What was the point behind FFVII: Advent Children ? Seriously. What was the plot behind the film ? Could someone please tell me. (Obviously it was made to appease the fangirlboy's.) On a sidenote, I found the CG okay. It needed work, though. The fighting was just silly. Either everyone became Jedi or the Matrix got intigrated with FF land.
Lastly what was with everyone having a Cellphone ? Alot of people looked poor and haven't taken a bath in days. Yet, you could afford a Cellphone ? rolleyes Plot holes ahoy.

Those are probably the same phones that they used in the game to stay in contact.
I suppose there wasn't anything really important to the story in the film. Although it might help as a transition to Dirge of Cerberus.
I found Advent Children to be enjoyable.

Three silver haired guys with no backstory and no explanation came to Midgar trying to steal Jenova to do the whole reunion thing again by enlisting the aid of children afflicted with Geostigma, a disease that relates to Jenova. s**t happens. Action happens. Explosions happen. Gravity does not happen. All the heroes from FF7 get together to stop the bad guys. Things are going well. Uh oh, spilling Jenova goo on you apparently transforms you into Sephiroth. More action. Less gravity. Sephiroth loses for the seventh time or so. Magic water cures Geostigma. Flowers. Smiles.

It's cause cellphones are hip, spikey hair is hip, the Matrix is hip, Star Wars is hip, but stories? Nah. Stories are reserved for bedtime.

Seriously, I think the only thing good about this movie is the animation. I was like: "WTF?" The story is awful... Cloud is too emo. I HATE EMOS!! scream And we don't see the others a lot. And some of the guys are too girly, I don't like that. And Barret with a fishnet... MY EYES!!!! eek

I HATE EMOS!! scream And we don't see the others a lot. And some of the guys are too girly, I don't like that. And Barret with a fishnet... MY EYES!!!! eek I think there was a real story behind why hes like that, but screw it; emo is used far too much... Seph Vegeta Heie ...I could go on forever...
