I don't like the idea too much. I like being able to create a unique profile. I like that not everyone can. I know that sounds mean, but hey. If everyone could do everything..... This kind of takes away from the wow-ness of a custome made profile.

It is a widgets based profile system that will NOT be using CSS whereas you can drag and drop content wherever you like. It will more than likely be flash based.
I predict that everything will be scattered all over the place in a noobish fashion.
The profiles will be reverse compatible so either you can use a flash based profile or a css based profile.

Thankfully we'll still be able to use CSS, so I don't have much worries.
The majority will probably be tacky and cluttered, considering us oldbies are the minority. So ours should still stand out.

Oh, looks nice. But I hope they won't take away CSS coding, so many would be disappointed, including me eek

meh, it's good and it's bad. it's definately bad for those in the profile business. i do think at first there will be lots of cluttered profiles, but eventually most people will make them a lil nicer, eventually. course there will always be those profiles that just have too much.
i dunno, i'm happy and unhappy about it at the same time.

I want to use the CSS. Although that other person was right. We will be considerd as oldies. It might not be unquie and cool as the new prgrams Gaia has decided but the good thing is we made ours hand made and not drag made. :3 With our own keyboard and computers. With our own graphics not like a flash way. Think of the good things. =D

hmmmmm hard to say personaly it makes it harder for those of us who make profiles for gold and all... and i just hope we can still do css cause if we couldnt i would probably leave gaia as doing the css code is the one thing that keeps me coming back for more of gaia...

June 2006 I honestly don't want the profiles to change like they will. I mean they will be fun to mess with but I'd think it would just start to be too easy to make the profile to look good. & so much harder to make them look unique.

+ cruci-fiction + Yeah, it's crule to say, "Why should others be able to do what I can?" But it is what I'm thinking. All of my friends see my profile and they are all, "wow, you did that?!" But, to tell you the truth, I'm already thinking of things I could do with it. If its like a open canvas that makes it so we can just put whatever we pelase whereever we please on it . . . then I should enjoy it. Or at least for while. + in space +

[_ _] If braincells were like a box of chocolates...I sell profiles on Gaia... And personally, I'm kind of afraid of not being able to sell as many profiles if people can do similar things without my help. Certainly they may need my graphics, but they can do the "coding" part on their own. Sounds greedy, but it's really the only way that I make gold it seems. ::shrug:: Oh well, I guess. It's good that they're trying to be innovative or whatever, but I have a feeling I might feel the weight of not having as many commissions as before when they're released. :/ ... There must be some missing. [_ _]
