And I persoanlly like all three era's equally. It's hard to say that one is your favorite when all three Era's have their own style, which means you like them for different reasons.

The Tetsu Era ... many people don't like Tetsu-sama's voice, but I absolutally love it. While Gackt and Klaha's voices were deep and smooth (<__< or course Gackt can manage to get his voice really high pitched XD) Tetsu's voice was just so unique. Unique is good. His voice was trully amazing, and I doubt anyone will ever have a voice like his. <__< Even though live he did sound sort of weird. But of course some people don't really have an appriciation for things that are "different" and often like to go with the more "normal" ones. Such as Gackt and Klaha.

And some people really piss me off, like the people who say they downright hate Tetsu, and go off on crazy rants like this one person on Youtube. Which I will quote:



Now WHAT the ******** is that? XD And I will quote what I replied to that person. Because it pissed me off. People are intitled to their opinions, but that's just rude.

Now on to Gacky-chan. The Gackt Era was like... a huge catagory jump from the Tetsu Era. With the new vocalist came a whole new style of clothing and music. The music sort of slowed down and became more romantic, if you want to word it that way and adopted a French influence ... And Their outfits became more "colorful" and "Flashy" <__< or something like that.... completely different from the previous Era and therefore I cant really compare it if we're trying to "Favorite" them.

The Klaha Era was also nothing like the previous 2 Era's. They went with the more "Gothic" and "Dark" look... as well as the music did. <__< Excepts like... the "Gardenia" Single.... XD That ones just sort of... there. Klaha's voice suited the music style they were going for. Lets say Gackt didn't leave Malice Mizer, and they decided to go for that Style. I don't quite think it would have worked. Gackt's voice, while beautiful and amazing, wouldnt have cut it for that style. Just like Tetsu and Gackt brought on a whole new style with their particular singing talents, so did Klaha.

So I really can't choose which Era is my "favorite" because they each have different talents and styles, and I like each particular Era for those different reasons.


And I'd also like to add that, without each particular vocalist, Malice Mizer wouldn't have become what it was.

Tetsu Era was a little hyperactive, but beautiful in a way, the songs were really guitarbased.

Gackt era was popular, kinda the 'French' and happy touch to it in songs like Madrigal, though kinky as in Illuminati or very pretty like Regret and Le Ciel.

Klaha era was pretty too, he had a great..... kinda opera voice, mysterious, the style was kinda dark and Vampire like (Bara no Konrei, Beast of blood) But pretty in songs liek Gardenia.

We can't forget that through all eras Mana was doing the majority of composition and style work. In that sense, they are more than comparable. I find that too many fans focus on the singers, and not the ideamen. (I mean, look what Klaha did in terms of lyrics. Obviously not an ideaman.)

I like Merveilles/Voyage more because at that time I think Mana was stretching his legs more than he did before or after. He was really showing what he could do in terms of range, and allowing his bandmates to contribute a lot more (Kozi's work has always attracted me). Afterward I think he did a pretty good job of trapping himself.

In terms of singers however, one need only listen to the three versions of Kioku to Sora (I have all three, if anyone wants them). They're all very different, while the backing instruments are generally the same. Klaha stands out on the track the most. While he is not my favorite, I think the Kioku to Sora example serves to show not only the contrast between the three, but the direction of Mizer as a whole. They were always going somewhere, progressing forward. I, however, don't think they reached the golden point where everything came together. It would have been nice to see it progress to a real masterwork. One can only hope it isn't really over.

Oohh.. I love Nil and Zigzo... Nil more-so... probably because I (sadly) only have one Zigzo song... But I have to admit I liked Tetsu's voice better with the style they had going in Malice Mizer... it just seemed to suit it better... XD But it still works for what he has going now... <__<

You probably should have read the above posts before talking about Tetsu is such a disrespectful way..... because alot of us like Tetsu and when you say it like that it tends to piss us off. =/

And you need reasoning as to why "Tetsu sucked" You can't say it's because of his voice, because Tetsu's voice was very unique. It's fine to state your opinion, if you don't like his voice then that's fine, but that doesn't mean he "sucks". And keep in mind many of will not like the way you said it.
