Forgotten's Personality: Seraphine doesn't go around boasting about her dancing ability, but she doesn't try to hide it either...she's just modest. She's confident and all, she just can't get over being shy about compliments! Most of the time Sera's quiet, focusing mainly on her oboe playing and her dancing, so she's not so fabulous at making new friends. She's modest and blushes a lot when she's told any sort of compliment; she has a problem with being ridiculed--so that would explain why she's shy--she's afraid she'll say or do something wrong and people will scold her for it. Despite that she'll still sidle up to someone with her oboe and play a little something for anyone she sees being depressed, shy or just looks interesting, looking like a much more confident person when doing so. Sera looks happiest when dancing, it allows her to express herself in a way words can't, the same goes for her oboe. As she grows older she'll learn to love writing her own opuses and perhaps even develop better people skills.
Daemon's Personality: Seduire considers himself Seraphine's right-hand...crane, and cares for Seraphine like she's his own little girl. He's constantly nudging his girl closer to other Forgottens to make more friends, knowing full well she can't just dance and play the oboe all the time! He's chatty and social, and always encouraging Seraphine to try new things and take chances. When it comes to dancing, Seduire is her always willing partner when she's dancing alone, but when she's dancing with someone else he stands on the sidelines and keeps a watchful eye like any father-figure would.

Despite all that, when there's a huge crowd watching the two of them dance, Seduire tends to get a bit...over-enthusiastic. He starts singing (Bird calls of course) and flapping his wings, shakin' that tail feather and stealing as much attention as he can. Needless to say he earns himself a silent treatment for a day or two.

Translation: She had the grace of a swan, and the passion of a professional, moving like water through her partners arms; the way her hips swayed and her feet moved, her hands and arms moving along with the music was enchanting and alluring. The music was foreign, probably Latin of some kind, but that didn't matter. It was as if I was watching a siren dancing instead of singing; I wanted her, I wanted to hold her, to touch her, to feel her soft skin against mine. And then she looked at me...
How does the excerpt affect the pair?: Seduire knows of Seraphine's past somehow, and so it brings the two together because of his desire to protect Seraphine but keep her happy at the same time. At times Seduire even seems afraid of Seraphine.
What does it reveal about..

.. their past?: Seraphine in a previous life was a professional dancer who once fell in love with someone, then something tragic happened. Whether it was a man or a woman is unknown at this point in time.
.. how they are now that they are "reborn" as a Forgotten? She constantly reads a copy of her excerpt Claudine wrote down for her, and (although she doesn't realize she shouldn't) hopes that one day she can trigger the feelings for someone else that the narrator describes for themself.
.. their future?: History may repeat itself. She might not become a professional dancer, but disaster will strike if she falls in love again.

Powers, talents, special traits?: Although she won't be able to do complicated routines as a child, Seraphine is a spectacular dancer. She also plays the oboe (Her most prized possession) so she can get other people to dance as well. Seraphine is able to summon either dancing fairies or wisps of smoke shaped like people to dance along with her or entice others to dance along. Also, when she plays a certain tune on her oboe it can force things (or people) to dance

Other important qualities: Claudine teaches Seraphine French as well as English, so many times she will be speaking either one or the other or just switch out in the same sentence until she develops better speaking skills.

I don't know. I think it would be more interesting if she weren't so shy. Dancers tend to be confident, as far as I've seen, because their abilities give them confidence. This doesn't mean she has to be arrogant or haughty or anything like that, but a woman who is self-confident and moves gracefully and stuff...very alluring. Much more likely to attract the sort of attention that would be garnered in that excerpt than a clingy, self-conscious woman.

She can be unhappy and unbubbly and still confident. ^^ Maybe she's a little anti-social. She is confident in her abilities and her body, but not so good with the people skills? Maybe she's a workaholic and devotes so much time to her dancing that she doesn't really bother with others? And possibly neglects her own needs and pushes herself too far?

She could just glow on stage, be a lot more personable and attracting others and all that jazz.
