History (V2):

Querl Dox of the Colu, was arranged born into the world by Brainiac 4,
as an experiment to see if motherhood would cause her to have any emotional stimuli.
When it did not, the Coluans accepted Querl as her replacement to be called Brainiac 5.
Concidered to be state property by the Coluan government, Brainiac 5 was to apply his
inherited 12-level intellegence to scientific research on the behalf of Colu.
With time, Querl's lack of concern for safty proticals,
his interest in pure experimentation, and continueous destrution, the Coluan goverment
needed to get rid of Brainiac 5 before he obliterated Colu. They would have sold him,
but U. P. Law forbid it, so they gave the 11 year old Querl away to Brande Industries.
After five destroyed labs, R.J. Brande, one of the richest men in the United Planets,
creator of the StarGates, could no longer afford Brainiac 5, so he found Querl an
internship at the Time Institute's Training Center. Then Querl was drafted in to
the Legion were he served as a scientist and field member if it was required.
During that time Brainy, as his fellowing Legionnaires call him, created the anti-gravity
metal that Invisible Kid made the flight rings with, the person forcefield he wears, and
an anti-lead serium to save Valor and before that, his first main "tail blonde"
crush Andromeda. When it was believed that Andromeda had died, Brainy partook in a the
very illegal activity of building a time plateform. Dabbing in the time stream landed him
in prison. It was believed he built the platform to save Andromeda,
but it was for something far more tramatic to Brainiac 5, he had forgotten his mother's face.
His early abandoment by his mother is the beinging of his obsession with "tall blonds."
Brainy was unfeeling and arrogance, after his "upgrade" by a space anomoly,
he would agree. Not only did the upgrade give him mental control of his
force fiend, but it also broke down the barriers between intellect, emotion, and intuition
in his mind.
