. She trotted over to him, "You okay Mirage?".He nodded. Yes. My feet just got out from under me. That's all. He struggled back up to his feet, and shook himself. That one didn't get finished either since Gaia was being all weird that day.Sunchaser-Foal, Mirage-Adolecent Mirage had his nose burried in a large clump of sweet grasses, enjoying the flavor. He was proud of how he looked now, and coudln't wait to show Mom Sun was having another one of her evergy bursts she was running around the field as fast as she could go. Turning a corner she came face to face with Mirage but he was different, bigger to be exact, he had grown. She just looked at him wide eyed as if he was a different person. Mirage looked up as he heard familiar hoofbeats, and nickered a greeting to his friend. He stopped in mid greeting though, as he found her looking at him as though he was a stranger. What is it Sun? What's wrong?"You...you grew", she said still surprised. He nodded. It was going to happen. It always does. You'll grow here too at some point as well. And you'll be as big as I am. He lowered his head a bit so it was even with hers. And it's a lot easier to get apples like this, he told her with a grin and a wink."But you're older now and older horses don't play with me. My parents don't and now you won't either", she said sadly lowering her head. He stepped forward and nuzzled her. I'm not that old Sun. I still want to play with you. I'm just a little bigger then I was before. Sun looked up at him. "You do? You would still play with me?". He nods again. Yes. I'll still want to play with you. You're my friend. Sun smiled and nuzzled him. "Thanks Mirage". Nuzzles her back. You're welcome. So, what are you doing right now? Do you want to play? Sun nodded, "Sure what should we play?". He gave her a grin. Tag? He winks. Sun pushed him with her nose, "Catch me if you can!". She took off running towards the barn. He went trotting after her, making sure not to go go too fast, because his legs were now longer. Sun ran into the barn. She knew it was a dead end but she had a plan to outsmart Mirage. Mirage was currious why Sun would corner herself, but he followed anyway; currious. Sun was no where to be seen but the hay on the floor was scattered around. The pattern of it showed little hooves scrambling into a stall.Mirage snuffled around in the floor, smelling Sun's scent, but also a lot of hay. He stood still in the center isle, between the stall, and was perfectly still; waiting for any sound that would give her away. Sun was clever enough to make it look like she had gone into the stall but was hiding by the entrance. She started creeping out to make a break for the door. When she finally thought she was close enough to run she jumped forward. She didn't realize her foot was caught in some rope hanging from a self that pulled a whole pile of tools down on top of her as she jumped forward. Mirage turned quickly to see what created the noise, and saw Sun dissapear beneath a pile of tools. He quickly went over to the pile, and started pushing things aside. Sun! Are you okay? Sun stood slowly feeling very foolish. "Yeah I'm fine". She walked out of the barn with a slight limp. Mirage followed, still concerned over the fact that his friend was limping Sun kept limping and finally layed down in the shade of a tall apple tree. Mirage watched as she lay down. Do you want me to get mother? How badly does your leg hurt? I'm sure she could help. "It only hurts a little. You can get her if you want to", she said laying her head on the soft grass. He wasn't sure what to do. He wanted to help her, but he also didn't want to leave her. He stood there for a moment, undecided, then trotted off. When he got an apple tree with apples on it, he reached his head up, and grabbed an apple, thne trotted back to her. He placed it in front of her, and then tucked his front feet below him, and laid down beside her. An apple should help. I know you like them. Sun smiled and took a bite of the apple. "Thank you". She nuzzled Mirage and rested her head against him yawning slightly. He nuzzled her back. You should get some sleep. You've had a long day.Sun nodded and yawned again. She shifted her weight and stretched out her injured leg so she wasn't laying on it. "You should sleep too", she said leaning against him. I will, he replied, nuzzling her shoulder. But you lay down first. And go to sleep. Then I will. I promise. "Okay",Sun said sleepily and layed her head down again. After a few minutes she fell asleep snuggled up next to Mirage. Mirage smiled down at her after she had fallen asleep and had snuggled again him. He leaned down, nuzzling the shoulder of her wounded leg, as if to make sure for himself that she was really going to be okay. Then he also put his head down, and closed his eyes; drifting off to sleep like his friend had. Sun- Foal, Mirage-Adolecent Mirage paced around the ranch yard. There was a storm on the wind. he could feel it. He lifted his head to the wind, testing it; watching the flashes of light on the horizon, and the faint rumbling that followed. The rumbling made Sun jolt up and look around. She creeped out from under Luck's head and stood at the doorway to the stables. Walking down a little bit there was another flash and it startled her causing Sun to run around the yard whinnying. Mirage didn't flinch at the flashes of light. He did, however, watch as Sun dashed out of the barn, and he ran to get beside her, to stop her before she hit something running around in the dark as she was, and frightened ontop of it.Sun couldn't see that well but felt a horse nearby. Not knowing it was Mirage she backed away from him and started running again. He turned on heel, and cut her off again. Don't Sun. You never know what's laying around in the yard. If you keep running, you could hurt yourself. he told her.She stopped and listened to his voice. "M..Mirage? Is that you?", she asked still frightened by the storm.Mirage nuzzled her. Yes. It's me. I was out for a walk when I saw you run. I didn't want you to get hurt.Sun nuzzled Mirage back and stayed close to him. "What's going on? Why is the sky like that?". He nuzzles her again, then looks up as there is another flash. I asked mother earlier. She called it lightning. At that moment, the storm wind came up, blowing the longer mane of the teenaged horse and shorter one of the filly. he once more scented the air, and it smelled wet, but of a differernt kind. She said it comes with storms, and storms can be very good for the land. They help water all the grass so that the horses out there have something to eat, and don't have to rely on coming to the barn all the time. They are what makes the flowers grow.Sun backed up a little. "I don't like it. The sound, the light. It's scary". As she spoke another loud boom of thunder rattled through the dark sky causing Sun to jump.He nuzzled his friend closer to his side. It's alright. I'm bigger then you. it will get me before it gets you. His tail whipped behind him like a rouge hairdryer was going after it; the wind tangling knots in his growing tail. his main wasn't long enough to aquire nots, but it sure wasn't going to look pretty in the morning. He stood as though to defy the storm; not even flinching as the light flashed and the thunder roared closer. For some reason, with Sun afraid, he wasn't so scared of it anymore. And he just stood and watched it.She nuzzled her head into his side as if trying to hide from the sounds and sights of the furious storm. "Maybe we should go inside", she yelled over the roar of the wind flying past them.He nods, though she probably cannot see it, and starts heading back towards the barn, though with careful steps and making sure that Sun is at his side the entire time. If she slows, he does as well.Sun stayed by Mirage as they walked up towards the barn. When they got inside she was shivering from the cold stormy wind.Mirage moved into a stall with lots of straw, and laid down in it, motion for Sun to lay by him, since he could feel her shivvering as the walked into the barn.Sun walked in and layed next to Mirage and nuzzled him. She was still shivering slightly but she was starting to warm up.He was glad that her shivvering was subsiding, and that she was warming up. After she had hurt her leg, he didn't want her to have caught a cold. She would be miserable for days if she did, he knew. He pushed some more hay up around her with his mussle.Sun snuggled her head into Mirage's side. She was exhausted from her day and soon drifted off to sleep. Mirage watched Sun drift off to sleep, then turned his attention back to the storm raging outside; the flashing of lightning reflecting in his blue eyes.Mirage- Adolecent, Sun-Foal Mirage was out in the fields, looking around. he liked these open places. For the past day or so, he had felt different then when he had frist bgrown. Mother had called it growing up. he had just rolled her eyes at her. But now that he thought about it, she just might have been right.Sun trotted over behind Mirage and crouched down a little. She stayed low and tried sneaking up on him as best she could. Closer and closer she got until she was right behind him then jumped out and shouted, "Boo!"He feigned a startled snort and a small hop as she lept out at him. Why Sun. When ever did you get to be so silent and sneaky?"It's a talent", She said happily holding her head high proud of her acomplishment. "How are you Mirage?" Shrugs a little. Pretty good. Out on the plains, and looking around at what the rain did to it yesterday. There are all manners of mud spots and still-running water. The wind will get to you a bit though, if you don't stand braced against it. His mane whipped in the wind, along with his tail"I'm not too worried about the wind I'll be fi-", ashs he spoke a big burst of wind knocked her off balance. Sun caught herself and wobbled a little. "...I stand corrected". She then spotted a mud puddle and bounded over to it jumping full on into the sticky mud.Mirage rolled his eyes at her good-naturedly. Before she could get any thoughts about getting him muddy though, he happily came into the mud-puddle and joined her.Sun jumped and ran around, mud flying everywhere. Laughing and having fun a thought came to her head. She wouldn't be able to have this much fun once she grew up so she had to make the most of the time she had left.Mirage ran around the puddle as well, chasing his younger friend. He enjoyed the times that they spent together, where she didn't care that he was older, and that he would act younger. They were still friends.Sun-Foal, Mirage-Adolecent Sun layed down in the soft grass and rolled around. It got her mind off of the subject and it satisfied the itch she had on her back. She stopped and layed on her stomach looking around for something to do.After eating his hill for the moment, he raised his head, scenting the wind. The breeze smelled of the creek, and coming rain. But that just made him excited. He reared, kicking out his front feet. He let out a challening whinny to a hawk circling above, and then took off; kicking his heals as he ran.Sun watched Mirage from her spot in the grass. He had a lot of energy and spirit to go with it. She could never compare to him and to top it off she was younger. Laying her head down sadly she continued watching him.He gave a little buck, and then went for the barn yard at a high-stepping trot. He was wondering if Sun was up yet, or done with whatever she was doing.Sun was still laying down in the grass watching Mirage. Being that she was laying right in front of the barn he headed straight toward her. She lifted her head and whinnied a small greeting to him.He turned as he head her whinnie a greeting to him, and stopped as he was a step or two away from her. Hi Sun. How are you doing? He came forward and nuzzled her.She nuzzled him back and stood up. "I'm good. How about you?"Pretty good. I've been stretching my legs. The medows and fields are fun to take at full speed. And there's nothing around to see but the hills. It's amazing. His ears twitched excitedly as he mentioned running. I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to see them.Sun laughed at how excited he was getting just talking about running. "You really like to run don't you? I run sometimes but I'm definatly not as fast as you. Most likely I never will be"Mirage nuzzled her again. Don't say that Sun. When you grow up, you'll get faster. The only reason I can outrun you is because you're legs are smaller. Just wait till your bigger. I'm sure you'll give me a challenge. He whickered in a chuckel. Yes, I love running. Though, I keep hearing that I'm like my father in that aspect. She nuzzled back and looked up at him. "I don't know. You have running genes in your family, while I don't. That's why I don't think I will ever be as fast as you".You'll be able to do something better then me. I know it. We'll be even then.He stood beside her, and nudged her with his shoulder. Don't worry about it. Does it really matter that much to you? That I can run faster then most?Sun shook her head. "No it doesn't matter it was just on my mind is all. What would you like to do?"He studied her with his blue eyes, and then smiled. Well, I did want to show you the plains, and what the rain did to them. If you want to go. But if you want to hang around the yard, we can find something to do here too."Sure I don't think I've been to the plains before. It sounds like fun", she said smiling. "Lead the way"He nods. Alright. He heads off for the plains at a medium-paced trot, staying at a speed that his young friend could easily keep up with.Sun trotted at his side but had to stay at a faster trot to keep up. "I can't wait till I'm bigger. Then I can easily keep up with you and I won't slow you down as much".You don't slow me down. Honestly. I enjoy being able to spend time with you, wether we're chasing eachother or walking. He lead her past a chasm with muddy water still roiling through it. Though, you have to promice, if you ever see something like chasm here with water. Don't get near the sides. It's dangerous. Just as he said that, a large swath of the side of the chasm before them crumbled into the water, and he steered even farther away from the side then they were before."Well even if I don't slow you down I still can't wait till I'm bigger", she said jumping with excitment. Sun looked over at the chasm and observed it closely. "I've never seen one of those before"He smiles at her. I can't wait till you're bigger too. I can take you farther out. He motions his head towards the chasm. There are many of those out here in the plains. They're mostly harmless, when there is no water in them. The water though, makes it very dangerous, and sometimes you don't even know when the waters coming until it is right ontop of you, and then it's mostly too late.Sun got a little closer to one with water running through it. She sniffed it a little but was interupted by the side of the chasm crumbling beneath her hooves. Quickly she jumped back before it fell into the muddy water. "Well I'll make a note to stay away from them".Careful he cautioned as he watched her get closer to one. You fall in, especially when you're young, and you don't have a chance to come out alive. He nodds his head towards a hill. Come on. What I wanted to show you is right over here. She nods and walks with him up to the hill. "So what is it? Is it a surprise?! I love surprises!", she said jumping around with excitment. He grins at her excitement, and clears the hill. Over the hill sits a shaded pond, with young willows dipping their branches into the water. Thick grasses grow along the edges, and birds flutter around inside them. Around the pond is a field of poppies of all sizes, shapes, and colorsl. The pond is located in a small valley. What do you think? Do you like it?Sun's eyes widened at the sight. She had never seen anything so colorful before in her life. Well with the exception of the usual Wild Heart horses. She ran down to the pond causing some birds to fly up into the sky. Rearing up on her hind legs she tried to reach them but they were already too far ahead of her.He laughed as he saw Sun enjoying herself, and leasurely made his way downt he hill. I take it you like it then.Sun nodded smiling. "It's so pretty. How'd you find this place?" She layed down in the tall grass and relaxed. Since she was small in size it looked as if she disappeared in the tall grass. He raises his head to the breeze, breathing it in deep and letting it comb through his mane. I just went running one day, and found it. I like it out here much more then I like the ranch yard. There's so much to see... Sun stuck her head up from the grass. "Hey maybe if you ran a herd one day you could have this place as your territory. I heard Racer was looking for one for his herd too".He looks at her. Do you think I could? I never thought of my own herd. But it would be wonderful to be out here all the time, and find other places like this one. he smiles and her. And if you wanted, you could help me find them."I think you'd be a great herd leader but that's my opinion of course. Do you really think I could help?", she asked standing and looking at him. "That'd be fun to look for places like this".Sure, I'd love for you to help! It's more fun with friends."Yeah it's always fun with friends", she answered smiling a little. Sun truly didn't want to help him as a friend she wanted to be more then a friend but she'd have to accept it the way it was. She layed back down in the grass and rolled a little. He laid down in the grass, and rolls.Sun stood and walked over to Mirage. She leaned down and started pushing him with her muzzle almost trying to roll him over. "You're too big", she said pushing him with all her strength. Giving up she fell to the ground beside him. "Another reason I want to be bigger. So I can have at least some strength".You're strong now, he told her with a smile. I bet if I was standing you could probably get me to stagger by pushing on me. Don't belittle yourself because you're small. You'll change here before too long. I'm sure of it. Nuzzles her.Sun nuzzles him back. "I just feel like I can't do a lot of things because of my size", she said laying her head down.He butts her playfully with his forehead. You'll catch up to me before too long Sun. You'll see. You are a little bit younger then I am. Don't worry about it. Enjoy being small while you can."But how can I enjoy being small when there's no one to be small with me. My brother and sister are the only ones my size and they go off and do their own things. You were the only friend I had to play with and once you grew it felt like you left me behind".He rolls so that he is laying on his belly, and looks straight at her with his blue eyes. Tells her in a serious voice. Sunchaser, I will never leave you behind. Not ever. Do you understand? I don't care if you go lame, go blind, or anything else. Even if I'm three times bigger then you. I will always want you near, no matter what happes, for as long as you want to be by me.Sun looked up at him studying his face. She nuzzled him and smiled, "Thanks Mirage and I always want to be near you", she said nuzzling him again. He nuzzled her back. Well, shall we stay here for the night, or head back. My feet are a bit sore from exploring earlier."I think we should stay here. It's really nice here and saves you the trouble of walking back since you're sore", she layed her head down on the soft cool grass. Thanks Sun. I owe you one. He smiles at her, and lays his own head down in the sweet grass, though his ears are constantly alert.Sun wondered why he was thanking her. She should be thanking him for cheering her up. She rested her eyes a little bit thoughts still running through her mind.Mirage nuzzled into Sun, and gave a contented sigh.Sun smiled and nuzzled back into him then eventually drifted off to sleep.Nuzzles his head against hers, and drifts off to sleep, though, his ears stay alert.Mirage-Adolecent, Sun-Foal, with Averti' and Sky too. Even though the sun had risen Sun still slept quietly in the grass. Her long day she had yesterday had really tired her out.Mirage lay there, happy and peaceful. He had been awake for a bit, but had just been laying here; enjoying the coming of dawn, and hearing as the world started to wake. Or, he would have been if there wasn't a noise that was off. Mirage lifted his head, his breath steaming slightly in the cool morning air. his ears were perked foreward, and not a muscle was movedAs the sun got higher in the sky Sun tried to hide her eyes from the brightness of it. She nuzzled her head against Mirage's black coat to hide from the light. He looked at her briefly; his eyes softening for a moment as he watched her snuggle against him to hide the sun from her eyes. Another sound caught his sensitive ears then, and he turned his attention back to it.Her ears twitched a little as she lifted her head sleepily. Yawning Sun looked up at him and tilted her head. "What's wrong?", she asked looking in the direction he was.He shook his head, and then carefully got up onto his feet. Stay here, he told her, watching the place before them. 'll be right back. He headed with careful steps towards some of the bushes at the side of the pond.Sun watched him curiously trying to keep herself from following. She shifted nervously on the grass wondering what Mirage was investigating. As soon as he gets near where the source of the noise was coming from, he sighed in relief, and nodded for her to come over to where he was.She stood and trotted over to him. "What was making the sound?"He pushed the bush aside, and there, chewing on a mouse, was a half-grown fox kit. The kit had blue eyes like mirage, and was black like him as well. It had a dark blue stripe down it's back though that had markings that made it look like it had scales instead of fur. There were also turquoise and white markings twisting up the font of the leg like seawead of all four feet, with sparkle-looking spots at the top of the twisting marking."What's that? I think my dad knows a creature like that" Sun stepped forward sniffing the fox a little. It's a fox he told her. I found her a while back. She was getting harased by some vultures, and I scared the birds away. Apparently, she took a liking to me, because it seems like she's following me everywhere. Though, she seems to like it here best. He lowered his head to the small creature, who licked him on the muzzle, before finishing her mouse and starting to clean herself."Oh yeah that's what they were called. Tanna is a fox and she hangs around Fallen's house", she said taking another step towards the fox. Sun nudged her with her muzzle then jumped back. "Does she play?"Mirage cocked his head to the side. I'm not sure. I know she hunts. I've chased her, and she's chased me. I guess she knows a little bit how to play, since she is so young.Sun jumped around the little fox and nudged it some more. "Come on you can play right?, she said nudging her again. The little fox looked at mirage as though to ask if it was okay. When he nodded, she lept at Sun, landing right infront of her feet.Sun jumped back and ran away from the fox playfully. She ran over and pushed Mirage before running away from both of them. The fox yipped and chased the fleeing filly. Mirage took a path that looked as though he was angling away from Sun a bit. He had a plan. Now, all they had to do was see if it worked.Sun continued running from the fox laughing and also making sure she was going a little slower so she doesn't get too far ahead of it.Mirage turned quickly, cutting in behind Sun. The kit runs beside him, and then leaps for the fillies side, swiping a velvet paw along her flank, before landing and rolling.Sun sped up as Mirage ran after her. She looked over her shoulder at him and was surprised to find she was a good deal ahead of him. When she looked forward again there right in her path was a chasm. She tried to stop but there wasn't enough time. She fell right into it.Sun! Mirage cried as he watched her dissapear into the earth. He ran quickly to get to her. Though, he stopped farther from the edge then he wanted. This one had been running earlier, so the sides were still weak on it. Are you alright?[/b he called down, hoping that she would be able to answer him. There was a long still silence and Sun did not answer.

Sun and Mirage Rp continued. Sun and Mirage Rp He wanted to panic. She hadn't answered him. But he knew he couldn't or it might mean her life. He headed first one direction, then another. What to do. What to do. Finally, he looked at the fox kit. You stay here. Watch her for me. As the kit nodded, he ran down the chasm, looking frantically for a place that wasn't so steep to get down, and one where he would be able to get back up.
Finally, he spotted one. It looked as though it was and edge that had just collapsed during this last rain storm. Though, it was on the other side of the chasm from him. He cursed his luck for that, and veared away from the chasm when he found a narrow spot close to where he was. When he was far enough away to get some good speed, he turned with a rear, and headed back for the chasm at top speed, leaping over the dark wound in the ground with ease. As he landed, he turned, and looked down the still-steep embankment. But he had no choise. Swallowing how much he didn't like the fact of decending into the earth, he did; sitting nearly on his tail on the way down; all four feet embeded to the knees in the soft soil and rocks.Sun's eyes flickered open and it was dark. She then recalled falling into the chasm and tried to stand. Her back right leg stung with pain causing her to fall back down. Looking up her eyes searched for Mirage but she couldn't see him.His lower legs were covered in small cuts and bruses, and he was pretty sure he twisted his ankle in the rough ride down when he went to pull his foot out, and caught it on a rock. He limped his way down the chasm bottom, back the way he had come; back the way that Sun had fallen. He sighed and continued along, his hooves sticking in the mud at the bottom and causing his sprained foot more pain, along with his sore legs. Not to mention, the horrible squishing sound it caused.
He couldn't go as fast as he wanted though. Or else he would be trotting back to get her out of there. He had to watch the walls. They were weakened, and he would do her no good should be get barried. he also had to watch for stones. Towards noon, it would be much lighter in here, but for now, it was very dim surprisingly. Sun? He called softly, not wanting the vibrations of his echoing voice to loosen anymore dirt. Sun, if you can hear me, don't yell. Just stay where you are. I'm coming. Her ears swiveled around hearing him call. "Mirage?", she whimpered softly. She layed there waiting for him to come into her view. Trying to stand again her leg stung even more so she layed back down almost giving up.He came around a light bend and saw her laying there. Are you alright? he asked, limping forward and nuzzling her, checking her over.Sun nuzzled him back. "My back leg. It hurts really bad. I can't stand up. What's wrong with it?"He shook his head. I don't know. But whatever is wrong with it, it won't do it any good to be down here. He layed down sideways in the mud, right next to her. Get your legs on either side of my back Sun. I don't want you walking out of here.Sun put her front legs over his back with her back legs on the other side. "How are we supposed to get out of here?"You let me worry about that. You just say there on my back. He got up carefully, stumpling only a little when he had to put his weight on his sprained foot. But he gritted his teeth, forcibly kept his ears up, and delt with it. She needed help now. He could hurt later. Though, she did ask an interesting question. He sighed and started walking. How am I going to get us out of this. he thought to himself as he walked down the way he had just come. I can't climb that slope again. Not to mention, we'd be on the wrong side, and I can't jump with her on my back. He pondered this as they walked.
I guess we'll just have to keep going until the chasm shallows, and then climb one of the embankments. That's all we really can do.Sun was starting to worry about how they would get out of here and back home. "This is my fault", she said her ears pinned back sadly. "I should have been watching where I was going"Yes. You should have been watching where you were going Sun, especially out here. There are so many ways to get hurt. And you didn't know the terrain. He sighs. It was also my fault though for not watching you, since this is really your first time out here, and you really didn't know what to expect. We're both to blame. But don't worry about it. I'll make sure your mother takes a chunk out of my hide instead of yours. They passed by the area Mirage had come down by, and he kept going. He flattened his ears at himself. Oh heaven. He sounded like a father.Sun sighed and looked up at the muddy walls. "Do you have any ideas on how to get back to the stables?"A bit. I fell into one of these once. I'm looking for a shallower sides, or for this to become less deep. Which, from the light ahead, shows that it has a good chance of holding our way out.He heads for the lighter section, and finds what he was looking for. Making sure to not let Sun slip, he climbed up the slope, slipping twice, then had his feet on solid ground. She nodded "Okay but how far will that put us from the barn?"Well, I'll have to carry you for a bit longer, because we were trotting when we came out here. The barn is two hills that direction. He pointed with his nose the direction he was talking about, then started walking that way.She nodded again" I'm sorry you have to burden yourself with carrying me".He stops, and turns to fully look at her. You aren't a burden. I'm carrying you because I want to. You're special to me. He didn't move, but watched her.She smiled a bit "Thanks Mirage", she said nuzzling him.He nuzzled her back. Come on. Let's go see if we can find out what's wrong with that leg of yours. He started walking again towards where he knew the Ranch houses and barns were."Yeah". Sun tried to move her injured leg but couldn't at least it didn't hurt since Mirage was carrying her. It took the pressure off of it. He walked on, trying his hardest not to limp. Because he knew he would jolt her, and he didn't want to. But with each step, he felt as though something was clawing his leg. He continued on though, happy when he saw the main barn as he crested the first hill. Sun saw the barn and let out a sigh a relief but she could tell Mirage wasn't acting like himself. She nuzzled his neck a little, "You okay?"He nodded, and managed to sound even a bit cheerful as he told her, I'm fine. Just scratched up a bit from sliding down that one slope. He would be hanged before he would tell her that he was carrying her while he himself had a hoof that was killing him with each step. She would feel really badly about it, and he didn't want her feeling worse then she already did. Though, later, he was going to go soak the hoof, and maybe the entire leg, in the cool stream that ran by the ranch yard. And maybe then it would stop throbbing."...okay. Who are we going to ask to look at my leg? Your mom?", she asked still a little worried about him.He thought. I'm not sure she can, but we can always try. I'll see if one of the ranch hands or owner is around. If not, I guess it will be my mom. He told her through gritted teeth. Mirage was climbing the second hill now. Over that, and they would be there."Alright. You can set me down up by the stables before you go find someone so you can walk better", she told him. Shakes his head. No, because then they would have to walk over and find you. I'll take you with me. That way, they can see you right away. And we both won't have to go so far then. "Oh I didn't think of that but I guess you're right. Who do you plan to go see?"I think I'll try the owner first. Then I'll go to mom. He was finally in the yard, and headed for the Owners house."I've seen the owner help a lot of horses. I think she's a good choice", she said shifting a little on Mirage's back.He walked over to GW's porch, and hit his hooves on the porch, seeing if she was home.Sun waited to see if Wolf would answer the door.He shifted on his feet, impatiently; releiving the weight off his foot. when it appeared she wasn't going to come, he walked off the porch and headed for his mom's house."It's okay I'm sure your mom can help right?"He walks over to his moms house, where he sees her outside weeding. Mom, he nickers, so that she isn't startled by him coming up.Sky looked up as she heard Mirage, and saw him muddy, and carrying Sun on his back. Oh dear, she said, and put down her tools down. What happened here?Sun whinnied to Sky. "Mirage how do we tell her what's wrong?".He carefully climbs down to his knees. Here, slide off. She'll probably be able to tell just by the way you're standing.Averti' was heading to the stream for a drink when she saw a muddy and injured sun. "Oh my!" she gasped and ran as fast as she could over to sun and nuzzled her. "What happened? Are you ok? Mirage, what happened?"Sun used her front legs to pull herself off of Mirage. When she tried to stand on her injured leg she collapsed to the ground. "Oww!"
Sun nuzzled her mother back. "I fell into a chasm and I don't know what's wrong with my leg but don't blame Mirage mommy it was my own fault""Oh no, im not blaming Mirage. I know he wouldn't let anything happen to you purposely." she nuzzled her again. "We have to get wolf right away. Or nata or someone."I went to show her a medow, and she ran right into one of the chasms and hurt her leg. We're having my mom look at it now..Sky watched her collapse, and rushed to the filly. That doesn't look good little one. Will you let me look at it? She held her hand out to the filly.Sun nuzzled her mother and then Sky's hand to tell her it was okay.Averti' snorted and her ears went flat against her head when she saw Sky aproach Sun. Mirage faced Averti'. It's alright. Mom won't hurt her. Sky came close to Sun, and ran her hand down the fillies other legs, before she tenderly ran it down the one that she hand't been able to put down.Averti' snorted again but let Sky check out sun's leg. She laid down next to sun and watched Sky's hand run up and down sun's leg."Ow. Don't do that it hurts",she whimpered. Sun nudged Sky trying to tell her to stop touching it.At the sound of Sun's whimpering she pulled her back a few inches and snorted.Sky puts her hands out. It's alright. I'll never be able to see what's wrong if I can't feel her leg. she told Averti'Mirage nuzzled Sun.Sun nuzzled Mirage back and layed her head down bearing with the pain in her leg.Averti' eyed Mirage as he nuzzled Sun. She laid down next to Sun and looked at her leg. Mirage, watch her for a minute. I'm going to get some Ice and see if I can't get some of this swelling down. She looked at him for a moment, and noticed him off one of his feet. And for you too. She walked into the house. Mirage snorted at her, but did as he was told.Sun nuzzled Averti' again and looked at one of Mirage's hooves. "You said you were okay", she said looking up at him. "But you're not are you?" I'm fine, he told her. Mom's just making a fuss. That's all. Averti' laid her head down, still keeping an eye on Mirage.Sun layed her head back down. "Whatever you say Mirage". Sky returned, with a bucket with ice, and several rags at the side of it. Alright little one. Let's see what's happened. She turned and gave Mirage a stern look. You. Here. Lay down. Now. Let me see that hoof of yours, and don't argue. He wasn't able to argue with her, and groaned as he lay down as well. Sun lifted her head and looked at Sky with the bucket of ice. "Mommy what's in the bucket?", she asked Averti'.Sky ran her hands once more down the wounded leg lightly again.Mirage watched her."It's ice sweetie. Don't worry. It should help keep your leg from swelling."Sun whimpered again but didn't fight Sky. She knew she was only trying to help.Sky felt the lower part of the leg again, and then turned and filled a rag with ice, flipped it over, and tied it to the lower section of her leg, where it hurt. "It's alright little one. It's going to be okay." Once more, she turned to Mirage. "Now you..." Averti' nuzzled Sun. "Does it hurt much?"The pain in her leg was starting to numb from the ice. Sun nuzzled Sky to say thank you and then looked at Mirage."It feels a little bit better now", she said nuzzling Averti' back. "Good, now you pretty much have the same rules as last time you get hurt.""What were those rules again?". Sun asked looking up at her mom. Sky reached over, and was feeling down Mirages other legs, before she went to the one that hurt him. He didn't flinch on the leg, until she got to his hoof, and then he pulled his foot away from her.Sun watched Mirage pull his foot from Sky but didn't say anything. It was her fault all this had happened.Baby, she muttered lightly at him, knowing he heard.Mirage snorted in disagreement, and flinched again when she felt for his hoof.Sun layed her head on Mirage's back and sighed. He placed his head on hers and nuzzled. It's alright Sun. It wasn't your fault. Ouch! He pulled his foot away again.Split your hoof Mirage. You're not going to be walking on four hooves for a bit. She made the other rag with ice, and placed it on his foot and his ankle to help with the swelling. She gave a curosry glance at the other cuts and burises on his legs. Those will heal pretty good on their own.She nuzzled back and looked down at his hoof. "I'm still sorry Mirage".He smiled and gave her a friendly nudge. Don't blame yourself. I would have done it to myself at one point or another. I run around enough. I would have hit a rock and done it to myself.Sun sighed again. "Well I guess we're both grounded", she said looking up at him with a smile. He grinned at her. Yeah. It looks like that, doesn't it? I guess we've got to find something around here to do that requires three legs."What is there to do? Everything needs four legs", she said laying her head back down on his back.Don't look at it that way Sun. We'll find something. We're creative and smart. He snorted at her when he said that they were smart, as if she would doubt it."I don't even think my mom will let me walk around trying to find something to do. She said that the same rules apply as the last time I was hurt but I can't remember what they were exactly"Laughs. Well, I guess we'll both follow them. he nuzzled her again. So you're mom can't be mad at either of us.Sun- Adolecent, Mirage- Adolecent Sun spots Mirage and quietly walks up behind him. Then jumps out in front of him trying to surprise him. "I grew!", she shouted stumbling a little on her bad leg but keeps a big smile on her face.He starts for a moment as she jumps in front of him. Hey! he exclaims. You're eye-level with me! He whickers happily.Sun nodded happily. "I've been waiting and waiting and now I finally grew!"She jumped around him. "Let's go running!" In her excitment she had totally forgot about both of their injuries. He shook his head. No, we can't. I know I can't run. I can limp though. He grins at her, and steps forward to nuzzle her."Oh that's right. I forgot about your hoof", she said nuzzling him. "Well we can limp together", she gave a small smile.Alright. I'll limp-race you to the apple groves. He winks at her. You can get reach them now. How about it?Sun shook her head. "I wasn't thinking of racing. It's not good for your foot or my leg. We shouldn't even be walking around if you ask me. How bout we just walk. Sound good?", she asked nuzzling him again. He smiled, and nuzzles her back. Sounds good to me.Sun started walking towards the apple groves, Mirage walking at her side. She rested her head against his as they walked.Mirage gave a sigh of content as Sun laid her head on him. He felt this wave of happiness flow through him, and he was happy to walk along with her, trying to limp at the same time she did so that her head didn't get jolted against his side.As they reached the groves Sun reached up and grabbed a few apples setting them on the ground. Then layed down in the shade of one of the trees. He reached up for an apple, and pulled it from the trees. Though, he didn't lay down. He rested his foot though; gently putting only a small bit of weight on it.Sun took a bite of an apple then stood up. "You could rest your foot more if you layed down", she said nudging him a little. He shook his head at her. No. My leg stiffens terribly when I lay down, and it causes my hoof to throb. So, I stand. Though, that doesn't mean you can't lay down though.Sun shook her head. "No I'll stand with you. I don't mind", she said as she reached down and took another bite of an apple.Mirage lowered his head, reaching back and nibbling on the special shoe that was on his back hoof. He hated the thing. It trapped the sweat in, which caused it to itch terribly. But he couldn't itch it. So, he had to content himself with nibbling on the edges.I had to leave >.> Not done (Page 731)

Kalani trotted around enjoying the bright sunshine and the puffy clouds that rolled through the blue skies. That darn Cobin had disappeared again. Why does he always do that?, she asked herself.

Kalani rounded a corner and spotted Cobin laying under the apple tree. A mischevious grin spread across her face as she hid behind the apple tree. Usually the tricks were something her brother would do but she couldn't pass up this opportunity. Leaping out from behind the tree she shouted, "Boo!" as she tackled the unsuspecting colt.

Cobin jumped up and yelled. "Aah!" He shouted, not looking at what it was. He tried to run, but stumbled over the tree's roots and landed on his face. He looked back, afraid of what he might see but relaxed when he saw who it was. "You mean person." He said as he stood up and shook his mane

Kalani whinnied in laughter and pranced around, proud of her acomplishment but put on a sad face when he said 'mean person'. "You don't mean that...Do you?", she asked lowering her head. Cobin was her only friend and would hate to have him not like her anymore.

Cobin nudged her with his hoof. "Course i don't." He poked her. He poked her and ran away. "Can't catch me!" He called her her, stopping and facing her. "Can't catch me!" He flicked his tail and waited for her to come and try to catch him.
