Okay, so the people who run the 'alternative service' at my shul called and asked if I would read Torah for them. Ordinarily I'd say no (I *hate* alternative services), but they sounded way desperate so I said okay.
Being the stupid alternative ********> people they are, they of course gave me no sheet of what I was supposed to read or any offer of help with the trop. I've found what I'm reading- Deut. 25:17, the verse about Amalek (it's Shabbat Zachor)- but I don't know the trop for a lot of it. crying
Does anyone here happen to be proficient in trop? If so, can I give you my phone number and you help me with it? XDDDD
Edit: Ha, ha! Kiashana PM'd me her number and we had a wonderful half-hour conversation about everything in general, and we spent like ten minutes on trop. xd It was very nice. <3 to her.

I'm...uh...decent at it.
While you'd probably do better to find someone else, I'm here if you need a last resort.

Silverah Oh! Oh! I know them... umm... Something, Zokef Gadol, and either a t'lisha k'tana or a t'lisha g'dola. Do you know how they sound? Torah-style, of course, not haftorah. I know those. Haftarah trop > Torah trop. crying

You're in luck! My dad was the bar mitzvah tutor at my synagogue for years, if I wasn't a good torah reader it would just be weird. I'll PM you my cell phone number, okay? I answer my phone on Shabbas, that isn't a problem. If I don't answer, we might be eatting Shabbas dinner. I'd get back to you as soon as possible. Now go check your PMs!
