If the tetsusuiga surpresses Inuyasha's demon nature, how come he never tranformed before he gained possession of it?
My few theories are, the tetsusaiga awakened his demon nature as well as protects him from it, or as his power grows so does his demonic nature.
Any other theories, sources to explain this?

Any other theories, sources to explain this? The reason why is because it was inside his father's grave and the grave was inside one of Inuyasha's eyes, and he can't transform unless he is in danger and the Tetsuaiga is away from him.

Any other theories, sources to explain this? It may've been that his father's fang held stronger suppressing powers against his full-blooded demonic side. He gained possession of it pretty early in the series though. Before that he may not have had a need for it.
