Did anyone else here get to play with the Vedelt 100+ items glitch. Woohoo 100+ ageis shields and mega elixers. Found it quite by accident one day. Happy day biggrin

Never heard of it. sweatdrop

Care to explain?..
not that it's needed

'cause if you're going to glitch your way through the game, you might as well just Vanish/Doom with Gembox.

Oooo.... I was gonna make a topic bout glitches.... >_<
The 100 items glitch my brother used, I begged him not to as they tend to seriously screw up your game beyond repair and our one preordered copy of an 80$ game does not deserve to be ruined by my brothers bastardness >_<, didn't have anything to do with the Velt if I remember correctly. It didn't just make 100 of all of the items but countless so most of the numbers showed as zeros and it affected ALL of the save slots... That pissed me off. Having 30 economizers and Elixers ect was good and all but some of the items duplicated into other slots so there would be to slots with Potions in them. The game has 255 items and 255 item slots (not including rares) so that really screwed things up. Selling them didn't get rid of them either and I don't recall "sort" working either. The only choice was to start a new game.

*thinks* I remember what did it! Relm's vanishing sketch! Damn that glitch... Don't let Relm sketch invisible things!! AAAHHHHHHH!!!! crying
gonk I almost did that to an Intangir....

Weell I think this happened to me about the 3 or 4th time through the game but I think it did give you 255 of the item but you could eventually sell it until it was down to a managable amount, and it didn't affect all my games just the one I was playing on. If you had the item in a certian slot it got duplicated but another item got deleted in its place I forget where to put the items as I haven't played for years. Hehe vanish doom is sooo cheap. I had to not tell a guy about that his first time through either. I'm glad I didn't know about it.

Poor Square didn't even have a clue as to how the Vanish and Doom glitch happened or how to fix it... crying

I thought it was just the Vanish state made all spells auto-hit, so even Doom would work?

Yes, but some creatures are supposed to be weak against Doom and some completely invernerable to it. Casting Vanish on something made it 100% weak against it, even bosses.

I've played with an RPG maker program and setting up weakness and resistances was hard enough in that, but who knew skecthing an intangir would toast your game also. I think with other creatures the only way I found to get out of that is a smoke bomb. If you don't have one you have to reset the game. God forbid you didn't save.

There's also a glitch involving invisible monsters and Gau, something about changing his game sprite. ::shrugs:: I didn't oo much care for Gau or Leo personally, so I never used the Gau glitch. Also, try confusing a party member after casting an Esper but before it's cast, you know, while they're still chanting, it cause them to use it on the party instead. I had Sabin using Palidor when he got confused and it made all the enemies jump, with him included. It ended up glitching the game having sabin, whoi wasn't back on the field yet, doing blitzes that he didn't have yet, with no button presses... I was weirded out.

Wow, that IS weird. I've used the vanish/doom trick before on bosses, but it just seemed to cheapen the whole experience.

The thing I loved was Vanish/X-Zone. You use that on certain enemies and you don't get the powerful/useful items they drop. Once got back at my brother by telling him to do it once. He didn't save though, so it was cool.

Don't forget Wrexsoul. For his fight the vanish doom trick doesn't work. But you can just cast x-zone and it kills the two soulsavers, winning the battle instantly. The thing that always bothered me about this though was that now you finish the game with someone being posessed by wrexsoul.

You can defeat him that way, but I believe that's one of the fights I was talking about. If you win via X-Zone I think you miss out on something good you'd otherwise have gotten.

Hurray for RPG maker! Encoding was a pain. I couldn't get what I wanted to work half the time, but I got ok at it eventually. I started an RPG about 2 years ago... still haven't finished or gotten near to finishing it. I forget where I learned about the Wrexsoul X-Zone thing. Maybe a guide. I don't think I did it the first time around, but I dont remember getting any thing in particular for beating them the normal way either. You just automatically assume you can't beat bosses with instant death attacks, although killing Doom Train with a Pheonix down was interesting. So is Using Sabin's suplex. I was like "Hmmm I wonder if he can do that"? Well I guess he WAS holding up a building in the WOR so Suplexing a train isn't all that far fetched.
