Have any of you heard of The Mammals? They're a really good folkish/rockish band. I listen to their CD's constantly (although at the moment I'm actually listening to a live show of theirs I downloaded wink ) and have been to seem them live several times. One of the members is Pete Seeger's grandson, which I find very cool, and another is Jay Ungar and Lyn Hardy's daughter. They're all really nice; they even sang 'Happy Birthday' for me once! I thought I'd mention them here because their music is pretty well-liked among all the hippies I know.

Heh, cool. Usually the answer to that question is a pretty blank "No..."

Julia: What do you think of them?

No, I haven't heard of them, but they sound neat. I guess I'll try to find them online, or maybe I'll check them out next time I'm at a music store...

You can listen to a few of their songs on their website: http://www.themammals.net/listen.html
And there's two shows online that I know of: http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=23078 and http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=23074&from=browsePopular

There's also a couple radio shows they did available for listening to online... but I don't want to totally flood you with links biggrin
