Welcome to the 1st soquili plot event! I'm looking for people to help roleplay in the the plot so sign up if you want to participate. Based on past thread/teepee activity you may be selected to fill a role in the plot! This event will introduce new saddled soquili from other countries. Soquili is a historical fantasy RP ..so there is no SET time period for this event. My guess is that it could be in the 1600s.
non-owners as well as owners can participate! Post in this thread to sign up or express interest. If enough people sign up and want to participate then we can have this be a group RP event. Also post feedback on the plot and ideas on how you think it could be better.
Plot Idea
(Feel free to comment and post suggestions to help the plot)
A group consisting of 2 Englishmen, 1 Scotsman, and 1 Frenchman explore the 'New World' on their saddled horses. A member of the kawani tribe (could be someone's RP character or an NPC) spots them and alerts the village of the strange 'pale faced' men with 'boom sticks' that are mounted on horses wearing an odd blanket.
Then the villagers would wonder if these people are friends or fiends.. question their motives. They could send out a team of indians and soquilis to visit the settler's camp. It might get ugly as the settlers and their horses had heard stories of savages that scalp men alive. The Kawani are a gentle tribe but it might be easy to mix them up with the war tribes (like Mohawks) from a pale-face's point of view.
Maybe the indian/soq group could then convince the settlers they are friends somehow and invite them for a pow wow in their village. The settlers would bring their own horses who would be curious about these saddle-less beasts. They would wonder how a horse and master could live so equal and in the same home too! XD
They themselves are used to being treated like a slave and even beaten into submission. They wear saddles and bits.. to keep them in line. Some probably think this way is best and the wild savage soquilis are barbaric and stupid.
The indian-owned soquilis might think these saddled horses are ignorant as well. They feel free is the way to be..not chained up and ordered around in society. The soqs think of their owners as friends..not a master.
One or two of the settlers/soqs might stay with the indians if they like their way of life. The others would leave and spread the word of the kind indians. More settlers and saddled soqs might come (from other countries) and start trading with the Kawani. They might sell saddles and stuff from Europe.
They don't know this, but a bunch of settlers have built a fort a few miles away from the Kawani village on the beach. Maybe if someone gets a saddled soquili, they could make up a pale faced character who decides to live among the indians (like Kevin did in Dances with Wolves).

Characters
~The Pale-Faced~
-Lt. James Hargrove: James is an Englishman. He comes to the New World in search of a place where he won't be living under a king. He has brown curly hair, hazel eyes, a triangular beard. James is handsome and muscular. He has a wife that is loyal to the King back home in England named Catherine who refused to come with him. James is a leader to his men and they respect him. A player who is also a leader would work well RPing James.
-Thomas K. Lyon: Thomas (or Tom) for short journeys to the New World with James. He left England like James but only for gold. He heard that there is great riches in this place. Thomas is greedy and selfish. He even abuses his horse too. Just a nasty mean spirited man. He has blonde straight hair pulled back into a ponytail and brown eyes. Thomas' body type is lanky. A player who doesn't mind fitting into different roles will work well playing Thomas.
-William MacDouglas: William is a scotsman who journied with James and Thomas. His reason for coming to the new world is unknown. He doesn't trust the English like other Scots do...but hey.. a free ride to the New World was worth it. William has flaming red hair and ice blue eyes.
A player who likes to be mysterious will work well playing William.
-Gustave Marceau: Gustave is a chubby Frenchman. He has black/brown hair and piercing green eyes. He is pompous and arrogant. Gustave came to the New World in pursuit of exploration. He keeps a journal to document everything he sees. A player who likes to keep a sharp eye and loves keeping records would work well playing Gustave.
(sorry only male characters but girls as well as boys can be chosen to play them)

If you need, I can also use my NC Ohanzee for interaction with the settlers, but if someone else really wants to do it they can instead. *nods* Whee.
